Our second culture festival approaches! Because we're in a performing club, we get to choose between doing that and participating in the school play. Sadly, we apparently can't practice for both at the same time. Guess who's with us when we decide to try new things and pick the play!


Seiji: "...You've been fidgeting restlessly for a while now. Calm down."
P-chan: "I'm really nervous..."
Seiji: "Don't think about it too much, there's nothing to worry about."
P-chan: "Still... Oh yeah. You're used to the stage, aren't you?"


Seiji: "...I guess."
P-chan: "........................."

Way to set your co-star's fears to rest, Piano-sempai.


Seiji: "...Don't come too close. You'll infect me with your nerves."
P-chan: (...I think he might be nervous too.)

Aww, I thought maybe a hug would help settle those butterflies.


Announcer: "The Habataki Academy school play will begin shortly."
Seiji: "Let's go. Remember, I won't cover up for you if you flub your lines."
P-chan: "Please stop stressing me out~."

...You're kind of terrible at this encouragement thing, Seiji.


Seiji: "...You have found your way, and you know where you are going."
P-chan: "You are a writer now, and I an actress. We have both been sucked into the whirlpool called talent!"


Seiji: "Then what of love? What will become of this love I have for you?"
P-chan: "Pursuing love as one's only purpose is a mere trifle. But talent is a different story. I must pursue it with all of my being!"



P-chan: "Good-bye, you whom I had loved. I can no longer see anything but the path of an actress before m-"


Seiji: "Wait."
P-chan: "...Eh?" (Huh? This is where he should have said "Don't go!" and clung to me...)

What I would give to see that!


Seiji: "Let's say both you and I devote our lives to our talent..."
P-chan: (H-he's changing his lines! Seiji-sempai~...)
Seiji: "If our eventual destination is a dead end, what would we do?"
P-chan: "Er..."
Seiji: "Should talent forsake us after we have cast everything else away, we'd neither be able to go on nor retrace our steps."

P-chan's natural eloquence shines through! though I guess if a co-actor made up lines on the spot during an actual performance I would be pretty tongue-tied too


Seiji: "Pursuing talent with all of your being... Do you truly understand what a dangerous gamble that is?"
P-chan: "I..." (What do I do, the script calls for me to break free and run away...)




Seiji: "...Forget it, just go."


P-chan: "Seiji-sempai... I mean, you..."
Seiji: "Good-bye, you whom I had loved. I wonder when the futures we pursued started diverging so?"


Seiji: "...Aah, it's finally over."
P-chan: "Haa, you really surprised me when you changed some of the lines..."

Incidentally, they were performing The Seagull.


Seiji: "That scenario is so opportunistic that it's been sticking in my craw ever since the first rehearsal."
P-chan: "Well... If you wanted to change it, then at least practice it in a rehearsal first..."
Seiji: "Your lines are the ones I can't stomach the most."


Seiji: "Killing one's talent, talent not being able to rest in peace... Each and every one of those lines hurt."
P-chan: "I'm just following the script..."


Seiji: "And I'm just complimenting your acting. Be happy about it."
P-chan: "...Er, thank you very much."


Seiji: "Hmph."

He storms off and P-chan's left wondering if that really was a compliment at all... Looks like it hit a bit close to home.

This reminds me a bit of a scene in Jade Empire, though at least there both sets of lines had been rehearsed prior to it. And the women were women playing man playing women.

...something for me to look forward to! XD

Yeah, I tried to keep it vague as much as possible XD. It IS very funny when it does show up, and you're not very far from it.

So, no 3P theatre scene? That's a pity!

And that scene in JE was good, even if I screwed up first time XD

Someone should LP Lego Chess, then! Playing it collectively would be an epic mess. And we would all learn important things!

I love Chess, I played it mostly at high school because I finally met someone else who liked it too! We spent hours on it during breaks... and playing poker. They played also other card games, but I can't play them to save my life, no matter how much people try to teach me.
I was learning how to play go, but I suck at strategy.

This sounds like a very good idea.

I'd offer, but my game speaks Danish and I'm not sure if it will run on a Vista. Plus I am a godawful Chess player XD

Poker is fun! The only annoying thing is deciding what to use as chips! We once had to bet pencils XD
I have that kind of face too, but it doesn't help because I'm bad at bluffing when betting D:

Apologies to everyone for disappearing without warning, my router started throwing inconsistent tantrums and other things distracted me! P4 being chief among them.

We now return to our regularly-scheduled sempai-dating!


Seiji: "The autumn leaves, hmm... They're turning a properly beautiful red."

Time to climb the mountain and enjoy the view together!


P-chan: "Wow, it's so pretty..."
Tamao: "Yeah. Climbing this high was worth it."

Someone doesn't look happy, though...



P-chan: "...Why are you making such a scary face, Seiji-sempai?"

I dunno, I think that qualifies as more of a cute little frowny face, but... on second thought, let's not go there.


Seiji: "...Sorry for being scary. I'm just tired."
P-chan: "We've only been walking for about 15 minutes, though?"
Seiji: "Already. It's already been 15 minutes."
Tamao: "Let's take a break. I spotted a vending machine earlier, so I'll go buy us drinks."


Seiji: "Oolong tea. Hot."
Tamao: "Roger."

You have no idea how tempted I was to rewrite that line as "tea, oolong, hot." Tamao's being pretty nice here, and seeing how Seiji takes it as his natural due makes me think that this kind of thing happens a lot between the two of them.



Tamao goes off to get the drinks and leaves us with Piano-sempai~


Seiji: "...What?"
P-chan: "No, it's nothing..."
Seiji: "Liar, you were smirking. I just don't have much stamina."

shoo, dirty thoughts, shooooo He looks so sad :< Doesn't playing the piano take quite a bit of stamina? I guess it's not the sort that helps with hiking... Or maybe he just needs the proper incentive.


P-chan: "I wasn't thinking that at all! It's just, in your hair..."

We hasten to dispel his worried insecurity about his physical condition.


P-chan: "There's a leaf stuck to the back of your head."


Seiji: "...So?"
P-chan: "It's um, cute."

I'm not sure this is helping bolster his masculinity, P-chan.


Seiji: "Huh?!"


Seiji: "What do you mean, cute? That doesn't make me feel any better at all."
P-chan: "But it looks like an ornamental hairpin..."
Seiji: "Shut up, let's see how you like this."

Piano-sempai starts pelting us with handfuls of leaves.


P-chan: "Wah, that's so mean!"
Seiji: "Haha, you're all covered in leaves."
P-chan: "Geez... Take that!"
Seiji: "Uwah!"

Leaf fight!


Tamao: "...Heeey."
P-chan: "...Ah, Tamao-sempai."
Seiji: "W-what is it? You should have said something if you were there."
Tamao: "Nah, I didn't want to get in the way."



Awkwaaaaaard. Both Seiji and P-chan fall silent.


Tamao: "I bought hot oolong tea, hot coffee, and cold mineral water..."
Seiji: "...Cold mineral water."
Tamao: "...Hmm? Didn't you want the oolong tea?"
Seiji: "Shut up, just hand it over."
Tamao: "Before I do that, take those leaves out of your hair. They look like a girl's hairpins."

They look innocuous on paper, but Tamao's deadpanning his lines in the most snarky, sarcastic way possible.



P-chan: (See, they are cute...)

Sometimes, being a typical otome protagonist helps you survive awkward situations with thoughts that deftly sneak around the point and clobber it on the head before shoving it under the carpet of Let's Pretend That Didn't Just Happen. Keep thinking happy thoughts, P-chan!

3P mode is awkward, you guys T_T... I do approve of any throwaway hint to Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the U-S-S-S Enterprise, though. Especially when my head was trying to make that joke in a palatable way before I realized it had been done already.

Oh Tamao, you truly are the third wheel in this equation.

The mysterious case of Seiji's disappearing bangs.

...We're just standing on an island on the back of a giant awkward turtle, aren't we? The game seems to favor Seiji.

The main reason why the game seems to favor Seiji is because our affection with him's higher than with Tamao, thus why we were able to get that CG (and I was not, damn you Seiji!) If the affections were reversed then we'd have access to CGs focusing on Tamao while Seiji goes passive-aggressively sarcastic.

Also man, the judo club 3P was definitely more of a friendly rivalry than this one. These two be ice-cold.

I was rereading the LP because...Seiji's just adorable and almost perfect, okay? I-it's not like I'm totally enamored with him or anything! Baka, baka, baka, I have no idea what you're talking about.



Wait, what was I talking about again? Oh, right! Starting again: I was rereading and I have only just realized what the second one was. I have had this same revelation with Romeo and Juliet recently. If it weren't for the notes, I'd miss all of the sexual puns.

Seiji: "That was fun. It'd be nice if it were always like this."

Someone's happy about how the date went!



I discovered something interesting about 3P Ex-Approach - if you get enough hearts during Approach mode (exact number unknown), they start off at 60% rather than 0%, as seen with Seiji above. Tamao still seems to start out on the right regardless, though.

We can switch between them just once at first, at whatever % and whatever star/Approach level, but to manually switch between them again, we have to fill up all 5 stars the same way as in normal Ex-Approach. This time, with the initial 60% boost, we manage to 100% Seiji and 99% (dammit, so close) Tamao.


Tamao: "The day's coming to an end soon..."
Seiji: "Too soon. Too bad there isn't an extra hour in each day."
P-chan: "No matter how many extra hours there are, I think you'd still want one more."

Aww, cute.


Seiji: "I'd rather you turn up in my dreams."
P-chan: "Eeehh?"
Tamao: "Ah, that''d be nice. Visit mine too, please."
P-chan: "E-even if you say that..."


Seiji: "I said that before he did, so you'd better visit mine first. Don't get lost on the way."
Tamao: "I don't mind being first or last, as long as you stay for longer."


P-chan: (Uuu, neither of them are listening to me~...)

Dates now fill me with a peculiar mix of "that's kinda cute", "ahahaha why", and "AAAWKWAAAAAAARD".

We also had this particular one on our birthday, so Karen comes up to us at school the next day.


Karen: "Sorry it's late! Happy birthday!"


P-chan: ("Sakura-scented goodnight bear". Wow, a scented soft toy! Looks like I'll be able to sleep well!)

We'll cuddle it to sleep every night <3

Later that evening, as we're snuggling up and getting comfy with our newest acquisition, the doorbell rings.


P-chan: "What's the matter, Seiji-sempai?"
Seiji: "What do you think's the matter? If you don't already know, I'm not going to say it."
P-chan: "Um..."

Seiji: "...I'm going home."
P-chan: "Ehh? Er..."


Seiji: "...Or that's what I thought, but since that would render this useless, I'll just tell you. It's a little late, but happy birthday. Here's your present."
P-chan: "Wow, thank you very much!"
Seiji: "Well then, I'm really heading home now. The car's waiting for me."
P-chan: (He remembered...)

He smiled and retracted his tsun without making us writhe too much! And he didn't mention anything about clerks picking out the present for him! You've come so far, Piano-sempai. ;v;


P-chan: ("A pink-gold anklet". Beautiful... It's sparkling in the light. Maybe I'll wear it out on a date next time.)

I'm torn between hoping there's a special dialogue if you wear one guy's present to a 3P date, and hoping there isn't. Torn.


Karen: "Yay! Bambi, I love you!"

In other news, Karen beats Piano-sempai to a confession. What do?

We go for the sleepover we promised her and Miyo, of course.


Karen: "Mmmm, you're both a sight for sore eyes~."
Miyo: "You're like a dirty old man, Karen. Making me wear something like this again..."
P-chan: (Saying that after you've already put it on...)

Karen gets to spend more time on her hobby! As usual, though, the topic quickly turns to more juicy stuff. We give them the same answer we did the last time:


Karen: "Shitara-sempai! He sure is popular."
Miyo: "You talk too much. Still, he certainly seems milder now."
Karen: "That's right... I do feel like the way he sees Bambi has changed, that's for sure."
Miyo: "His interest in you exceeds that of a mere target of observation. He's not being honest about it, either, so it's hard to tell."
P-chan: (Interest? I wonder...)

I just love Miyo. She looks like a little girl, has mystical fortune-telling abilities, and takes advantage of her appearance to run around town stalking gathering intelligence about anyone who's anyone without looking too much like a creepy stalker. I can just picture her staring fixedly with those huge innocent eyes at her current observational target from a distance, head slightly cocked and mentally writing down every little detail she sees. All while heatedly fending off concerned passersby who ask her if she's lost her mother somewhere.

Ahhhh I just love the girls, they're so awesome this time round. <3


Karen: "By the way, what do you think of the council president?"

...Oh shit you guys she's on to us.


Miyo: "You have both sempai hovering over you. Is Bambi what they call a little devil?"

Et tu, Miyo?


P-chan: "T-that's not true!" (Uuu... If I'm not careful with what I say, I'll be digging my own grave...)

Why does 3P mode feel like it wants us to get out of it asap? ;-;

As a direct result of the sleepover, Seiji sends us a text over the following weekend:


P-chan: "It says... 'I was interrogated by your friends. Stop telling them unnecessary things.'"

Which is followed shortly by one by Tamao:


P-chan: "It says... 'Your friends told me off and asked me to come clean... I wonder how I should respond to that'."
(That must have been Karen and Miyo. What in the world did they say..?)

I know that in normal 2P this raises your affection with the guy you choose, but I'm not sure about what happens in 3P when you choose one guy and the girls ask you about the other. ヽ（・＿・；)ノ

Seiji: "Do you have any plans this coming Sunday?"

He came up to us and asked, how could we say no?! For old times' sake, Piano-sempai date go!


Seiji: "Up till a little while ago, I did feel it was premature of you to wear that."
P-chan: "Hm?"


Seiji: "Those provocative clothes of yours. When I look at them now, though, they don't look inappropriate at all. It's a somewhat complicated feeling."
P-chan: (Yay, it looks like he's gotten to really like these outfits.)

I love that little rueful 'how did this happen' smile. P-chan's lacklustre reaction aside, we've finally conditioned him to really appreciate sexy clothing!

...Though in this case, because it was already autumn, we were actually wearing at least three layers, one of which was a long-sleeved purple top. And we had on a black skirt with leggings. I forgot if we'd shrugged on a vest or a fluffy long-sleeved coat on top of everything, but whatever it is, we're dressed for the season! And probably showing less skin than Mister Oops I Forgot to Button My Shirt! (very appreciative of that though I am)

Anyway, we push a bunch of his buttons and cling to him a little since we're out from under Tamao's jealously watchful gaze, so we're rewarded with an Episode after making the rounds at the free market (why do the boys like to ask us out here and not let us buy anything, grrrr).


Seiji: "Oi, hand..."
P-chan: (Does... he want to hold hands?) "Did you want to hold mine?"


Seiji: "...I didn't say that."
P-chan: (He didn't...?) "It sounded like you were going to say that..."

Awwwww, we all know you were!


Seiji: "I was not."
P-chan: (Really? Well, if that's the case...) "I... want to hold yours, though?"





Well done, P-chan. Well done.


Seiji: "If you insist. ...Come on."
P-chan: "Fufu. ♥ Don't let go, okay?"


Seiji: "Ahh, sheesh... What am I going to do with you..."

I think the question should be, what are we going to do to you?




P-chan: (Even my heart is racing...)

Seiji: "I'm going to bite you. ...I'm just kidding, of course."

P-chan: "This way?"


Seiji: "This match is a draw. In chess, it'd be what's called a stalemate."
P-chan: "Eh? By match, you mean..."


Seiji: "I've put up with your offensive for a long time now. No, I'm still putting up with it right this very instant."


Seiji: "I keep having to fight a defensive battle. Can you believe it? Me? Usually, I'd have already..."
P-chan: "........................"
Seiji: "...I'd have already lost a long time ago. So you should exercise some discretion. Understand?"
P-chan: "O-okay..."
Seiji: "...I'll take up whatever challenge you care to throw at me."


Seiji: "However, I won't go easy on you, no matter what. I'll be doing whatever it takes to win. Remember that."


P-chan: "Ah..."

He stalks off into the night simmering with delicious UST. nomnom

...And then we receive another deredere post-date text about how he can't stop thinking about the next time they'll meet despite having just parted ways. Cute, but since I can't quite picture him laboriously typing that out while fuming, and he's sent it before, let's just say he called up the previously-sent message and reused it in his pique. <.<

Clearly Seiji didn't expect Pawn-chan to cross the board and become a Queen~

I admit I miss seeing Seiji solo, though Seiji is what makes Tamao a passive-aggressive snark factory interesting. If you have a save from before 3P it'd be cool to see Seiji's other events/ending after the 3P one too.

I'd like to see a 2P date with Tamao, though I don't know if you can do that without triggering PvP.

As long as we make sure to balance any 2P dates out with high amounts of 3P (which might eventually mean rejecting some 2P dates) we'll be fine. The key is to make the triangle as stuck-together as possible, with both guys at max affection, so a 2P date here or there actually makes for faster affection growth.

Seiji just keeps winning my heart. I am so very, very sad the 3P mode can't be with both him and Junpei, though I'm not saying I mind his 3P mode with Tamao, that is snark gold. I'm surprised Tamao's the jealous type, though. Wasn't expecting that.

I honestly just want to hug this guy, though, just. Best tsundere. Best.

So cuuuuuute~ I'll just fangirl quietly in this corner. Chess references in response to molesting~ How exactly is he supposed to 'win'?

3P dates.. Are something, that's for sure. That sleep over did make it seem like you should reconsider!
Glad to see how these go, but I don't think I could ever do the 3p ones myself!

I know little to nothing about chess, but I've seen people play it, and doesn't the player have knock over/take the queen to win? I'm really sorry I have no clue about these things...

King, and I meant how he was supposed to win at consensual molesting because his offensive would be something akin to: "Take that! /pats you/ Your Nordic alien rook cannot save you now! ...Wh-what are you--/blush/--It wasn't like I did that because I wanted to touch you. Victory is the goal! /blushes under assault from P-chan/ ...Stalemate."

Well actually, my question was what would be defined as capturing the king in this format.

Honestly, I wonder at that myself. His concept of skinship and romantic relationships are so out there, I'm not surprised P-chan has to take the lead since he's clearly out of his comfort zone and has no clue what to do.

And this is why Devil-sama!P-chan/Uke!Seiji is my OTP of choice.

Thankfully, nenne is having a 50% sale on top of our 50% sticker, so we can actually afford a furisode this year! It was getting a bit too close for comfort, because they're 300 Rich, so we usually need 150 to pick one up with the help of the 50% discount (and Anneri wouldn't pay us so we were stuck at 139 for the longest time :<). We only have the one choice, but beggars bargain-hunters can't be choosers, right? Rather fittingly, though, it's a 'koakuma' furisode - whatever that means. It looks normal to me?

Karen also promotes us to Fashion Level 5, hell yeahhhh, so let's talk a bit more about fashion levels!

I've mentioned earlier that Level 2 unlocks Ultra styles while Level 3 unlocks combined styles. Combined styles are achieved by filling up the gauges of two styles in a specific pair. Let's see what we can cook up with our current wardrobe!



Cute + Natural produces a Girly outfit. This is Ruka's favourite. As you can see, it's very, uh, pink. And girly. Manaka's ribbon makes a cameo.



Sexy + Vivid produces a Wild outfit. This is Kou's favourite. I had to experiment a bit more than with Girly, and the actual outfit itself is a little... strange?



Active + Vivid gives us a Sporty outfit. Though we haven't seen hide nor hair of him, this is Arashi's favourite. Black apparently counts as a vivid colour.



Cute + Sexy gives us Koakuma, or Little Devil. As you might have guessed, this is Junpei's favourite. It usually involves short skirts/shorts.



Chic + Cute results in Onee-kei, or Older Sister Type. Tamao likes this. A lot. You'll also note that it differs from Girly only in that it lacks the pink bolero. And yes, the ribbon really is named MANAKA.

Vivid + Chic results in Modern, which is Seiji's default favourite... And I swear I once found a combination that would give us that but I just spent 45 minutes trying to match the right clothes and asdfgjhlsdksaddjsldjsajkd

I'll post it up at a later date if I manage to stumble across it again. -_-

Another function of Fashion Levels 1-3 is that it decides how much information Karen feels you're ready for. Level 1 tell you which basic style each guy likes:



Level 2 tells you what they don't like:



While at Level 3 we hit paydirt:



Their favourite combined style is at the top, their favourite colour at the bottom, while how much they currently like each style is displayed with the bars. Each additional increment changes the comments they give you about your style at the start of each date. As you can see, we've more or less reached the most favourable comments Seiji will give for the sexy style.

Another hidden function of the fashion levels up to 5 is that it increases the number of points each article of clothing contributes to your overall style gauge. This makes it very much easier to cobble together ultra or combined styles without driving yourself too crazy. Most of the details are in the wiki, which also helpfully tells us which item gives what type of style points, but here's a quick rundown of the basics.

If at level 1, an item gives +1 of any style:
→ +1 at level 4

If at level 1, an item gives +2 or more:
→ +1 at level 3
→ +2 at level 4
→ +3 at level 5

For example, the short rabbit-fur coat (ラビットファーショートコート) seen in the Koakuma example gives the following points at level 1:
Sexy +4
Cute +2
Vivid +1

Meaning that at level 5, it'd give us:
Sexy +7
Cute +5
Vivid +2



I think the stars count as a point... somehow...

When we put it together with a plaid one-piece (チェックワンピース), which is +7 Cute, +5 Active, and +2 Vivid at level 5...



...My understanding breaks down at this point because I have no idea how the numbers interact, so let's just stop this right here and talk about something else.

Like Karen's rewards! She gives us a little gift every time we hit fashion level 5, and these items are carried over to the next playthrough, as long as you reach the ending:

1st: Bright red one-piece, which immediately turns your dominant basic style into its Ultra version as long as you're at least fashion level 2
2nd: Headband, which helps us raise our Fitness more easily (we could sure use this...)
3rd: Perfume, which guarantees a date disturber if you put it on when going for a date
4th: Santa dress, which makes everyone come to you during the Christmas party regardless of affection level
5th: Queen training suit

The Queen training suit is kind of like a Macho Brace in that it retards your parameter gain and stresses you out while you wear it, but multiplies your stats by 2.5 times or so if you take it off after wearing it for one year straight (even on special occasions). This makes becoming the Rose Queen (130 in every stat) in your third year easier, apparently... But I managed to squeak through by hitting 130 Fitness literally the day before the event in my DS playthrough, so it's not impossible without!

And that concludes the random fashion level guide.

I do in fact have a couple saves from before the 3P event because I'd intended to gun for Seiji's 2P for my own/everyone else's gratification... So if we do get to the end of this awkward-snark train, it's definitely an option!

The exams come and go, and there's no real change in the rankings, but... Ruka got a perfect score in math?! Was he doing this before?

Seiji hoves into view as we get ready to leave later that day, muttering something about not having called his ride today. We graciously offer to have tea at the cafe with him.


Seiji: "Ah, I was hoping to do that... I mean, I was just getting thirsty, too, so that'll do."

It's adorable to see you still trying to put up that paper-thin tsunshell. <3


Seiji: "...Ah."
P-chan: "Hm?"


Seiji: "You have a cut at the base of your little finger."
P-chan: "Huh, you're right. It must have been a paper cut or something..."


Seiji: "How careless of you."
P-chan: "Uuu, it's something that happens to everyone..."
Seiji: "Nope. It doesn't happen to me at all. See?"

I suspect that's because teachers and non-existent sempai don't ask you to carry their printouts around! If we didn't actually see him (haphazardly) banging those dusters together, I wouldn't have put it past him to be mysteriously exempt from classroom duties.


P-chan: "...Hmm."
Seiji: "? What is it?"
P-chan: "I guess what they say about piano players having big hands is true."
Seiji: "Huh?"
P-chan: "Look."

I think they have deft and.. skillful hands rather than big ones, necessarily, but I see what you're doing here and I'm proud of you. (; v ;)/


Seiji: "...It's certainly bigger than yours. Some professional players have small hands, though. They rearrange scores for their own personal use if they can't span an octave."
P-chan: "Hmm, is that so."


P-chan: "Waa..."
Seiji: "Your hands certainly are small. I suppose you wouldn't be able to span an octave either, huh?"
P-chan: "Seems like it..."



Seiji: "They really are small."

Ahahahahaha, I remember playing the piano when I was younger. I didn't really span octaves or anything like that, but damn was it annoying having to reach notes without moving my hand too much. It was unfair.

This happens to be one of my most favorite scenarios ever. In real life too. But hardly anyone uses it. SO OF COURSE PIANO PERFECTION-KUN AND P-CHAN (hey, alliteration) HAVE THIS SCENE. Oh, be still my heart. I just. Love. This. So. Much. I think my new habit of checking for updates in this thread before anything else on this site is justified now.

Agreed. I can cross an octave but beyond that? Nope. I have a piece right now (Rachmaninoff, Prelude opus 23 no 4 in D Major) and so much jumping is necessary because no, Rachmaninoff, I cannot cross 12 keys with this tiny hand. Moonlight Sonata...gah, just far enough that it's difficult to play but not enough that you could just let go of the top note.

I think the common perception of pianists isn't that they have large hands, but that they tend to have long, graceful fingers.

Yeah, I dunno how true the is. I play piano, and my hands are really not what I'd call 'dainty' (I can quite easily reach notes further apart than an octave). But plenty of piano-players have small hands, I think, and they're still able to play with skill.

In fact, who needs fingers or hands? This guy can play with a hook.
