I think that the general consensus wants me to become a mage.

Now the choice is whether I become a squishy mage or not.

I was gonna vote magic and agility, but Muscle Mage just sounds so cool.

Hm, I say magic user and vitality, with decent agility. And as Failure Hero stated, those attacks would be good to get as they can be amazingly deadly.

After seeing us beat Kobold, Atsubro becomes the optimistic friend he was before. I promptly tell him to attack and kill the kitty cat.

Mission Complete! You can see, there, that we gained those three demons into our party. Later on, we'll be able to move these demons around and customize teams.



This time, I put the point into Vitality. We are on our way to becoming a MUSCLE MAGE.

Kobold:

Ahhhh starter demons. My shameful secret is that I actually get really attached to Pixie and never want to fuse her. I'll end up with like, a level 18 Pixie despite the ridiculous XP costs. My attachment is even worse in Nocturne, where she evolves into High Pixie. orz

High Pixie's a beast, if I remember correctly.

Well, I thought so in Strange Journey, anyway.

Pixie is a real beast in Nocturne if you keep her until the last dungeon. She gains insane skills and amazing stats,

I love Pixie. I wish all the SMT games that let you start with Pixie would allow you to power her up to High Pixie ala Nocturne.

Also, I am pleased to see you following the enlightened ways of Muscle Magic

Sadly, I don't think Devil Survivor allows you to do that. Pixie will stay a Pixie.
Although, I certainly think that Pixie, as a starter demon, is much MUCH more useful than Kobold or Kabuso.

Indeed, I'm on my way to becoming a Muscle Mage.
Which gives off a strange image in my head, as most mages in my imagination or pretty, squishy things.

Earlier I talked about how Atsuro is always a ball of optimism and Yuzu is a nervous wreck. Well, despite my annoyance of her at various times, Yuzu probably acted like any other sane person. It's perfectly normal for someone to panic and want to get rid of a device that'd summon demons.

Of course, It'd be pretty awesome to have a device that'd summon demons.

But even after what happened, is it right to throw everything out immediately? We don't even know if that's the safest thing to do at this point.

Agreed. It'd be horrible if the police got murdered by the demons; More chaos would come of this.



And there's the fact that Naoya might assassinate us if we don't follow his orders. He just seems like that kind of guy.





Yeah, we were probably lucky that some low-level demons popped out. What if, for example, Lucifer was summoned?

... Anyway, the other function I found on the COMP is the harmonizer.


Once again, our protagonist shows just how eloquent he is. It makes me wish I could put some points into his non-existant INT stat.


It's similar to the Summoning Program, and I have no idea what principles are behind it. But It seems to match some wavelength so that our attacks works on demons...Likewise, it attunes their attacks to lessen the impact we take.



So am I, Yuzu, So am I. It feels that Somehow Atsuro should be the smart magic guy instead of us.

Summoning demons, protecting us from them...What does he want us to do!


I avoid the logical answer. I don't think Yuzu would like it if I said that.

I like thinking of Protag-kun as are really clam and chill guy who comes off as thoughtful and in control but is actually dumb as dirt.

So if we wanted to...we could have been there at that moment. In addtition, the COMPS are modified to summon demons and fight against them. So, what Conclusion can we draw from this?



I just love how the First Option just makes Protag-chan just look so lacking. In anycase, WE CAN TOTALLY PREVENT OUR DEATHS, HECK YEAH! I want emails that can help me do that!

I finally got through the screenshots that I took two days ago. Wow, that's a lot of exposition. I never realized how much dialogue this game has. I think it'll get better once we actually get into the games "days" itself.

With that said, would you guys prefer the whole experience that spans over a longer period of time? Or would you prefer for me to script more when there's lengthy dialogue like this?

Please note that "contracting" demons only occurs during the initial boot of the program. Defeating demons summoned via program or Defeating demons via other's COMPS will not apply.
