I knew we shouldn't have scheduled our annual BF conference so close to the zombocalypse.



Goal

And here's our playground for the rest of the game! Each player has a token that represents where they currently are on the map. Right now we're all huddled in a corner, very possibly trying hard not to pee our pants.

Our supplies and the survivors' current status. Thank goodness we always start out with a handgun. I mean, what would we do with the rest of that crap? It's not like you can disembowel a zombie with a butter knife... Actually, you can. I've even had survivors bash zombies to death with a motherfucking lamp.

Anyway, let's meet our lucky survivors!

Look at all those vastly different characters; it's almost as if we're from completely different universes! Can we ever possibly get along? Let's talk about...

Just so you know, you can't actually equip survivors with stuff. They'll automatically grab stuff from the shared pool of items (darn commies!). But I'll make sure to bring it with us when we move somewhere else. (Not like I actually have a choice, unless I want people to be fighting with their bare hands like that time when I sent one of my survivors out on a suicide mission.)

It's oddly reassuring even in the wake of a zombie apocalypse, everyone holds their prejudice close to their hearts.

Somehow I am unsurprised that I hate everyone and everyone hates me. Perfect. Though I am really surprisingly useful.

WHY NO LATIN AMERICAN ANCESTRY

Also, I just noticed. Vide seems to have a bad relationship with everyone, doesn't she?

Indeed I do. And everyone but Oscar has some sort of prejudice towards me. Either I will die first or I will set up an elaborate scheme to kill everyone and become the only survivor.

Say, Oscar, I heard Vide and Snark are distant cousins. They lost contact many years ago because of a family feud.

Ah, that's my fault. I use the default ancestries that the devs provided, even though we're using custom characters. Here's some more information:

Note that none of the survivors are referred to by their ancestries in the game itself, or even in the custom character creator, so you can replace any of the ancestries provided here with your own kind of categorization. Which means that if you want to play a latin american character, you definitely can! It just means that we can't have more than six different ancestries, that's all.

By the way, once you've spread a rumour, that particular rumour can never be used again. Which makes sense, because it would weird if EVERYBODY turned out to be distant cousins or criminal masterminds or what-have-you.

Oh, and don't get too excited about the conspiracies. It takes a few specific conditions for that to happen, actually, so it's not a very common occurrence unless you're specifically trying to make it happen.
