If you're doing hit-and-run and utilizing your rumours properly you shouldn't be in this situation in the first place, you incompetent.

(Seriously, though? Depends on a lot of factors. How horrible is the relationship? How difficult it is to get the relationships back up to green again? How useful/essential to success is the person in question? Is it just two people who hate each other? Can you feasibly separate your survivors into two groups, so your relationships go back to a neutral place again? How bloodthirsty are you feeling today? Etc.)

EDIT: If you DO kill somebody off though, make sure to milk them for all they're worth. Suicide breaches are always fun, for example.

((Andrea managed to piss off everyone. Honestly I think the problem was when Bryan got infected, only Javert wanted him to live because they shared a burning hatred of all women, and that made all the relationships take plummet. With the rumour on top of that, Andrea went to red because of prior bitchy behaviour while everybody else just took to a lighter green and fixed themselves.

How DO you view the clues, though? I feel like such an idiot, but I can't figure out if there's an extra screen somewhere. And for the matter, how do you cook a large meal? And... erm... why can I only barricade loudly?

On the main diary screen, move your cursor to the far left of the screen. When it glows red, click, and it'll slide over to show the clues screen.
For the latter two, assign somebody to "prepare a meal" or "barricade". At this point, certain words at the end of the sentence will turn green. Click on them and more options will pop up.

((Thank you! I figured it was something like that, but dealing with Windows 8 has made me very wary of clicking around too much, so I didn't want to experiment. It's like trying to talk calmly to a maniac about to snap on you most of the time. With Classic Shell it's all SEEMINGLY normal and then, SUDDENLY, something innoculous makes it snap and it changes the screen into strange and alien things, and my computer feels more yandere than ever.

Mine can't decide if it loves me with passion or wants to murder me by giving me a heart attack. I mean yeah, it runs thing smoothly most of the time and it performs really well, but then it just freezes with a soul-melting screech and the colours get weird and I have to turn it off by force. And then it apologizes.

Just earlier today Zafehouse: Diaries BSOD'd my laptop. It just went NOPE and crashed. Thank goodness it's working fine now. (I think it was because I left it on all night and it was cranky from the lack of sleep, but now that I let it rest a little it's happy again. I love my laptop but that doesn't stop me from abusing it ohohohoho <3)

Personally, I would probably try to keep everyone alive even if there's this one guy everyone hates, though I haven't actually played the game so that might get everyone killed?

Confirming actions.

Haniel /Erika has proposed a plan.

We will stop at the bar and decide what to do about the church and university once we get there. These are the actions you'll perform automatically for an hour after each breach:

Haniel/Erika wants to search.
Eboby/Ted wants to watch.
Sarasha/Marko wants to clean corpses.
JohnStargazer/Mikolaj wants to patrol and report back.
Randomletters/Tappei wants to cook or clean corpses if there are no ingredients.

If somebody gets injured, Eboby /Ted will treat the injured and Sarasha /Marko will watch. The others will just do their regular default after-breach actions.

JohnStargazer /Mikolaj, Randomletters /Tappei, Eboby /Ted, and Sarasha /Marko have agreed to this plan.

Let me know if you want to modify your default after-breach action, and if you agree to this plan.

((That sounds fine to me! We might want to wait and see how many entrances we'll need to barricade in the bar before we decide if we want to use it as a temp base or not though. If it's too many, we might want to move on and not worry about it for now. I also think, with how everyone's relationships are currently, we should hold off on using a rumor unless things deteriorate further and simply keep Ted and Tappei separated for the time being.))

Conclusion:

IF Marius is there, it kills him, regardless of injury status.
IF 1 of the 3 baseball bats aren't there, Valjean dies.
IF you send away Marius so he isn't fucking around infecting his fail on everyone, the zombie can be downed.
IN all 5 tries Éponine killed the zombie with a baseball bat.

In summary: Marius, you're USELESS and Éponine, she does not fuck around.

If Marius dies, incidently, Éponine goes to RED to everyone because she blames them. If Valjean dies, everyone notes they never liked him anyway.

Only solid green relationship: Valjean and Javert.))

(To whoever's been saying assaulting is better than investigating:
I sent one of mine to assault a place.
He came back with contusions and major lacerations.
So... Yeah. It's not quite as harmless as it tends to appear! If you investigate, the worst you can do is make a racket on the way back. Another survivor knocked over shelves thrice and cut himself on broken equipment four times, once two hours apart. How can someone be so clumsy?)

I never said it was harmless, only that it was more useful. I always breach and assault in a group bar special circumstances so it's safer; don't split up your group unless you have a good reason for it.

Ohh. Well, that makes sense! The more you know~
(Others did say investigating made no sense when someone could assault though, even if it was just one person sent to investigate, so you weren't the one causing me to do a stupid thing. :B)

I personally never have a use for investigating myself, but that's probably because of my play style (everybody moves in a group, breaches in a group, assaults in a group). You should use whatever suits your style best. :>

The plan sounds fine to me. Although Tappei seems a little too excited about the bar for my tastes. I'd rather not deal with a drunk dragon and the apocalypse.

Don't worry about it, school is way more important than the zombie apocalypse! Update will be up at some point in the near future. :>

How the hell does Ted use brass KNUCKLES? I imagine her picking them up with her robo leg and then hurling them at the nearest zombie, instead of wearing them on her hands like a normal person.



Yeah, I searched an extra turn because we were kinda interrupted on the first search. Good thing too, otherwise you wouldn't have found that awesome shotgun! Too bad we don't have a lot of ammo for it though.



As you can see here, the bonuses from patrolling and watching stack. Which is nice.

After all that breaching, we're finally back at the bar. Unfortunately, you haven't found a single clue.

Let's go ahead and finish the left side of town. For sure, I would like to assault-breach-search the church first. Then repeat the same for the university, and then the school, but with more assaults. I'm still unsure about the specifics of how much to assault before breaching; anyone have any thoughts?

Oh, sure, when I do things right, someone else gets the credit.

No wonder I never put in any effort.

I suppose we should either continue sweeping our way through town the way we have been, or pick someplace nice like the bar to fortify and try to play a more defensive game...

But I gotta say, we seem to be doing pretty well and this hit, search, move strategy.

Do we want to maybe do a few assaults and then breach one of the important buildings nearby, or move to the northeast corner and hit the last half dozen or so small buildings before we do?

I can't help it if it's been ingrained in my head that Mikolaj's a useless good-for-nothing, can I? The red truth never lies. :D

I'm impressed too. This is the most coherent, efficient group we've had so far. And from players who mostly haven't played the game, to boot! Future survivors, watch and learn. Take notes if you have to!

After thinking through this a while, I think we should finish the west side before moving onto the northeast corner.



As stated before, black represents breach-searching, and blue represents assaulting. With the school and the university, I would like to assault until all visible zombies that are inside the building are dead, and then breach. Also, once we get to the hotel, we should let some characters rest while others watch/patrol after searching.



I also have two variants of this plan in mind. In kakera A, we leave Ted and Tappei to barricade the bar (and if they finish barricading, switch over to search/patrol/watch) while Gurski, Marco, and I go assault-breach-search in accordance to the plan. In kakera B, everyone comes to assault-breach-search. What do you think, everyone?

I think having a safe place to retreat to is an excellent idea. I vote for plan A.
