Let's Survive Zafehouse: Diaries!

I spread a rumour about Mary (it's a small variation of the rumour that Ozzo proposed). That should stop her from trying to kill people in the meantime.



And the large meal is done! All we need to do is for Vide to get back to the warehouse! (And not die from fighting off a single zombie!)

While Vide is breaching the warehouse, I have Oscar investigate the warehouse (as Tionivo instructed earlier), I commandeer Snark to treat Andrew's wounds, and I have Mary watch because the entire warehouse is now searched and there's nothing else better to do.

And finally, at long last...





Soooo the bad news is, there's a mob of zombies heading our way right now. The GOOD news is...



TADAH! We're no longer trying to kill each other! YAY!

So, what should we do? Haul ass to the store that Vide investigated immediately, or would you like to do something else (like sacrifice Andrew to the zombies)? If so, tell me if there's anything specific you would like to bring. I'm definitely taking along all the med supplies and at least one handgun, in case you're wondering.

EDIT: Just so you know, Andrew won't die until he gets to "high-grade fever", so you can still milk his utility for a while yet...

But we have so many new toys: toys to break with, toys to crush with, toys to smash with! Bring the toys!

My vote is 'haul all five of our asses to the store I checked out right the fuck now'.

How much can we carry between locations?

Currently, you can carry a total weight of 20 between you (some people can carry more weight than others, of course). Everything in our weapons supply right now weighs 1 except for the ammo, which weigh 0.05 apiece, the tools range from 1-2 except for carving knives and pliers which are 0.5 (but they tend to have inferior stats), and everything under food and medicine right now weighs 0.5.

Ask me for specific item stats if you need them.

I think you even have enough sharp and pointy objects to make the best (or worst) barricade ever.

(Which tools are the best for building? I'm assuming we don't want to sledgehammar everything.)

The tools with the best barricading stat are the welder (5 stars) and the drill (5 stars). Both are fairly noisy with a quietness stat of 3. The hacksaw has a decent barricading stat (3 stars), but it's quieter than the other two (a quietness stat of 4). Since you seem to want to barricade slowly and quietly, I'd go with the hacksaw.

The fire axe is the best tool for breaking down furniture to make barricades because it has 5 stars for demolition but it's also somewhat quiet, with a quietness stat of 4.

The sledgehammer is the best close combat weapon you currently have, with a close combat stat of 4 (but an assault stat of 2). It has 5 demolition stars as well, but it's noisier than the fire axe because it has 3 quietness stars.

They are coming anyway. Let's take the best toys! Melt stuff, bore stuff, hack and smash stuff!

For tools I want the hacksaw and fire axe to come with us at the very least.

I'll take sledgehammer, flashlight, and wrench.

For this update I'm treating it as a majority vote, because I'm NOT going to let some of you breach the store alone while leaving people behind in the soon-to-be zombie infested warehouse! We have the required three votes, so the update will be up shortly.

I switched around the wrench for the screwdriver instead, because the screwdriver is basically a wrench but BETTER. Anyway, we take two hours to reach the store-

You know what? You're right. And since I can't save my game while I'm on the dilemma screen and the relentless "ba-dump ba-dump ba-dump" is getting on my nerves, I'll go ahead and let Oscar live. Update coming shortly.

Plus, Oscar has done nothing to any of us. If Andrew gets to live past being infected after breaking my leg, Oscar should get to live. Especially since we're in the middle of a zombie horde.

You've seen what happens when there is a hate-pair in the group. They start bickering, which makes everybody else hate each other even more. And then everybody else starts bickering, and before long we'll be back where we started. Unfortunately, it's 7am right now, and we need to wait until midnight before rumours become available again. I suggest you carefully think about what to do next. Maybe try to make another feast? And at least one person should search the store in case there's a rescue clue (and also we are in dire need of medical supplies).

Forgot to mention this: If you look at the survivors' conditions, you'll notice that Mary and Andrew are about to fall asleep. They'll still be able to move between locations, but that's about it. I can't give them orders while they're resting.

I... I don't want to... sleep here... it smells... baaadll

You heard Mary, people. Clean up the place so the poor harmless little girl can get some rest!

(Ana, last time Oscar was cleaning he cleaned one body per hour. Even with all five of us, it'll take four hours to clean all the bodies.)

It's my policy to have at least one person on cleaning duty, especially when there are so many corpses, because:

(1) See those 5 small meals? Those will start spoiling next turn because there are so many corpses festering around them. Reducing the number of corpses will lessen the probability of this occurring. (Though you just had a feast, so that might not be the most important thing to worry about now.)

(2) One of the corpses might decide that it's a good idea to come back to life at any time.

(3) We might get useful things from the corpses, like splints, for example.

On the other hand, you're all so messed up it might be just a good idea to make everybody search for meds (splints! splints!) or food ingredients (feast! feast!)

I want to start cleaning corpses then barricading the store once I'm done being treated. That racket HAS to have drawn attention to us.

...Can I win some sort of badass award for killing four zombies with a sledgehammer with a broken leg? No? Okay.

Yeah, it has. Fighting will always cause some noise, hence why it's a good idea to have quiet weapons with you at all times. (The handgun is somewhat noisy, but it's not like other weapons, like the circular saw for example.)

Seven zombies in total, in fact. You're our Broken MVP!



(Andrew, despite being a dead man walking, still somehow managed to kill six zombies with a handgun and a handgun butt. That's kind of amazing too. Then again, he doesn't actually have a broken leg, so VIDE STILL RULES THE KILL CHARTS.)

(Okay, dialing down the Mary to 1...

We shouldn't stay here. There's too many corpses to clean up and two of us are resting. By the time we finish, we'll have yet to start barricading and/or searching, and half the day will have been spent. Not to mention the corpses could decide to undie at any time.

The only useful things we can get from here are medical supplies. That's why we raided the warehouse and the store. Let's find them and get the hell back to our original store. It's likely still empty, and it has just as few entrances as this store. We can barricade that one while Andrew and Mary rest up without worrying about the corpses coming back to life.

And we need antibiotics stat. Andrew's fever is rising.)

I think I have the highest kill-count total right now. At least nine with five more possibles because of the first store.

Edit: Also, I agree that we should get the hell out of here ASAP.

Maybe it's Andrew's time to heroic sacrifice and create a distraction elsewhere to distract the zombies coming towards us? Also, if we're staying here, I can help clean the corpses.

Just to clarify, CSL and Ozzo, you can still give me actions because your characters are still not asleep yet. (They likely will be next turn though.)

So Mary will be searching for med supplies, Snark will treat Vide and then both of them will start cleaning corpses, and I still need directions from Oscar and CSL. I highly recommend that you join Mary in her search, but if you don't want to, that's fine with me.
