You know, there's actually a way around that. Factories tend to have a TON of tools and scraps, so they're great places to build traps and modify equipment. You might want to consider going there if you're planning to do a lot of modifying.

Also, Mary is decent at modifying, and you're decent at trapping as well. Maybe you just need to *gasp* work together as a team! :D

Sign me up too. I seem to be around in time for most of the action not due to my timezone, but to me being a night owl. Since it seems I'll be getting a kinda long, unexpected vacation, it seems like the perfect time to sign up for these things.

I don't mind waiting, though. It is pretty funeducative to watch the others suffersurvive.

I'm in Sweden time, whatever zone that is, but regularly stay up 'til midnight (5 AM if it's a weekend) so I don't think my actual timezone matters.

By the way, Ana, what are the stats of the default careers? Is it possible to revise them, or to make a FIrefighter2, for example?

They're fine for me, but it might be a lagging browser issue. Try opening a new window and see if that fixes it.

The images all work for me, and have since the beginning of the thread. I'd suggest doing a few control - F5's to clear the cache and refresh.

I have no idea what the stats of the default careers are, sorry! You can just make a custom occupation called Firefighter2 if you want though, but you'll have to come up with with stats for that from scratch.

Modding the existing careers directly will take C++ knowledge or something, I think, soooo yeah not something I can do.

I'm actually tempted to go all Dark Souls deprived, but as much as I'd like to be a good-for-nothing, it would probably fuck up my team. I'll just think of something I guess.

I HAVE HORRIBLE JUDGEMENT! Of course I want to chug around a dead body.

I am undecided on this. Should I transform it into a ridiculously over the top soap opera? Should I be a troll/deprived/sack of potatoes with zero career skills and lead us (or at least myself) to an early grave? Should I actually play like a half-sane person to counter Davian's beautifully deficient judgement and try to lead us to salvation?

It will all be decided on the next episodeour playthrough, and will probably depends on what the others say.

I am really tempted to just play a complete and utter idiot, but I probably wouldn't do that to everyone else. That I will probably in practice be a complete and utter idiot at the game is beside the point. All I learned here so far is that little girls can hurl wardrobes, that taking Andrew's painkillers was a bad idea and that generally speaking when all you have is hammer, singularis, it's a bad time to be an engineer.

Also that Decepticons have medics.

I got the game, by the way. It has taken over my life.

I did so well on this try.
I breached the university, hotel, and police station (plus a couple of random houses and a store) without anybody dying. I had loads of food, weapons and medicine everywhere. I had a list of possible locations for rescue, and a date. I had modified items that were really helpful, and people were getting along well. Bonuses were flying left and right. Things were looking up.
Then a group of armed men came and demanded I hand over a survivor and I said no and they SLAUGHTERED EVERYONE EXCEPT MY SURGEON.
He fled into a house. Killed all the zombies inside with his bare hands. Then, almost dead, he dragged himself back to the university to patch himself up. Desperate, since it was the day of the rescue, I sent him to a possible location. He died fighting. Goddamnit.

Yes, truly sage knowledge for surviving the zombie apocalypse.

Fucking hate the mobsters. So many good runs RUINED because I refuse to sacrifice a single player. This right here is why the last run was most probably doomed. If you can't get along in normal circumstances, what the hell do you think you're going to do when situations like that pop up?!

There are a number of "special events", or what the devs call "dilemmas" that will happen randomly under certain conditions. The whole Andrew painkiller fiasco was one of them, and the mob that Umazes mentioned is another. As for the rest, well, you'll just to have follow this LP to find out! (Or you could always buy the game. ;D)

I'm absolutely tempted, but I know myself well enough to know starting a new game while I have an LP I have promised myself to update daily, an exam paper, two oral exams on the horizon and the master's thesis after that, is not the best idea I could have in terms of free time. How hard is it to run, though? It doesn't seem very demanding, so I might toss it on a laptop and play it while away on vacation if possible.

I'm playing on my laptop (that can't ordinarily handle graphic-intensive games well), it runs very smoothly.
