The location is pretty much a dead end after the feast, right? I recommend we hold it in a house we have already searched fully.

I think it would be a waste of time to go back to the store, so let's do that instead? Since it doesn't look like such a big house, there may not even be that many corpses to clean. Hopefully.

Orr what DK says. My thinking was the complete opposite, that it would be a waste to stay at a place we've already searched fully. But then again we're in Roadkill mode, so we may want to take it easy.

Breach the house. I'll leave whether we fully search it up to Kaneda because Javert loves fuzzy kittens I'm rather indifferent on the subject. I can't remember how badly dangerous a feast makes the area, so... I'll go look it up.

A feast makes the area a terrible way to be I had actually kinda forgotten that *facepaw*. I say we search it thoroughly, have the feast and then bolt to... I don't know, maybe the house below our starting house will be okay. Or the store left of the church.

All right, so the final conclusion is this:

The four of you except Waffles breach the left corner house, cleanse it of corpses, search it thoroughly, then have the puppy bring over the large meal, have the feast there, and then bolt to whatever location you all decide on later. Sound good?

By the way, I'm about to hold the feast right now and it's hilarious how everybody's feasting a.k.a. partying skill is 5, except for Javert. Who has 1.

No problem! I thought about indexing my own LP but I'd be exhausted trying to pinpoint where the acts begin and end after so long, so I pay attention to this one to remind me of my inadequacy. It's a lifesaver looking up specific episodes, too.

And Javert's No Fun Zone is clearly in full effect XD. This game is amazing.

... Actually, looking at everyone, could it be his age? He's nearly twenty years Waffles' senior and 30 years the senior of everyone else. Maybe he just feels left out by all the newfangled lingo and monkey music.

Just skip the speculation and read orenronen's posts. You won't be missing much. Trust me. What I like to do is go to the first post with the index and open each update in a new tab, so I can just read the VN and ignore the chaff. The discussion can get reaaaally overbearing at times; a lot of it is people repeating theories over and over and just driving every single detail of the VN into the ground. The updates themselves, including the bonus material, are absolutely fantastic though.

Also, don't google anything about it. NOTHING. Don't even go on Youtube for it. You WILL be spoiled.

It's a visual novel; you've probably heard people mention it around here before. As for what it's about, let me quote:

It hasn't been translated into English, so the only way to read it is through this amazing completionist/informative Let's Play of it on Something Awful here. The LPer, orenronen, is translating every single line of dialogue as he goes, and we also get music links, videos, the works. It's one of my favourite visual novels of all time, and I'd highly recommend it to anybody who's remotely interested in murder mysteries/insanely great characters/high school kids trapped in a school and forced to kill each other to graduate.

I want to see him fail. REJECTED BY PARTIES.

The conversations are really fun though! but I usually only read like 50 pages stuff (the world ends with you, chrono trigger, phoenix wright) =[ I'll just read the updates when people start to get repetitive. I just want to say Monobear is loving awesome. Between him and Teddie (I just started P4 recently), I'm starting to appreciate unbearable jokes.

It's $35, I want to buyyyy. Q____Q I'll shh and go read lp.

EDIT: oh and I skimmed Legend of Wulin Heroes because that dedication to translating! among other things. I just have to mention the alcoholic kungfu master thread.

Javert does not do parties. It is not proper conduct for an officer of the Law doing his duty. This 'fun' sounds like some infernal, dreadful English invention. He will have none of it!

Operation Breach, Feast, and Run, START!

Zelda and her entourage proceed to occupy the corner house while Waffles guards the store like the good little doggie he is.



Lucky! The house is completely zombie-free! This is why I love breaching houses, especially early on in the game. There's always a decent chance that they're empty.



I send all four survivors out to patrol while waiting for Waffles to breach the corner house. Bad decision on my part; we're safe, but the zombies don't actually attack us since we outnumber them (at least I assume), so we have to spend the next few turns fending them off.

Eventually though, we manage to throw a wild, wild party! Even Javert joins in with his measly one partying star!



And then we immediately scram to the house south of our starting point.



...what is this madness? Link and Javert are... bonding?! Over their mutual hate of Zelda, no doubt.



Thanks to the feast (and the freshly minted Link-Javert bromance), our relationships are now all pretty and witty and green <3

That wasn't too bad for our first day, wasn't it? Nobody died and we all love each other now! For the most part, anyway.

We don't have a single clue or vehicle part though. Should probably get cracking on that soon. Even though there isn't a time limit, technically, remember that line from the opening page of the diary? What did it say again?

I suggest we now proceed with breaching nearby locations and search them. It would be done most efficiently if you all abstain from mutually directed violence, s'il vous plaît.

And yes, yes we can! In fact, rumours are available right now! I don't know if we NEED to right now though, since the relationships all look pretty decent to me at the moment. Remember that we have no time limit on this mode, so we might want to conserve rumours in case something bad happens later. I'll still do it if the majority wants it though.

I promise! Okay, this is actually OOC, but IN GENERAL I promise to stay in his absolutely horrible character. I think reading the book over the summer has, if possible, made my headcanon version of him into even more of a grouch.

Excellent point about the rumours. Maybe as long as Waffles can stop peeing on everybody's shoes, no more furniture will be thrown without artificial aid.

I'm going to be pretty busy with real life stuff for the next few days and my internet access is going to be sporadic at best. I'll still be on for now, but expect the rate of updating to drop sharply.

Any preference as to which buildings to breach and in which order? And would you like to do a full search or a one-hour search?

That's one of my favourite LPs too! I'm a huge wuxia fan so it was neat seeing something like that in game form. I might have to track it down to play one of these days.

The timing's pretty good, at least. Between Christmas and my birthday coming up, I won't have as much internet time myself, either. Less puppeterring, Javvie, aren't you happy? No, I can't tell as a matter of fact, do I have to remind you you suck at smiling?

Um, maybe an expanding radius concentrating on the smaller buildings? Unless we already searched them, of course. As for how long, I guess that depends on if the First Hour: Find Clue thing is still in place. Wouldn't want to forego finding one, after all.

And whenever idling at the house, traps. He can play whist on the drive, lazy bugger, because I doubt he can drive a car anyway.

That's still in place, but I think that vehicle parts, unlike clues and the map, aren't found in the first hour. Somebody else who's played road kill might want to confirm this for me.

It might be a good time to start on the buildings on the lower right. We could breach the store west of the church, then the store south of the church, then the house...

Or, since we have that pretty little shotgun, we could assault a big building. I'd like the opinions of the rest of the gang.

And we might as well search whatever we breach fully. It seems like the efficient thing to do.
