I'm not too worried about him being able to put that together, though. As a minimum he'd know about steam engines and since everything in his canon indciates he's of the Crazy Prepared variety whenever possible, he probably has a pretty good idea of how they work. I, um, hope.

also spotting scopes only enhance spotting skill (aka you watch zombies better), so modifying them won't let you improve shooting long distance. for that you need to modify [random firearm] for sniping, but unnecessary because you have rifles which have max or near max sniping stats i can't remember right now

I'm pretty embarrassed to say that the only thing I remember clearly about Les Mis is watching the guy from Iron Chef singing Do You Hear the People Sing

I love goofy facial hair as much as the next crazy history girl, but I'm kind of over sideburns. Maybe it's seeing photos of OBC Anthony from Sweeney Todd, and seeing how easy it is for sideburns to turn to the dark side. Philip Quast's will always have a special place in the facial-hair part of my heart, though.

Yes, and I really don't like them in a modern setting, but they add to the mood in a period piece. I guess a bit like how Javert is on a horse there and not in a Volkswagen, and is wearing the uniform of the time. Men HAD sideburns of varying degrees of ridiculousness when they reached a certain age, so it's a bit lazy to not toss them in there. But then it's not Philip Quast's sideburns regardless XD. I am terrible at getting over my affection for the first version I saw of anything. I'm actually happy they cast Crowe for the silliest of reasons he always looked like a younger, battered version of Quast to me.

Marius should look on the bright side! Enjolras might be prejudiced against the rich, but at least it's not the middle class! He directed a revolution, in fact, that was outrageously popular with wealthy young men.

And then when they died... Inspector, seeing any other old friends out there? ... Okay, 'friends' might be a strong word...

Actually... I think they're probably legit. I can't make much of the first line, but the second... see...

'prældom' looks like 'trældom', an old Danish word for SLAVERY. 'aldrei' is close to 'aldrig' meaning NEVER. 'meir' is very close to 'mere' meaning, in this context ANYMORE. Almost EVERY variation I understand of that line, like the German and Dutch and the English, too, talk about never being slaves again or not being slaves anymore. You cracked it!

(And this is how I parse any kind of language I don't understand a word of, I try to compare what I know when it makes sense)
