Let's Survive Zafehouse: Diaries!

Except for, you know, the painkiller's effect wearing off over time so we can't just use one painkiller and be done with that injury for the rest of the game. It's more REALISTIC, I suppose, but why would you go for realism in a game that features ZOMBIES? That said, there are a lot of great things about that patch and I'm excited to use it for the next run. :3

Seriously I had even been stockpiling gasoline once so had like TWELVE CANS ON HAND because I was about to light the building on fire anyways. ...I think this game just hates me.

I honestly have no idea, but I asked about it on the Zafehouse forum earlier because I was curious myself. Maybe this option only shows up in the bar? Because it's full of, you know, flammable liquids? I honestly don't know. Hopefully somebody will answer soon.

It would suck though, if it was your rescue point in classic mode. Now I'm imagining survivors jumping up and down in the flames, trying to attract the helicopter's attention before dying a horrible alcohol-fueled death. O_O

Because flaming brews make the ultimate S.O.S signal.

Plus, if your group is starving there is now plenty of flambéd mobster to go around. :D

You want to know what led to this atrocity?

Long story short, I breached the store west of the hospital (remember the one we fully trapped early on in the game), laughing maniacally as zombies killed themselves on the traps while my survivors cooked and feasted. I also found this thing called a "drill", which has 5 engineering stars, and like an idiot I thought, hey! That's going to help speed up the car-repairing process! Hope that my survivors don't be stupid and use it if it's too loud though (is a 3 quietness stat too loud?), don't wanna draw zombies to our location of course, haha.

GUESS WHAT HAPPENED NEXT.

Yeah. I put Link and Javert on wagon repair duty, since they have the best stats for it (2 stars *snort*), and one of them used the fricking drill. Cue zombies pouring on top of us and destroying our barricades.



We also have only 1 food ingredient left, by the way. Just so you know.



Welp. We made decent progress on the repairs, at least. Now all you need to do is survive long enough to finish it.

Let me know if there's a specific plan you have for dealing with this bullshit. If nobody votes, I'll just have to take this into my own hands. No biggie. :D

I see this drill is another truly horrific invention of your 'postmodern' madness. I will make sure it is arrested for its part in this fiasco. Now... maybe I should very quickly trap this location unless you intend to deal with this inconvenience via patrols and sniping. I suppose we have reasonable talents in this.

Um. I want to know the mastermind's opinion on this one. What do you think is the best course of action? From the looks of it I'd say snipe the hell out of everyone, bolt to the school as soon as we can get outta here, find food and set that building on fire.

Waffles has 4 sniping stars and Zelda 3. If we go with the sniping, maybe just use those two and have the others work on the car or traps and barricades?

Sniping takes way too long IMHO, so what I did was send all five people out on patrol and set them to attack zombies on sight.



I'd say it worked pretty well!
