You can modify some interesting things. Like a spiked machete.

Big deal, he found a dentist's drill. I guess that does point to remaining sentience in the zombies, all the same...

I- what. This game is so awesome.

Modify a machete for close combat (I was TRYING to get him to modify a spoon, but he wouldn't, damn it) and that's what you get.

Also no more interesting modifications, Soundwave and Starscream just got killed. Drat.

Zombies or actual unfriendly fire?

Soundwave was killed by zombies, Starscream was 'mysteriously' left behind after I set the bar on fire to avoid the mob.

why would you want to do that

Also, damn, all this makes me wish I modified more during my runs. I'm missing so many amazing modded weapons! Though it's really a pain, not being able to choose which item you want to modify... :<

Also I've been thinking- maybe someone should suggest the ability to CHOOSE what to modify as an option added by a future patch in Zafehouse? Because it would be so much more helpful. Starscream picked a drill over a machete to modify for close combat. Yeah.

Nah, I think what the creators are going for is some degree of autonomy on the part of the survivors. Even if it makes them utter morons sometimes. Maybe you could request it as a mod though?

I can understand that, it's just a personal thing because if I'm allowed to tell them to modify something, why can't I tell them what to modify? I could understand if it was like tinkering and just something that happened when they were idle, but if I'm already giving them explicit commands...

Yeah, I agree with you. It's weird to be able to command them to do SOME things, but not everything. It would make more sense to be able to choose what to modify, but not what to tinker.

Maybe another reason is that it would be harder to program? I don't know. In any case, you should totally go ask on the forums and see what they think about it :D

...or maybe I should go, since I already have an account there already...
