What you do is have two people outside attacking zombies, two people barricading and one keeping watch.
Heavily fortify a building without a zombie laying a finder on a barricade.

Yeah, too much work. Hit and run has worked pretty well for me so far, so I usually never need to barricade anything ever, but I'll keep that in mind if I ever need to fortify a building quickly, haha.

I only barricade when I know or think the building is where the helicopter is going to land.

Yeah, that's usually the only time I do it too, but at that point doing it slowly and quietly typically works well enough for me, since I still have my survivors go out to scavenge for food and stuff. I usually start out by trapping the entire place quickly, so even if zombies come my survivors can handle most combat situations fairly well.

Oh, it took you four (and a half) rounds to realize that? ;) Yeah, I'm choosing what you take, because in the early stages of the LP I said "let me know if you want to take anything specific with you" and basically only one person ever took advantage of that, so I just stopped asking. But yes, if you want to choose what to take with you, let me know. If you want to know your weight capacity, just ask and I'll tell you as well.

Well, it would just make this awkward to try and say to take this and that so I would prefer if you prioritized weapons, then food, then medical supplies and then tools.
