LP: Ichiro Shounen Kitan - this is why you shouldn't annoy spirits

Good to know it isn't too traumatising. |D;

As for that girl, who knows? She's definitely a spirit, though, as she kind of... vanished after talking to Ichiro. The possibility of her being Roof Girl/Tsukiko is pretty high! I guess we'll see. We only have four more Mysteries to go, after all.

I still can't get onto the roof, don't seem to have enough bones to help the skeletal model (he keeps saying different parts of his body hurt), and don't really want to go near the mirror, so let's check out the principal's office.



Fancy.

There's nothing in the locker, and I have a really bad feeling about the cabinet, as there seems to be something stuck in it. How about the bookcase?

The students brought a dog to me and begged me to look after it, crying. There wasn't anything else I could do, so I took it in.

'Having to listen to its yapping is such a pain'.

'I hate dogs, really hate them. How should I pick on it today?'

... Someone isn't a very nice person.


These students trying to suck up to me all remind me of the dog.

'Those conceited students, this dog which doesn't know how to do anything but wag its tail- they should all just disappear'.

... Who made this guy the principal? It was a bad idea. Just saying.


The dog bit me.

I'm guessing that 'there' is the cabinet, then. And I really didn't want to open it, too. What I was expecting, I have no idea.

The zombie dog appears from the darkness...

Err we should probably do something quick.

Kiyomaru said that its strong sense of smell is its weakness. The only thing we've picked up that sounds right so far is the perfume (why it was there in the first place remains a mystery, but I'm not complaining). Let's give it a shot!


The zombie dog growls deeply...

'Ichiro used the perfume!'


The perfume broke in front of the zombie dog's nose!

Did you just... throw the perfume at it, Ichiro? (I guess there isn't really another way to do it, but still).


The zombie dog is in agony!

... Man, I feel pretty bad for doing that.

Despite this, the zombie dog doesn't seem to disappear. I guess it would be too easy if it could be sealed just by having perfume thrown at it, huh. ; Checking the options screen reveals the option to run, though, so let's try that! I can't think of anything else we can do.


The zombie dog is writhing in pain...

'Ichiro ran away!'

And we automatically run out of the office. Great!

... What's not so great is that I think the dog is now chasing us, with accompanying barks.

... Aaand, Ichiro trips. That was quick.

As a side note, the dog moves really fast. I can't really see us outrunning it, so maybe we can try ducking into a room?

I take a different route to the principal's office this time. On my way through the first floor, someone suddenly screams, and blood spatters against the wall outside a few seconds later:

Anyway, the dog! We go through the 'battle' again, and this time try to go to the infirmary.

Ichiro stop tripping. (Not that I blame you).

The bathrooms don't have doors, you can't lock the bathrooms.

... Which means that the dog can chase us in here too, but let's just try to head for a stall or something.



... Oh, hey. This is the bathroom which has no mirror/causes it to lead to another dimension if you hang one on the wall.

... Worth a try, right?

Mirrors really creep me out (especially the idea that they lead to another dimension), but disregarding that, here goes.



The mirror and the room start... changing colour. Was not expecting a disco. And we're not immediately sucked in!

Not that that matters right now, as the dog comes racing in almost immediately after.

Err I don't really want to be in front of the mirror for any longer than necessary. Leap aside!

It's happy, but I can't say the same for Ichiro. :'D I'm sure it would be nice otherwise, though! Innards and the like aside.

Call from Tooko! And this time it isn't some creepy imposter.

Tooko: Ah, Ichiro...!

Tooko. What is it?

You know, I was ok with most everything so far, but that principal really go tunder my skin. That dog was cute and the children wanted to help it. And he wanted to murder all of them. That one really bugs me.

Oh well. At this moment in time all we can focus on is survival. Another spirit sealed.

And I don't blame Tooko. I've got a bad feeling about Occult boy. I'm hoping I'm wrong but... Let's just keep 'has to pee' close to us for now. xD IchiroxTooko=OTP. Tinkleshipping. Oh god, that's probably already a thing.

I would have recommended we threw a bone to him but I think we're going to need all the bones we find.

And thus begins an epic, Corpse Party-style quest to find a working toilet.

DAMN IT, YUKA. As of last time I checked the thread, she STILL hasn't peed. Let's hope Tooko has better luck.

How did Yuka not pee her pants with the one-eyed girl came for her in the forest? Seriously, I think I would have wet mine the moment I woke up in that hellish school.

Oh man, I hope Tooko has better luck than Yuka. :'D She hasn't managed to find a bathroom for how long now?

Thankfully, this school is considerably smaller than the one in Corpse Party, and the toilets still seem useable (the one full of blood aside), so it should be fine on that front at least. I think.

And so begins the quest to find a toilet!

Thankfully, it seems to be okay. Looks like Tooko won't get separated from Ichiro and subsequently have to accompany a psychopath around the building in order to find a working toilet.

Have I mentioned to you I'm enjoying the crap out of this LP? Seriously, I log in with pins and needles of excitement for updates. And it loads on my compy properly so I can actually keep up with it without devoting a whole night to loading a few posts worth of pics like other LPs.

I can't wait to see what happens with Tooko and the pee situation! Thanks for playing Shirato, this is so much fun!

A quick sweep around areas we've been in the school doesn't reveal any sign of Tooko. Then again, there is one place we haven't properly visited yet...

I DON'T GET THIS. If I were in this horror house, I think I'd DEMAND my trusted BFF/love to come in with me, at least as far as the stalls. I'd want to be able to see their feet and be in constant verbal contact. Modesty isn't worth locker-death, and that's coming from the lips of a self-conscious never-nude.

..Is Tooko really that genre-savy, or is this the real Tooko? I'm a bit concerned about this, plus 'oh and the door's open and everything's ok!' Seems too easy.

Oh lord. This. As much as I'd like to send Ichiro home with Tooko hot damn I've been getting bad bad bad feelings since we found her. The ghost thing helped us before, we haven't finished the last mystery and everything's still uber creepy... Something's so very wrong.

A lot of stock Japanese folktale monsters are women with long hair straggling around. According to one of my old professors, it's because way back when, women who had long hair would either put it up so it didn't get in the way while they worked (if they were peasants) or they'd put it up in elegant fancy hairstyles (if they were nobility). A woman with her hair down was generally a sign that something was very wrong - usually used to imply that she'd been sexually assaulted and/or murdered, or that she was some kind of creature that didn't obey the unspoken rules of society like keeping your hair up and not eating people.

Edit: Whoops thought that was the last page for some reason. Uh. Oh well it's still semi-relevant.

Now that I have caught up, there's no way that's the real Tooko, is there? It wouldn't be a horror game without last-minute shenanigans and people jumping off the roof.

Thanks for the information! :D That makes a lot of sense. Does that tie into long hair in general (that is, hair no longer attached to people's heads) being a horror staple? It seems like that comes up sometimes, too (long hair tying things up and the like). I seem to recall that it's showed up in Corpse Party once or twice.

I think I'd be too nervous to go to the bathroom alone, yeah. ; Or anywhere, really. You never know when you're going to get spirited away to get eaten by a locker. (Even if he couldn't have done anything about it, Ichiro would probably have noticed sooner if he'd been in the bathroom with her, yeah).

Sometimes it's the joke weapons that are the strongest! (It does actually look like you could attack someone with a shoulder blade, too...).

I'd like to see the going home end, just out of curiousity.
