Just idly curious how people with OSX interact with it.

I have a 27" Imac with a second monitor, most of day to day use is with an MS mouse that I've had for years. I got the mac with the track pad and I do use it for a few things, mainly Apple software like aperture where it seems to work much better. The Mrs has a macbook pro and seems far happier with the trackpad as a primary device but I find the large screen lends itself to a traditional mouse and interaction across that size screen feels more natural.

I dare say with tweaking I might be able to break my dependence on two separate devices but I'd be interested to know if I'm alone in hanging onto my Mouse when using OSX.

I have an old Razer Diamondback and an Apple Magic Trackpad plugged in to my old 24" iMac. I find I use both. The trackpad with the gestures works great for web browsing and scrolling, but when I fire up Crusader Kings 2, it really wants me to click a little buttons lot, and that's tiring on the trackpad.

I have an MBP and I use the trackpad 99% of the time, but there are some cases where I do break out a Bluetooth mouse. Mainly for gaming, where the mouse feels more natural for that (though I don't do a lot of it on the laptop), and when using Windows VMs, where there's going to be a lot more right-clicking.

Magic Mouse can kiss my ass. My parents decked themselves out with Apple gear and that mouse's laser stopped tracking just a couple days after the 1 year warranty. $70 down the drain and no way to fix it, screw that piece of crap.

Apple can't make mice for shit. Every MacBook I've gotten has been the best computer I've ever owned, and every Apple mouse I've gotten has been the worst input device I've ever owned.

I've been using a Logitech corded mouse (and recently "upgraded" to the "Optical Gaming Mouse") for the last three desktop Macs I've owned. Since the upgrade to Mountain Lion, and since I've been using the laptop more often, I got a Trackpad. Like HalibutBarn, I use the trackpad for almost all of the desktop stuff, and the mouse for either gaming or anything that requires precision, like Photoshop.
