Machinations of Light's Glory - signup, rules, chat

I've just finished rereading the original Citadel game, and I thought I might lay down how I plan to approach players going inactive.

If a player quits or disappears and doesn't seem to be coming back, I will remove them from the game. No need to sacrifice them. If they were Evil or some other key role and I think it's going to seriously mess up the balance, I may retcon someone as a Sleeper Agent to take their place.

I'm not expecting it to be a problem, though. The Ruins game had a pretty excellent participation level from almost everyone involved.

If more than 25 people sign up, maybe you could recruit them as reserves so they can step in to replace someone who's gone inactive?

The Ruins game also picked up quite a few enthusiastic observers through being placed in a busy forum, which wouldn't happen if it was shut away in the Game Players' grave.

Yeah, we can definitely do that if someone has to leave early on.

Sign me up, chief.

So without exploration, how does one go about acquiring items?

By either starting with one, or being given one.

Profile changed. Well, this profile picture is kinda lame due to the limitations of profile pictures (the picture itself is awesome), I'll keep looking for a good picture of Gambit.

Names in brackets are newcomers. I said I'd give priority to anyone who played in the last game.
Not totally sure how willing I am to actually tell someone they can't play, though...

I could just shunt you over into the red school, if that's easier.

Edit: Thinking about it, that would have been a much better way of doing things. Let everyone pick avatars, then quietly assign people to schools that match their avatars where possible.

I've decided on metalhead, barring anyone else actually following through on my photoshop request.

Still obsessively looking over and tweaking and retweaking my rules. Having figured out how to remove a potential unwinnable situation for one side, I now have a fear it's going to end up wildly unbalanced in their favour, and I'm not sure how to fix that now.

I may have missed it, but what does the parentheses around some people's names in the assigned schools mean? And why does the Dove school have two people with that while the others only have one?
