I'm pretty interested in Rizzen after all you've said about him. I don't know if he pushes my "romance" buttons, really, but he seems unusual for an RPG romance route, and I like that in theory.

Honestly, from what I've seen thus far, Pia seems like the best bet in the balance between "boring" and "eugh rapey".

Can we be forever alone? No? Well, then I don't really know.

This is honestly the first time I don't like any of the potential romances. I don't even have a "let's take the worst for the lolz".

Edit: I was going to say "let's go for the worst anyway" and then vote for Vico, but I really don't want to do that. So I'm going to throw my vote at Rizzen. Because slavery is bad enough, but not as bad as Vico.

Riona is a strong independent woman who needs nobody because holy shit.

If I was in Riona's position I'd basically inherently distrust anything with a dick, to be sure.

I'm swinging between Pia because Pia seems cool or at least the least uncoolest (and since she does look the other way and let you pass Lesson Four if you confess that you've had really bad experiences and don't wanna sleep with anyone ever again) and Vico because he's dreadful and inflicting dreadful romances on people is what this forum is all about.

Also, from all that I've heard Vico's romance is the most developed, the longest, and the one that the creator of the module pretty much based the whole romance mechanic around. If this is going to be a comprehensive LP, then I think Vico's gonna have to be the choice.

I don't want Vico, but his route is really developed and he has something to say about everything as opposed to the other guys that are kinda in the background, so it's a compelling case.

Vico hits so many of my "Do not want"-buttons that I can't vote for him even though his romance arc is apparently the most interesting one. So I guess I'm voting for either staying single or ANYONE BUT VICO.

I was honestly expecting more votes for Pia for precisely this reason.

Well, Anden has the dog in his shot, so he's out. Rizzen's romance sounds like it would probably annoy me. Pia's out since anytime a woman fills the role of "damsel in distress" more than once I almost automatically dislike her. Bran sounds interesting, so I'll toss a vote his way, even if he won't win. And Vico... like I said, I'm curious about how terrible his route really is. But my vote went to Bran, so I'll just wait and see.

I don't think so. Just that she gets over it a bit quickly, especially considering her own history with Vico.

The fact that Vico's romance is the only one that you can break off Pia's for in-game leads me to believe that romancing Pia first is the default (in the same way that Vico is the default love interest).

To make everyone happy, if you guys insist on me romancing Vico and not killing him, I will try to make a non-canon update showing what happens if you do kill him. (This may involve me going back into old savegame files so I don't have to play through a bunch of Part 2 twice.)

I vote for killing Vico as soon as possible and romancing Bran because he sounds nice. Good guy, supportive, and he brings along another fighter? I'm not sure you can get much better than that in this game.

Personally, I vote for anyone but Vico. Even if I'm kind of curious about how horrid his romance will be, I'm much more curious about how we can kill him. Since Pia seems to be in second place as far as I can tell, I vote for her. She seems pretty nice and, actually, the way you've chosen some of the dialogue for Riona so far seems to have things heading in that direction with her anyway. It makes much more sense than romancing Vico, at the very least.

lol, no she doesn't. You just get the option of drinking so much wine that you can't remember the sex scene (and therefore don't have to see it).

I'm actually still pretty bitter about lesson 4. That was the point when I just didn't want to be hit on or leered at or anything because it made me feel gross and stressed. And then I got to lesson 4 which I was told was a strict seduction and no more, and then I was abandoned and forced into sex that I did not want. So yeah, it doesn't quite fly with me to paint Pia as the nice consensual option when she coerces you into sex when you first meet her (and replies to your distress with, "but I had a really good time, didn't you?", essentially.)

There's a conversation with Master Nathan about Lesson Four that I didn't post because I caught it too late to make sense in the story.

But esentially, you can be all like, "Hey, this whole Pia thing was kind of uncool," and his response is basically, "You had to learn this, and it was either with Pia or with a dude, so we thought this was best." There's an implication that Pia didn't have much of a choice in the matter, either.

I mean, I don't want to discount how Lesson Four is really sexual assault, but there's a reason I'm comfortable with the Pia romance and not with the Vico romance. Vico rapes you because he's angry and you happen to be there as a focal point for his anger; Pia does it because she genuinely believes that she's helping you. It's the situation that's screwed up in her case, not the character.

...Well, that makes me like Pia a whole lot less, and that's what I deserve for getting all my info on this game second hand. VICO IT IS.

Edit: And knowing that other thing now makes me like her again. The moral of this game is "everything is fucked up and nothing doesn't hurt"

I'm curious about Vico's romance, too, so if it happens, I won't be upset, but considering how the game has killed virtually every other good guy off, leaving nothing but Vico, it just makes me wanna say, 'HA, GAME. HA."

Well, let me rephrase that. Bran is...Bran is the most goddamn vanilla love interest. He is boring as bran do you get his name now.
