I'm sorry to bring the focus back to Vico, but you see, I googled him as a character and the ADWR wiki described him as a character that you "hate to love, or love to hate". I dunno if that wiki is official or not, and I also dunno if that'd make it better or worse.

I kinda like Pia, as far as I've seen, but I wouldn't romance under normal circumstances, in a normal universe in which most men aren't scumbags. In this one, though, she seems like the best option so far.

Ah, and thank you for the suggestion. If there is a godmode cheat, I can just pop that one and curbstomp the spiders without looking, that's fine too.

Also, I feel really wrong for saying this... but I almost wish for more raunchy scenes, if only to see what hilarious censorship will you come up with. May I suggest food associated to the part it's censoring?

I guess the internet has made me too faded to these things, in fiction at least.

I love how the game will continue to reference your age every once in a while depending on what you chose when WHOEVER asked you what your age is. For instance, there's a situation WAAAY down the road in part two where you essentially have the choice to have sex to get away with something. I CHOOOOOOSE TO DO IT NO REGRETS. And so afterwards, this dude is like "what am I going to do with you...? barely an adult..." (I made Aria 18 because if she's 21, she's my age and that makes her a self-insert and i don't know how to PLAY older and 16 makes her UNDERAGED and- )

I dunno, I found that little detail really cool. :T

18 is the default age when you create a human character, so that might be what the game is responding to regardless of your response to that question. I'll have to check what happens if you lie about your age.

Pia's problem is that bard AI sucks. (Actually all companion AI sucks, which makes fights even more frustrating.) I have Tony K's AI mod installed, and while it fixed some of the worse problems I was having (like Anden standing there like he has no idea what to do when you give him a melee weapon), it doesn't do much for Pia's spellcasting ability.

Also that spoiler is hilarious out of context.

I hope I can live up to your expectations! I don't know about raunchiness, specifically, but there are a couple of sequences as the game goes on where you are stripped of all your equipment and have to spend a long-ass time stealthing around in the nude. That might be tedious to censor.

The way I see it, the board is already NC-17.
As long as you give a warning, I think it's okay to leave the female nudity alone. It's nothing gratuitous anyway. Or put it under spoilers.

I'd say OK if it was just one or two instances, but posting tons of nude screenshots in a row just makes me feel weird. I'll think about it.

Tony's house is in southern Betancuria, near the entrance to the sewers that Stan guards.



The butler takes me upstairs to see Tony. The house is extravagant; the largest room even has a pool in the middle of it. I guess there's a lot of money to be made in smuggling.

"Ah, Riona. I'm glad you're here."



He introduces the other man as Will, his right-hand man.



"And there's not a single woman in the whole kingdom who could compete with her beauty."

I blush.



"But... I don't even know you..."

"Get to know me. It's not an offer I make lightly, Riona. But I think you are one of those very rare women who are worth it."

"And what would you expect from me?"

"That you are at my side. I won't interfere with your training, however, and you'll be free to come and go as you please, of course. You'll sleep in my room, but I'll give you all the time you need so you get to know me better. I'll leave things up to you to decide when you're ready for what."

It's a strange offer, but my instincts tell me he's sincere. I accept.

"You won't be disappointed, beautiful lady." He leans forward and places a gentle kiss upon my cheek.

Tony gets word that one of his ships has docked, and quickly excuses himself.





"Does he often bring women home with him?"

"Well... It's been a while. Master Blake has been very busy during the last couple of months."

Betta draws me a bath. I remember when I was at the palace, and I had servants to wash me... This is the most relaxed I've felt in a long time.

Once I'm dried off, Betta applies scented oil to my skin and helps me into a long, fluffy, pink bathrobe.

It's not long before Tony arrives.



"Hello there, beautiful lady. Feel like doing a little shopping? Gaston is already here, waiting in the lobby."



I try on everything Gaston brought.



This scene is so drawn out it becomes hilarious.



Summary: Gaston's assistant tells you how gorgeous you are and puts a dress on you.



Then the game takes you to the next room to show off to Tony by doing a pirouette (or the choppy best the game can manage).



Tony goes on about how awesome your tits/ass/tits and ass look in that dress.



Repeat five more times with different dresses. I am not kidding.



"Ohhh, that'd be nice!" I beam a smile at him.



"I can't wait to see you wearing all these fine clothings." He looks down at me. "Are you getting hungry, beautiful? I think I'll have Timo make us something to eat."

That scene was agony. For some reason I really didn't like being made to play the sexy bimbo mistress.

Also, the one decent-looking dress was the one he didn't like! >:|

I change into one of my new dresses while Tony has his butler, Timo, prepare dinner.







Tony gives the servants the rest of the night off, and then we're alone.



"His food's delicious."

"I was wondering if you knew him."

"Uhm... Why should I?"

"Nathan told me that you had been a castle resident as well, beautiful." Tony sips his wine. "Don't worry. I won't pry."

"You know who I am, don't you?"

He gazes at me for a couple of moments. "I truly do not think I have ever seen anybody who might even get close to you in terms of beauty, Riona."

That didn't answer my question. I'm not sure if he knows, or doesn't want to know.

Tony tells me about his work. His father used to be a drug smuggler in Sargoza.



"He died six years ago. There were riots in the streets almost every day, and one morning some thug shot an arrow in his back when he left the house."

"Do you miss your father?"

Tony shrugs. "He taught me many things. But he's been gone for a while now."

I think of my father, and my mother, and I can't imagine not missing them. But it was only a short while ago. Maybe these things go away with time.

"Nathan tells me he wants you to work for the Family?"

I nod, and tell him about my lessons.

"What did you plan to do once you had passed your lessons?"

"Kill as many Dhorn as possible."



"But...?"

"There's no But. Nathan knows that I've taken you in. Wasn't all that happy, but he said it was your decision."

We talk a bit about the people I've met in the kitchens -- Chella, Caron, and the others. Suddenly Tony looks serious.

"I meant what I said, beautiful. I'm going to give you a new home, and all the freedom you want. Just no other guys. Okay?"

"Why are you offering me all this?"

"Because I think that you're a very, very special young lady. The one I'd like to have at my side in my life."

"I know so little about you."

"That's why I want you to stay close to me. So you do get to know me."



He stands, reaching out for my hand. "Are you coming?"

I follow him into the bedroom. Tony strips naked and lies down on the bed. I lay down on the other side, still in my underwear. Tony's been nice so far, but I can't help feeling nervous.



I guess the engine can't animate actually lying on a bed, because whenever someone goes to sleep in this game they just strip naked, flop face-first as if dead, and awkwardly clip through the floor.

He inches closer, placing a kiss upon my shoulder while his fingers trail down my arm. "I thought the guys were talking crap when they spoke of you. They said Nathan had this girl who was so pretty she could make a guy swoon just by being in the same room. I mean, how fucking lame does that sound? You'd think those guys had seen their share of women. But they spoke as if you were a freaking angel. I'm aching to touch you, but I'd never see you hurt."

I don't know what to do. His touches feel so nice, but... I panic a little bit.

"Tony! Let go!"

Just as sudden as he kissed me, he lets me go again, moving back to his side. "Sleep well, beautiful lady." He blows off the light, then stretches out, a safe distance away from me.

For a while I just lie there, not knowing what to think.





I shift, staring at the darkness, wondering whether I'll be able to find any sleep at night.

"I'll tell you tomorrow whether you snore or not, okay?" Tony's voice carries an amused tone, but I almost jump when I hear him speaking.

"I do NOT snore!"

"I was just kidding. Sleep well, beautiful."

I really like the long dark blue one. The short dresses clip through capes, and you know how I feel about capes.

The long dark blue one was my absolute favourite, but Tony said he didn't like it. :(

So I threw a tantrum and made him buy it for me. And then I felt gross. It think it was the little feminist in my head throwing a shitfit.

Also, my character had sort of the same hairstyle as yours (cut at the jaw), but it was gold. I named her Cersei Stormborn, because I'd heard the game was sort of Game of Thrones-esque.

I don't get it. Why is it that the bathrobe covers the most of your character's skin in this game than anything else so far? And it's not transparent, either. >_<

Stormborn is the last name of the module's default character, so I just copied that.

This hairstyle is one of the few hair/face combos I really like.

The metagame explanation is that it's a recolored version of the pre-existing monk robe outfit.

Also it looks really, really comfy, which it wouldn't if it were skimpy.

Oh same here. I didn't want to give her the exact same name of Cersei Lannister, since that'd feel a bit weird.

I guess it's just that, compared to everything else she's worn (or not worn) in this game, seeing something that completely covers her from head to toe is a bit of an anomaly. Did I spell that right? Argh.

That is one of the milder sketchy responses when it comes to Tony's subplot.

I hope not. Even though he's a little a lot okay, pretty darn creepy, he's like the only other guy within an acceptable age range who isn't a total dirtbag aside from Caron.

FATAL is a great game to run when you hate your D&D group. "Hey guys, have you ever heard of FATAL? No? Fantastic! I hope you like anal circumference rolls."

I can't believe it took six pages for someone to bring up FATAL.

It's kind of like watching Daniel Tosh; if you've got a lot of patience and approach it as a dark comedy, it can be fun. If you play it as the creators intended, your brain will drip out of your ears in the world's messiest harakiri. Your soul will follow suit.

Make sure that, if you do, you're playing with a bunch of poor clueless bastards. It's even funnier that way. Oh, and play a drinking game. The only thing better than attempting to target an enemy's right testicle specifically is doing it while drunk.

The bar is set incredibly low for me given that apparently the flagship love interest is Vico. So mostly I'm glad that Tony is enough of a gentleman to back the fuck off when requested. He has money, he will use it to pamper women and buy them gifts in order to start up a relationship, and he's pretty up front about what he wants out of the relationship (loyalty, eventually sex but he's not pushing), if not... whatever else he's plotting.

I like Carson and all, and Pia was okay, but will they buy Riona dinner first? I don't think so.

Let me tell you about post-relationship Vico. It's not even a spoiler because I do not expect anyone with a hint of sense to willingly go for him.

He becomes this weird sex fiend that will ask for it in the most inappropriate of places. And all of your teammates are like "EUGH HOW COULD YOU DO HIM AFTER WHAT HE DID" and basically the whole route is "FUCK YOU, DAD, I DO WHAT I WANT" and it's just so terrible. He's...nicer? More humane. But I mean...at what cost?

Your soul and sanity from what I've heard so far. Have I got it right?

I feel like I have to play through the whole Vico route just once, just to see if canon actually has ANY SEMBLANCE of what people see in him.

I won't subject y'all to that here, though.
