...focusing particularly on his chief technologist.

Really wish the NDP up in Canada could get this kind of tech/mind/ground-game jump on the competition. God knows they could use that kind of hidden ground-game edge, given what the 3-way air war is likely to look like in 2015.

Really interesting, I like the story about the 'wargames' they played to prepare for disaster. It reminds me of my own job and how we've concluded that we're theoretically able to switch to our secondary data center and resume operations within 15 minutes, but we have no idea whether we really are.

But those guys are really the ultimate hipsters going even so far as celebrating meme culture. The way media nowadays try to create an image of (money making) geeks as the new rock stars bugs the hell out of me and these guys seem exemplary of that.

This is how you can tell that I'm an engineer and not a technologist. The ability to use good grammar is inversely proportional to the amount of engineering or science training one has.

I've always found the best programmers have an excellent grasp of grammar.

Not in my experience, but then I work with a lot of English-as-a-second-language developers.

I just wish I knew more programmers who had an excellent grasp of programming.
