And with that, he escapes out the door. Jan yells at him to wait and hurries after him.

Roberto: "Did he hurt his pride a little?"

Wilfred: "Looks like..."

Eh, it's good for him.



Edward: "I wonder if it has anything to do with Miss Amaya?"

Amaya: "Huh? With me?"

Roberto: "That is a possibility."

Leonardo cuts in.


Wait, that pause before "favorite"...

OH MY GOD, HE'S ASKING IF JOSH IS SLEEPING WITH HER!



The other three exchange glances.

Amaya: (Favorite...?)

It's okay, sweetie. Don't worry about it.

Roberto grins.

Roberto: "You're half right."

WHUT

Leonardo: "Huh?"

Amaya: (What...?)

Roberto: "She's not just a favorite of Prince Joshua's, but us as well. Right Edward? Wilfred?"

Aaaand he makes it sound like she's sleeping with all of them. Thanks for that, Roberto. Truly.

The other two nod.

Edward: "She has a positive influence on us, and I am sure it is the same for Prince Joshua."

Leonardo: "Influence..."

Amaya: (Huh...? What is he...?)

She shivers as she stares at Leonardo's face.

Later that day, Josh has taken Leonardo and Amaya to the boarding school where the royalty and nobility of Dres Van send their children.



Leonardo is looking around curiously.

Leonardo: "So this is what it looks like on the inside."

Joshua: "You've been here before though?

Leonardo: "You're thinking of the central university."

Joshua: "Oh, that's right."

Leonardo: "So this is where you went to school. It seems like a good place to learn."

JOSH DOESN'T KNOW WHAT SLEET IS. Or how to social. Yeah, it's a great school. *snerk*

Amaya: (I had known that Prince Joshua must have gone to school like the rest of us, but it's still a bit strange seeing it like this.)

An elderly man approaches them and Jan apologizes for the intrusion. The man smiles at them.



Amaya: (He calls him Joshua?)

Amaya and Jan are a bit confused, but Josh responds cheerfully and shakes his hand.

Joshua: "It is good to see you, sir!"

Who are you, and what have you done with Josh?

Amaya: (Is he his teacher...?)

Teacher: "Hahaha, you've gotten so big!"

Joshua: "Please..."

The man glances over at Leonardo and a strange look crosses his face.

Teacher: "Aren't you Nerwan's...?"

Leonardo bows.

Leonardo: "I am Leonardo, prince of Nerwan Kingdom. It is a pleasure to meet you."

Teacher: "You are too kind. I see, so you are having these kind of exchanges between the two kingdoms now we have a peace treaty?"

Joshua: "Now? We've been meeting like this for a while, right Prince Leonardo?"

Leonardo: "Yes. I think we have started to depend on one another a bit too much."



Amaya: (What is it, this feeling...? They seem to be having fun together...so why do I suddenly feel anxious?)

It's just impending doom.

DOOOOOOOOOOM!

Teacher: "Things that seem to be a while ago for a young pair like yourselves seem like just yesterday to me."

The teacher laughs and turns back to Josh.

Teacher: "You seem to have mellowed a bit, Joshua."

He looks surprised.

Joshua: "I have?"

Teacher: "You used to anger so easily... It was hard to deal with you."

Joshua: "That was never my intention..."



Amaya feels herself go all warm and fuzzy. (No, really.)

Teacher: "I guess time has rubbed your corners off a bit."

While Josh is busy being embarrassed, Leonardo oozes his way over to Amaya and whispers in her ear.



Amaya: "Huh?"

Leonardo: "Is that this positive influence you have on people that the others told me about?"

Amaya: "Of course not..."

I'm not sure what my feels are doing during these updates. At first, I was "YAY, ROBERTO IS RUNNING INTERFERENCE :D" Then, it was "... FUCK. Roberto, why did you give him our name! Now he can threaten us with his Death Note! >:C" And the whole time, I've been pretty sure that Leo is a creeper, who probably things we're a lady of the night.

I live in Canada so though hail isn't common, it's not an unusual thing. If he comes from a country where that kind of weather is practically non-existent, I'm not surprised he hasn't heard of it.

I don't think Josh is trying to pull off anything.

I mean, he's going about wooing Amaya completely wrong, yes, and I am legitimately bothered by it as well, but I think that might partially be due to him just. Not understand what the fuck he's feeling. Nor how to act on them or, well, what to do with himself. He likes having Amaya around but that concept is completely foreign to him so he figures "OH, must be because I like her food. Yes. She should stay here and make me some more." And then he can't really... Get about having her come back properly. And the abduction thing is creepy, yes. But considering the fact he's completely at a lost to how to socialize for the most part, I understand, to a certain extent, how his logic came about here.

Honestly, I'm more pissed off with him not having had any real basis to realize that no, doing things like this is bad. You don't do that even if you're the damn prince, Joshua. You have responsibilities as a prince (that the training probably fucked you up to an extent, all things considered) and an image to maintain. Amaya might be a breath of fresh air, finally an escape from all that, a safe zone, if you will, but if she says no, back off. Or, you know, ask before doing anything. Although I'm assuming you've never had to do much of that, what with being a prince, eh? What, did people he spoke to just give him whatever he wanted when he asked since he was a kid? Did no one set up boundaries? I know he was disciplined, but I don't think he got the kind he needed, which was learning limits and how everyone has different ones. Frankly, as bothered as I was by the abduction scene, Jan really got to me, too. I mean, seriously, sir, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING NOT SAYING ANYTHING BACK AMAYA UP HERE YOU MORON! *HEADDESK*

I realize this may sound like I'm justifying Josh's behaviour, but that's not what I'm trying to do. I'm just trying to explain what I interpret from the scene, mostly due to having interacted with people that had similar dispositions as Joshua, albeit considerably better self-restraint in terms of spontaneous visits and subsequent actions. Josh, really, why did you think forcing Amaya to come with you would be a good idea? I get you missed her, I get you wanted to see her again, but what I DON'T understand is the severe lack of foresight to the potential consequences and possible strain to your relationship with her. As a future ruler, this is really, really bad.

Also, friendzoning oneself does not sound as great as you'd think. Believe me, talking from personal experience, here. Which is why I'm kind of apprehensive about Roberto's route because haaaa...

My feeling is that Josh should have been educated on weather, simply because in his duties as prince (and later king) he may HAVE to travel to other countries in the winter and should be prepared for climates different than his own.

For those of you living in lands of perpetual summer, sleet is tiny pellets of frozen rain (different from freezing rain - freezing rain falls as a liquid and THEN freezes, coating everything in ice - sleet falls already frozen. It's also different from snow because it's not crystallized; it's solid ice.). Sleet usually happens only during weather below freezing. Hail, I've actually seen more of during the summer when we get especially bad thunderstorms. It's larger balls of ice, usually small coin to golf ball sized, but can be baseball sized or even larger (extremely rare). It can cause a lot of damage.

Which is not to say that freezing rain doesn't fave it's own horrible merits. Case in point, one night of freezing rain knocked out power to most of New England, destroyed massive amounts of plant life, and left some without heating for weeks.
It was awfully pretty, though.

On the topic of snow and weather; growing up in North-western Ohio, I was used to having to wait in 3 ft. of snow for my bus to school at 6 something in the morning and only getting it cancled if it was 4 ft. or higher with ice on the roads, snowdrifts, and the temp. was in the negatives, all via Lake-effect. Now that I'm currently staying tempoarily in Northern Texas, I almost have to stop myself from looking at people funny when they saw they can't drive in snow or not laugh when they say they don't know how to deal with it, since learning to drive in snow (Driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow!)and how to deal with it is practically required for living farther north. But there are extreamly few times that it does snow this far south, two I know of, one I had actually been here for (which made me realize how much I sort of missed it), while the other happened a year earlier.
Everyone thinks we're crazy down here, but hey, this is what's considered a normal 1 week weather forcast for us:
Monday: 30 degrees
Tuesday: 70 degrees
Wednesday: 45 degrees and humid (45 degree weather is justification enough to stop through the car wash!)
Thursday: -10 wind chill
Friday: 80 degrees and sunny
We freeze our butts off walking around The Toledo Zoo at 10 degrees because we want to see Christmas lights and we wear shorts the first day of the year it isn't below zero and snowing… just because we can. So, if you don't like the weather right now, stick around! It'll change within the hour.

That's beautiful. Where I live, we have all of those things, summers in the 100 F (38 C) range, winters are all over the place. It has been -20F (-28 C) in winter here, and I didn't like that at all. Of course, where I lived before this once got up to 122F (50C), and I wasn't very happy about that either. It usually was around 113F (45C). Where I live now at least has seasons, but we get our hailstorms in the summer months. They can cause a lot of damage.

All this talk about freezing temperatures, sleet, and hail makes me glad that I live in a state of perpetual warmth. I literally cannot go outside wearing less than a sweater if it's under 70 degrees F.

And as I said, we in my home will walk around in shorts and tees the second it hits 45F and sunny.

It's fun compairing this sort of thing XD we get to see how one may react to wheather they don't get, yet others live in it.

Southern Californian here so we have people walking around in short shorts and transparent tights even now. We had snow once at the top of a mountain... Winter weather consists of around 35 degrees fahrenheit mornings, 59-72 daytimes, and 40-something evenings and rain.
