No such thing as too many Princes - Let's Play Be My Princess

Right now I have endless contempt for Joshua.

I'm going to engage in a little voter manipulation here and call the vote now. I'm pretty sure this is a key decision, and I'm afraid what will happen if I don't. (Plus, Josh get sad if you suddenly turn all meek on him.)

Amaya: "You always say that..."



Joshua: "You don't seem happy about that."

Amaya: (What is it...? He seems so...happy?)

Amaya: "Excuse me for saying so, Your Highness, but I was ordered downstairs in the middle of the night and not given any reason as to why I had to do so...I would be lying if I said I was happy about it."

Josh looks satisfied and nods.

Joshua: "I see. You really are the most interesting person."



Amaya: (Oh...?)

Joshua: "There aren't many people who share their opinions with me, even within the royal family."

He reaches a hand towards her.

Amaya: (What? Oh... Prince Joshua is touching my head...)

Her heart starts to race.

Amaya: "That may be true, but..."

Josh strokes her hair gently, and Amaya speaks a little softer.

Amaya: "I think you should be able to say what you are really feeling."



Amaya: "Huh?"

Joshua: "I never tire of you."

He keeps stroking her hair.

Amaya: "I'm not your pet..."

Josh laughs as Amaya tries to hide her embarrassment.

Joshua: "Now there's an idea. I would make you my pet right now if I could."

Oh, Josh. You were doing so well, too. Stop hanging out with Patchy.



Amaya: "What are you saying!?"




AWKWARD. HEDGEHOG.

Amaya: (What...?)

He doesn't say anything else.

Looking out the window, Amaya notices they're going up a mountain road. She looks back at Joah. He's concentrating on his driving with a serious look on his face.

Amaya: (Where is he taking me...?)

She keeps her thoughts to herself and stares out the window. Eventually, the car stops.

Amaya: (Is this it?)

Josh opens his door.

Joshua: "We're getting out here."

Amaya: "O-okay."

She gets out as well and follows behind him.



Joshua: "Give me your hand."

Amaya: "Sorry?"

Joshua: "It's dangerous, give me your hand."



Amaya: (Prince Joshua...)



At first I didn't understand him very well and it only made me mad...

But now...

His hand on mine was pleasantly warm.



He sits down. After a while, he seems to get tired of sitting and lays down on the ground.

Amaya: "Your Highness's clothes will get dirty if you lie down there..."

Joshua: "It's fine. You should rest too."



I felt the warmth of his hand on mine, and a pleasant breeze passed over us.

Amaya: (I wish we could stay like this forever...)

I saw the sky grow noticeably brighter as I thought.



The sight I saw in the distance was more beautiful than anything I could have imagined.

I watched in awe.

Joshua: "This sight is said to be the diamond, that nobody can ever have."

Amaya: "Diamond...?"

She looks over at his strong profile.

Amaya: "You wanted to show me this...?"



Joshua: "Yes. I felt I had to show this to you..."

His face drew closer to mine.


Excuse me while I go into the corner and make squealing sounds until this scene is over.

Joshua: "But I don't really know why."

He looked deep into my eyes as he whispered.

He looked so handsome lit up by the early morning light...

I found myself looking at him in the same way I had just watched the sunrise.

Amaya: (Prince Joshua...)

Joshua: "I feel like something has changed in me since I have gotten to know you."

Amaya: "Changed...?"



Joshua: "That I had to stick to them, no matter what the cost."

I returned his intense gaze.

My heart was pounding, and my chest felt so tight I could barely breathe.

Joshua: "But..."

He lowered his gaze.

Joshua: "It is not allowable by our rules for a prince to drive himself without permission."

Amaya: (What?)

Amaya: "That means..."

Joshua: "Yes. I broke the rules this morning."

I am so proud right now. *sniff*

He smiled as he spoke, and I instantly tugged on his arm.

Amaya: "Then we had better go back right..."







His face was so close, its features were blurred.

I was so stunned by the sensation of having his lips pressed against mine, that I couldn't move.

Amaya: (Prince Joshua...?)



Joshua: "I was secretly hoping that the sun would never rise."

Amaya: "Why...?"

Joshua: "Because that way we could stay here like this forever."

This route has so many problem. And I like Joshua, but not as a love interest. I don't know who raised him, but they failed so hard.

WilfredxRoberto OTP. Amaya should totally became a princess so she can go around castle crashing with Roberto.
And I really hope that Jan isnt' the spy.

Although from what I remember of Roberto's non-GREE route, Tamaki is much more capable of being mature when circumstances call for it than Roberto is.

( by the way, after trying Edward's route on the gree, maybe I'll go for Josh, just to see how both versions could differ. After all the pitch is really different in the beginning ( you work as clothes designer and the guy you pick hires you to design his personnal stuff, so there must be less non sensic kidnapping events... But Edward is so much the ideal guy in a princely way that I feel like confronting Protag to a jerk next..)

Believe me, I make the comparison advisedly. Tamaki is a complete ridiculous goofball 90% of the time... but that remaining 10%, when it's for the sake of someone else's happiness, he can snap into full maturity and make really insightful observations or make things happen that need to happen.

Roberto... not so much. He's not as over the top as Tamaki, but he doesn't have that core of surprising insight and maturity to draw on, either.

DAMN IT, ROBERTO, YOU WERE DOING SO WELL!

In all seriousness, though, this does put quite a damper on things. Tamaki is one of my favourite idiots precisely because of his moments of insight and genius. He's brilliant. A ditz, but brilliant.

Yeah, I still can't like him anymore. The sweet is counterbalanced by the fact Joshua was totally taking dating tips from Amanohashi just before...WAIT A SECOND, THIS IS THE OPPOSITE OF A HIMURO SCENE.

I really like that the GREE version gives you an actual profession. It comes up a LOT in Wil's route, as well, his admiration for your aesthetic as a designer and your work ethic is a huge part of the reason he likes you.

No, he's not. At least he gave her his name before kidnapping her. Amanohashi didn't because-- I will get to that when I get to that point in my updates, just. Fuck.

I'm also reasonably sure that had Amaya actually said "no" to this predawn excursion, Joshua would probably have backed off. It still wasn't cool of him to order instead of asking politely, of course, but he is getting better.

Which only backs me up when I say: we must play Wilfred's route next.

I just played Glenn's route again....

Is it me or does this route seem to go "Nope" --> 'Squee/Moe/Kyaaaa' moment ---> Nope ---> 'Squee/Moe/Kyaaaaa' moment --->NOPE --->'Squee/Moe/Kyaaa' --->NOOOOPPEEEE--oh, that's nice, that's very nice.

He doesn't seem like a good choice for a stable marriage.

But you see, we get to be queen in exchange.

I think he'll probably get better, but so far he lost me because of all the "NOPE".

We get to be queen in every route, though, so why not go for Willfred or Roberto or the Targaryen Edward?

Personally Roberto strikes me as someone who'd be super fun to be friends with but absolutely infuriating as a love interest. Also his name is too close to my brother's for me.

Just got finished catching up and;

Josh, I love you so much, but god this storyline is so fucking frustrating.

It doesn't help that I had the best background music durring certain scenes. (I've been lurking on Serenes Forest for the last month and a half. Feb 4th can't come fast enough for me. It doesn't help my b-day being in 5 days either.)

That was definitely more cute than I was expecting. Can we just go after Wilfred now? Edward still creeps me out with his over-friendliness and I don't want Roberto to cock-block himself for 12 chapters.
