...Maybe it's because we just got off of Josh's route, but I wonder if Wilfred set it on fire. Look, I've endured thirty pages of dressing up as a maid and rice ball abductions. I'm hella wary.

I have a tendancy of spouting out random things I know since I absorb things like a sponge. It's a family trait appearently, since me, my little sis, my mom and a lot of my mom's family do this.

I actually think Edward did it. "I get the feeling I will be seeing you again" indeed.

Anyone else find it suspicious that Edward said he "had a feeling" they would be seeing each other again and then...fire? yandere love identified?
ha. I'm kidding I already know Edward didn't do it, he's not that psycho he's not the type but that would be an interesting very scary turn of events.

Also:
This route is already 100x better. BF Amaya chooses Wilfred and awesomeness ensues. We have such random sometimes awful great taste in men.

But then again, we've just finished escaping from the Rape-geon so idek.

The next morning, Amaya wakes up in a soft bed.

Amaya: (...Oh, a dream... Of course, it's not like my apartment truly would burn down suddenly.)

She moves her head.


AAAAAH! AAAAAAH! AAAAH! AAAH! AAAH!


*deep breath*

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!

??: "Good morning, Miss Amaya."

Amaya: (Oh, this man... I remember!)

She sits up and lowers her head.

Amaya: "Good morning, Mister Claude."

He gives a small smile and pours a cup of tea.

Claude: "It is fine to call me Claude. Please, drink this. I believe this will help clear your head a little."

...You first.

Amaya: "Thank you, ...Claude."

Amaya: (That's right. Yesterday I...)



~Begin flashback~



Even if she returns to her apartment, she can't go inside. There's smoke and water damage everywhere, and everything in it must be ruined.

Amaya: (...Right. I need to contact someone.)

She wanders around aimlessly. She doesn't know anyone in Charles well enough to be able to call them at this hour. At her wit's end, she remembers Edward's words.

Amaya: (He said he thought we'd meet again, but I don't even know how to contact him... And, he's a prince, so what am I doing even thinking of something so outrageous?)

She sighs and reaches into her pocket for her cell phone when she finds a piece of paper.

It's the phone number from the old man.

She stares at it for a while, then dials the number.

Because why bother a prince when you can bother the Pope?

Amaya: (I know it's rude to call this late, but I don't have anyone else to turn to...)

She soon hears a familiar voice.

Old man: "Hello?"

Amaya: "Oh, hi. Sorry to bother you this late. I met you in town today..."

The man laughs.

Old man: "Yes, I remember you. The girl from in town... Amaya wasn't it?"

She sighs when she hears his gentle, soothing voice.

Amaya: "Yes."

Old man: "Did something happen? Judging from the noise it sounds like you are outside."

Amaya: "Well..."

Amaya explains her situation.

His tone grows serious.

Old man: "That truly is a misfortune. You must be troubled... Where are you now?"

After that the old man must have sent this person called Claude to pick me up by car.

Amaya: (But where am I?)

It was late when I'd come, and I'd been brought to this room without meeting anyone else.

I quickly realized that it was a palace, but I didn't know anything about where it was.

Amaya: (It must belong to some royalty...)

~end flashback~



Amaya: "Oh, no..."

She looks down to see Claude holding out some clothes to her.



Claude: "Once you are properly dressed would you be so kind as to call me on the intercom?"

Amaya: "Y-yes, of course."



She puts on the dress and then follows Claude to a large sitting room. Seated on the sofa is someone she recognizes.

It's Prince Wilfred.





Claude: "I have brought along Miss Amaya."

Wilfred: "Yes, thank you."

Wilfred nods, then glances at Amaya.



Amaya: "No, I mean... Is this place Your Highness's...?"

His eyebrows shoot up.

Wilfred: "Did you come here without knowing?"

Uhhh... tee hee?



Amaya is taken aback by the blunt comment and Claude chuckles.

Claude: "I believe that couldn't be helped Your Highness. In any case, it was very late at night. She was taken to her room straight away."

Wilfred: "Oh, I see."

Amaya: "Excuse me. Do you know the gentleman who helped me, Your Highness?"

Wilfred: "Gentleman?"



Amaya: (Michel? So that was the old man's name...)

Wilfred: "Oh, I see... As to whether or not I know him... Well, you don't need to worry about unnecessary things. Take it easy for now."

Can we have both of them? Please?

Wait what? Oh, voting.... Uh.... Let's be straight forward! A!

There is a spin-off for all of the butlers that has not been translated in English yet, but it's not a full route just a little sidestory, I think?! You do get one CG though as far as I know .. you can find and stare longingly at them on tumblr. Here's a link if you want! Not that I had that bookmarked so I could look at it all the time .. hahahaha, nooooo, never.

The only butler that has a full route like the princes is Zain - sadly they haven't translated his route yet. It makes me very very sad every day. WHY U NO GIVE US ZAIN VOLTAGE? WHY? :( It just hope that they realize that I (and others) would throw all their money at them if they released his route and will do it soon.

OMG, I can't get out of my head the idea that Edward started the fire... it's too much of a coincidence.
I'm legit scared.

Wilfred starts to leave the room and Amaya calls out to him.

Amaya: "Umm... I...!"

He glances back, expressionless.

Wilfred: "...Yes?"

Amaya: (Aah... What should I...)

Amaya: "T-thank you so much. For giving me the use of that room..."

His eyebrows raise slightly.

Wilfred: "It wasn't me who made that decision."

Amaya: "...What?"

Claude: "We had a call from Lord Michel, and the one who made the decision was..."



Amaya: (Oh...)

Claude quickly takes a step back.

Wilfred: "So if you have thanks, direct them to him."

She doesn't understand why, but Wilfred's mood seems soured as he leaves the room.

WTF, Wils? Daddy issues?

Amaya is frozen to the spot until Claude approaches her.

Claude: "Are you all right, Miss Amaya?"

Amaya: "Um... Did I perhaps say something wrong?"





Claude: "...but I will explain these to you."

Amaya: (Hmm, there are places like that...)

Amaya: "Yes."

She leaves the room with Claude as he shows her around the castle.

Amaya: (First yesterday's party and now this... These things really can happen...)



Amaya: (Right! I need to contact school, and my parents...)

She contacts the school and her parents with a promise that she'll be in contact again when things are back to normal.

As she's finishing, there's a knock on the door, and Claude enters the room.



Amaya: "Oh, okay."



Amaya: (Huh?)

Amaya: "Will I be required to change clothes for dinner?"



She gives him a list of foods she dislikes.



Claude: "Could I please ask you for your contact details, Miss Amaya?"



Amaya: "What?"



Claude: "Just in case we need to contact you when you are outside the palace walls, or your whereabouts are unknown within the castle. I would prefer to be able to contact you."

Amaya: (Oh, that makes sense.)

Amaya: "Okay, sure."

Queen: "Truly, Miss Amaya, please feel free to relax and recover here."

Finding the King and Queen to be kinder than she imagined, Amaya smiles back at them.

Amaya: "Thank you so much."

King: "Wilfred dear, please assist her wherever you can."

Yessss, wherever you can. Nudge nidge, wink wink, say no more.



Wilfred: "...Of course."

*sigh* Kuudere...

His parents smile bitterly.

Queen: "We are sorry. He is not a very affectionate young man."

...Not yet, anyway.

King: "Honestly when he is away for public affairs or at official functions, I worry whether he is able to communicate properly or not."

Well, way to be supportive of your son, Dad.

Wilfred: "I am sorry."

Amaya: (Are Prince Wilfred and his parents always like this?)

Weird family.





Amaya: "Um, I hope my being here isn't causing any problems."

His reply is expressionless.

Wilfred: "Not really."

Amaya: (He always seems so cold and indifferent.)

I dropped my gaze, and Prince Wilfred surprised me by patting me on the head.

Cold and expressionless, huh?



Amaya: (...Wha?)

It seemed so natural that for one moment I was unable to comprehend what was happening.

Wilfred: "You have no need to worry. You aren't causing us any trouble..."

My heart beat faster at his kind touch.

Amaya: "Your Highness..."



Wilfred: "You can call me Wilfred."

Amaya: "What?"



Amaya: "But..."

Amaya: (I can't just address a prince by their first name...)

Sure you can. Do iiiiiiit.

Wilfred: "I don't mind if you prefer to call me something else?"

Oh WOW, this gets off to an incredibly different start from the Gree version. I'll refrain from voting since this exact same choice does come up in the Gree version, so I have a good idea how both answers go.

B FOR GOODNESS'S SAKE. B

So, out of curiosity, what's different? No apartment fire?

Yeah, in the Gree version you are a budding fashion designer. You go to Nobel Michel on behalf of your boss to deliver a gown for a ball being held that night, but the actress who is supposed to wear it wants to skip the function and go on a date, so she talks you into wearing the gown and going in her place. That's how you meet all the princes (who are not fooled in the least and most of whom are amused at the turn of events.)

Weeks later, your boss, a famous fashion designer, is putting on a menswear show and one of your designs has been judged good enough to walk the runway. The princes are all in attendance, and after the show Wilfred comes backstage to talk about the looks and yours was one of his favorites. I won't explain any further because some of the plot points after that might still apply in this route.

I must confess, I did not like Josh's epilogue. At all. I found it rather distasteful, to be honest. (Not the word I want, but close enough.)

ON ANOTHER NOTE, WE ARE CALLING HIM WILLS HOLY FUCK IS THIS EVEN A QUESTION LET ME HOLD THAT PRECIOUS BOY. Claude can stay far away though.

Far, far away. I'm side-eyeing him so fucking hard.

The thing to keep in mind about Claude is, to paraphrase Monkey Island, his heart is in the right place, but his mind is somewhere cold and dark and covered in spiders.

He's insanely loyal to Wilfred, he's just a colossal ass.

We are totally going to give him a nickname because over-friendliness is the way to go in the otome-world!

Claude is so frustrating for me because one minute he's half-decent and I'm like oh maybe we finally get along and then the next minute hes all DON'T BOTHER PRINCE WILFRED STAY AWAYY!!111 -_- I don't know if its the same in this one but in the Gree route even Wilfred doesn't seem to like him much.

Edit: Voting for B because I haven't gotten to this point in the Gree(or maybe I did but forgot lol) route and I wanna see his reaction to Wills XD

WE SKIPPED LIKE 10 BASES ALREADY! He wants us to call him whatever we're comfortable with, which is Wills, by the way. I didn't see Joshua correcting Amaya when she called him 'Your Highness', even after they got engaged. not really surprised by that though. But this is no place to be talking about the other one. Only Wilfred feels here (all of which consist of hnnnnnnng)!

I don't dislike Claude, and I am on the epilogue in Wilfred's Gree route. So we'll see if he's different in the regular version or if it's a matter of taste.

He has that type of personality that frustrates me when it's used in a side character, but that I actually like in a love interest.

And so Joshua's route is done, with it's many, many tonal shifts and awkwardness. I'm still wondering if that country has paperwork for sexytimes with it's many many confounding rules.

And WOOHOO onto the Kuudere! My favorite.

And Wil is handsy, oh yeahhhhhhh. I mean, poor baby is bad with words and doesn't wear his heart on his sleeve, so people think he has no heart, but clearly he'd appreciate a hug.
