She starts down the corridor.

Amaya: (It's not like I'll have many chances to see something like this. I'll just have a quick look at the courtyard.)

But when she gets to the stairs, Claude is guarding the bottom of them. He. Is. Pissed.



Amaya: (He looks really scary!)

Amaya: "Oh, no! I was just on my way back now!"

She spins around and heads back up the stairs when Claude yells again.

Claude: "I've already warned you about running!"

Amaya: (I've done it now. There's no way Claude is ever going to trust me.)

Oof. That was painful. This one wasn't really a choice between Will and Claude; it was a choice on whether or not to antagonize Claude needlessly. Let's, uh, let's forget that ever happened.





Amaya: (But, I really should obey Claude's instructions properly this time.)

And she returns to her room. After a while, she starts to hear voices from people gathering outside.

Amaya: (I really wish I could go out and watch...)

She sits down on the bed and there's a knock on the door. It's a maid.



Amaya: "My tea?"

Maid: "Yes, Master Claude asked me to bring it up to you."

Of course, even if Amaya does as he says, and even though she hasn't done anything at all to make him think she won't listen, he still doesn't trust her.

Amaya: "Oh. Thank you."

She takes the cup and returns to her bed.

Amaya: (Was Claude checking to make sure I was staying to my room? But... He wouldn't do that...)

The hell he wouldn't.



Her cell phone rings.

It's a text message.

From Claude.





Amaya: (...Wow... He really doesn't trust me.)

She sighs. As she puts down her phone, she hears people cheering outside. Wondering what's going on, she steps out onto her balcony.

The balcony is part of the room, right?

Right?

Looking down into the courtyard, she sees a large group of reporters surrounding Will.



Amaya: (Princes really are amazing, being able to do that. They have a lot of people who admire them, but it looks like a lot of hard work.)



Amaya: (He said the most important things are tradition and manners, but when I think about it, there are so many other things I don't know about Philip Kingdom. I'm being well looked after here, the least I could do is learn more about it.)

She thinks that while looking toward Will, and then she returns to her room.

Several hours later, it's getting near dinner time when there's a knock on her door.

Amaya: "Yes?"


Fuck.


And here we go.

Amaya: "Wha...What do you mean?"

He gave me such a threatening look, I flinched.

Amaya: (Did he find out that I was watching from the balcony?)

Claude seemed sterner than I had ever seen him.

Amaya: (What's going on...?)

Claude is freaking unhinged, that's what's going on.

Wow, look at Claude's friendly face there - I'm sure there's no way that this could go bad, right?

What the-- They just ended it like that in the middle of a conversation?

Well, that didn't went as planned. I'm a little disappointed that Amaya couldn't go to the courtyard. At least she could watch from afar.

I have this feeling that Claude won't agree with us that the balcony is part of her room. Oups?

But seriously? Guarding the stairs, having a maid bring her tea, sending her a text message, all so she stay in her room? If he didn't want her on the balcony too, why didn't he do something about it or was THAT a little too much?
I'm even more curious about what was going on with the media for him to go all "OMG NO DON'T GO!"

Claude, calm down on the yan there, boy.

Wait, so you're calling me a sue, Ran? Cats that I legit have never seen before will always come up to me with a little coaxing and begin to like me because hey, attention and pets. If this is what makes her a sue in the epilogue, then I must be fucking perfect.

I did say generally. I am actually jealous, at most, cats I've never met before stay three feet away and stare at me.

The irony of this statement is that I made the connection as soon as I saw his hair. And I would romance the fuck out of that spider demon.

I know I'm spamming this thing now, and forgive me if someone's already explained this, but I think it's stop animation. There are special cameras for that. They'd get it to take a sequence of rapid pictures every time they poured. So you'd take one colour, pour it, then move on to the next colour.

This happened to me once. There was a stray that lived in the loft over our garage for a week, and the first time she herd my voice she popped her head out to see what was going on, then came right over. She purred so much and would climb right into my lap for a snooze; it was obvious she wanted human attention as I wasn't even feeding her (I really wanted to cause she was so thin.) I called her Vera.
Plus, there's the chance that cat was owned at some point, making it far more likely to be social.

Yeah, if the cat was previously owned or has been around humans long enough (that treated it properly and with respect), then it's more likely to be social. Feral cats, though? Rrrrrrreaaaaaally unlikely. That, and cats with unsociable personalities or dispositions.

Honestly, I was more pissed by her bringing a cat close to someone with a phobia. That's not something you without consent, period.

I was inspired to Google "rainbow shots" and there's actually a way to do it without camera tricks. It involves layering the ingredients carefully in the shaker and then pouring them carefully so that a different layer is going into each shot, which works because the heaviest liquids go on the bottom and increasingly lighter liquids are layered upwards.

I wanted to hear what Claude was accusing us of, there's a chance it wasn't the balcony thing at all! What if Wills bragged about us to the press or something?

Now that I think about it, cats and I have always had a good relationship. There was this cat lady who lived next door to our old babysitter and she let her cats roam around freely in her yard and such. There were a few that would always come up to people, the few that would ignore you, but then I got the cat that hated everyone but her to come up to me. Note that the first time this happened, this was our first time seeing eachother. Her name was Moma, and she was also the alpha female I guess you could say. I got her to come up to me and lick my hand a bit and she let me pet her.

XD That is ironic. Yes Claude is hot but he's a Sebastian wanna-be and knows it!

Claude is just way more subdued. Doesn't want anyone to pay too much attention to him. It's all a ploy, I tell you!

Oh undoubtedly it's a ploy! But sadly I cannot get the image of Claude out of my head when I see Claude in Wills' route. O.e

Hilariously enough I stopped reading Black Butler after volume eight and haven't watched the anime past episode one, so I have no idea what I'm talking about.

I'm not sorry to say I find this hilarious and laughed.

This chapter picks up right where the last left off...


...with Claude being a bitch.

Claude: "But this goes beyond my levels of patience!"

Amaya: "Wha!?"

Amaya: (He's really angry...)

Maybe he'll have an aneurysm and die. Wouldn't that be lovely.



All Amaya can do is stand there while Claude yells at her. She's never seen him this angry before.

Claude: "You couldn't even follow one simple instruction. Something even a baby could have understood!"

Amaya: "...What?"

Claude: "All I asked was for you to stay in your room!"

Amaya: (He must have seen me out on the balcony...)

Soooo, I guess the balcony is NOT part of the room. Would have been nice if he'd clarified that she should stay in her room and STAY INSIDE.



Amaya: "I'm sorry! I just wanted to have a quick look so I was only outside for a moment..."



Amaya: "Problem?"

Claude studies her face.


WHUT

Amaya: "Of me...?"

She turns on the TV in her room. It's showing footage of Will's interview, and she can see herself in the background of the shot.

TV: "We have asked the royal family who this mysterious lady is, but thus far have received no formal reply to our questions."

The camera zooms in on Amaya.

Fucking really? This is news? Just tell them she's Claude's cousin visiting him. There, problem solved.

Amaya: (No way... That really is me...)



Claude: "This is exactly why I asked you to keep to your room!"

Amaya: "I-I'm sorry!"

She lowers her head.

It doesn't help.

Claude: "What are you going to do? This unfortunate matter is in all likelihood going to get worse. Do you understand the position you're in!?"


Ah, haha haha ha hah!

Claude is in trouble!







Claude flinches for a moment, but then he turns to face Will.

Claude: "No, even with Your Highness's instructions I cannot let this pass."

Wilfred: "Oh?"

Will raises his eyebrows.





Claude: "Of course not, Your Highness. Please forgive my rudeness."

Oh, you passed beyond rude about two rants ago.



Wilfred: "Well, it's true that this issue concerning Amaya is rather troublesome for the royal family."

Claude: "Of course it is!"

Shut up, Claude.



Wilfred: "I shall make sure Amaya knows the severity of the problem myself."



Wilfred: "Didn't you hear me?"

Claude: "I did."

Wilfred: "Then I shall talk to her. You may leave."



Claude: "Understood..."


Oh, he's sad now, but just wait until he has time to think on it.

"Master Wilfred is angry with me. Master Wilfred never yelled at me like this before she came. It's all her fault. I must get her away from Master Wilfred..."

Wilfred: "You've done it now."

Amaya jumps at his low, quiet voice.

Amaya: "I am really, truly sorry! I didn't mean to..."

Wilfred: "You're funny."

Amaya: "Huh?"

Amaya: (What did he just...?)



Wilfred: "Leaning out like that on the balcony..."

Amaya: (Wah... Prince Wilfred saw that video too?)

Wilfred: "Did you want to watch that desperately?"

Wilfred: "It's okay to say that you did."

Prince Wilfred's eyes were calm.

I felt as if a spell were being cast over my heart.

Amaya: (Isn't he angry with me?)

I stared at him as I felt the warmth from his hand on my cheek spread.



My heart was disturbed further at the sound of his sweet voice.

Amaya: "No... I..."

A. We are not speaking his name. This is not his route. He doesn't even have a route. Just a spin off.

Freaking A, let's just pretend Claude doesn't exist because nobody is allowed to speak like that to a person. 'Even a baby would understand.' Yeah, well, you go scream and yell at a baby and see how the media represents that.
