Interesting card based RPG, with some nice artwork - turn based deck building setup with an RPG narrative tying it together. http://northmark.rakeingrass.com/ Worth a look see. Theres a demo.
I bought this yesterday for $15 and it is an enjoyable but simplistic "beer n pretzels" type of RPG. The combat is turn based and abstracted, based upon card play. The plot is minial, just a series of excuses to give some direction to th combat, and the production values are minimal without being ugly. The combat itsel is quite elegant and strategically satisfying to hardcore turn based gamer like myself. Bottom line, if you want a beer n pretzels turn based RPG-lite, this is your ticket. To me, it is definitly worth the $15. I've gotten about 3 hours into it and I would estimate that I am not quite halfway. Total gameplay is probably in the range of 8-10 hours, I think.
Well it turns out that for $15 you only get the first segment of the game. I finished it in under 5 hours. It was amusing but I'm not sure I see any replay value. I'm guessing they intend to sell more content packs, but as far as I can see, the only content available now is the initial chunk.
