BTW - one thing that might change things a bit. China has now decided to try and switch to domestic consumption - aka "we are tired of working making stuff for foreigners, we want iPods too!" Upside is that wages are going up fast in China - downside of course is that don't expect price of tradable goods in Walmart to remain so low.

I've asked a simple question to see if you could back up your vague rhetorics. So it looks you can't -- and trying to cover it up with such pathetic combination of ad hominem and straw man is beyond weak.

If i "fuck off" now, that's because you've lost whatever argument you were trying to make and there's nothing left to discuss. Pip pip.

Mr Picky would like to point out that "pip pip" is in fact a greeting or an exhortation. "Toodle pip" is the phrase you are looking for
  4. tmp Keeper of the Elemental Materials

I was looking for the 'throwing in some british english to match the proverbial monocle and failing badly at that' effect there, to keep things from getting to serious. So that's intentional, but you're right of course :)

That's aggravated assault? Seems like it should be attempted murder. Great job at giving herself financial hardship now. Thanks, Obama!

I'm relatively certain that neither Texas nor the White House is going to let 0.1% of the Texan populace decide the fate of the entire state.

    From the BBC Article:
Stupid Obama and his Homeland Security department.

Also: I'm pretty sure that more than 25,000 (or even 100,000) people complained about the cancellation of Firefly, and they didn't warrant a response from Fox. Ergo: Rupert Murdoch doesn't care about Americans as much as Barack Obama does.

Yeah, my favorite part about that petition site is where people petitioned to get rid of the TSA and go back to metal detectors, and the White House responded by having John Pistole write an essay about the TSA. John Pistole, of course, being the head of the TSA. Spoiler alert: he did not announce the end of his job.

I like the petitions idea and all, but really, they're nonbinding and pretty much worthless. Aside from the beer recipe.

Has there been a poll on how many people actually think the TSA is in some way due to Obama?

What a silly thing to say. It's people who support:
    A) A fucking joke, since you can't deport someone who lives in your country, where would you deport them TO.
    B) They support deporting people who don't want to be Americans, whereas illegal immigrants want to be Americans so badly they're willing to break the law to do so.

Your basic premise is flawed on every level here, Brett.

I'm not sure how much clearer I could have made what the "alternatives" were given that I specifically quoted how much the company brings in and how much the owner, specifically, makes. And then someone else did the math on how much of a pittance will be added to their bottom line for you.
No one else seems to have been confused. You're either just screaming louder and louder because the rest of the class is too fast for you or you were hoping to get me to fall into some sort of trap you can't spring unless I say the right words. I'm sorry I didn't dignify your idiot question with the proper formality.

Once again I think there's a missing comma, and that has me stymied. I think he's telling someone to "fuck off Blackadar." I've heard of sucking someone off. Is this just the intercourse equivalent?

  37. tmp Keeper of the Elemental Materials

#1 The simplest way to make it perfectly clear what you had on mind is to plain say it.

#2 If you are asked to clarify your position on something, that's not to 'get you in some sort of trap' but --outside of paranoiaville-- because the alternative is to guess what you could mean, effectively putting words in your mouth. Which means the risk of getting it wrong and the discussion grinding to a halt until your actual position is eventually clarified, optionally with the person objecting that's a strawman and not what they meant at all and how dare you.

#3 My guess about your "specific quoting" and position overall was, your "alternatives" are to have the company and/or the owner cover this expense from their profits. It was included in my first reply, as a followup question (i wasn't going to outright presume, for reasons outlined in #2) The way you've chosen to address it was to omit it entirely. GG.

#4 Perhaps the reason no one else is asking what you meant is, that question was asked already and --especially as you refuse to provide an answer-- there seems to be little point in repeating that?

edit: sorry, drew; if it helps any, the whole Orca fiasco did make me laugh out loud...
