I couldn't help but smile at the scene it made.

He babbled about something before continuing.

We leave but not before Bill gives Link a little circuit, that glowed whenever he shocked it. The more power, the more it shined.
The overjoyed look on the Pikachu's face put Bill higher on the 'People I Don't Want to Kill' list.

We take the shortcut back to Cerulean.

I approach the Pokecenter, but something catches my eye.

The officer doesn't look at me as I enter the house.
I pass by two women who grumble about Team Rocket before I enter the back garden.
"yard!"
I raise an eyebrow at him, but stay silent.
The grunt gives me an odd look.
There was a beat of silence before I rush him.
"Oi! What are you doin-!!"

Bubbles rose to the surface and the Rocket splashed wildly, I shove the bush I broke onto him.
He sinks without much more fight.

(Guys, I'm sorry if this upsets anyone, but I'm going to skip most of S.S Anne's plot and head straight to the shipping. It probably won't but I have to be safe an apologize form the get-go.)

Charles glances around uneasily as he crosses the un-fenced bridge to the large cruise ship. Trying not to get seasick from...well just looking at the sea.
Sighing and running a hand over his face, he idly flashed his ticket to the guard and shakily entered the S.S. Anne.
The only reason Charles was even doing this was because he needed to train his Pokemon. Not like he wanted to see someone who most definitely got a ticket or anything.

Huh.
It turned out the cruise ship was kind of fun. There were several rooms of trainers, and a few filled with games and places for your Pokemon to play around. Charles smiled as he deposited his team there and let Fontaine out in the sea by the window.
Humming happily, Charles crossed the hallways, glad that the ship wasn't actually moving. His feet found a methodical pattern as he entered a mostly abandoned section, the only sound were his footsteps as he rounded the corner.
And, of course, Charles rammed into someone else.

He released a squeak that he would later swear never crossed his mouth and started to apologize as he looked up. He blinked when he realized he was staring at Gary's suspiciously blushing face.
"Oh! Er...Hi Gary" He fumbled after a moment of silence. Gary stared at him then slowly turned away. Charles froze, nonplussed as the older man began to walk away. "Hey!" He shouted, and without realizing it reached out and snagged his rival's hand. Gary froze at the contact and half-turned in surprise.

Charles sucked in a deep breath and forced himself to look at him in the eye.
"Okay, listen. I don't know what those stupid e-mails contained to make you act like this but I'm kind of sick of you brushing me off!" He snapped before he could contradict himself. Gary blinked and turned to face Charles fully.

"...Do you really not care?" Gary questioned softly, refusing to meet his eyes.

"I...It's not that I don't care, it's just...I don't want it to impede our...Relationship?" Well, Charles wasn't sure if it counted as a relationship but hey. Gary gave him an odd look and opened his mouth. Yet before he could utter a sound the ship gave a well timed rock.

Charles wasn't sure how it happened, but suddenly the two were kissing against the wall.
Because Charles certainly didn't stand on his tiptoes as Gary stumbled forward to make himself more equal to him.
And Gary certainly didn't stoop down slightly to better match his height.
Most of all the two didn't allow themselves to be pushed against the wall. Only the boat made it happen.
But in the end they were lip locked and neither could pull away.

When their trainer stumbled back into the playroom looking dazed, a bit manhandled and ruffled, Eboby couldn't help the pleased giggle that escaped her lips. Mission slightly Accomplished.

The rest of the team shared blank looks.
But, hey, it looked like Charles was in a brighter mood, so they didn't question it.

I watched the S.S. Anne sail off with a light heart. Feeling oddly happy with my experience on the ship. Unconsciously licking my lips as I walk away.

Fontaine steps up first to train, both his large form and high attack rate made it rather easy for him.


I pat his scaly head as he stoops back down to my level, Fontaine slithering away shortly afterwards.
Dokosu readily stepped forward with a small smirk. I grin at her and she readily replies with her own. I guess she got over the Moon Stone incident.

It was then, the incident happened.
She was facing a Rattata, normally not such a big deal. So I order her to put it to sleep, she uses Sing a few times and they all miss. The wild Pokemon was able to score a couple hits and even a critical. Then I made such a foolish mistake. I kept ordering her to battle.
It was surprisingly quick when she went down, Dokosu's own tackle only taking away a quarter of the Rattata's health. Then the thing used Quick Attack. There was a sharp crack then nothing.

I buried her after that. I went to Mt.Moon and made her a resting place. Like K-kai, I'll find Dokosu another final place when I can...

Oh hey, whose this? Dokosu you say? Must've been one of Charles's new pokemon. So I guess it's just you and me up here for now huh? You know I just became the kick-boxing champion up here and I've been thinking about entering the other categories while I'm at it. So what did you usually do for fun? Haha Charles and Gary, you say? I wish I could tip my hat to Shii for all the hard work she's been doing. I think I'll go possess a pokemon one of these days to check up on Charles.
