Ah, well spotted. I retract my comment. The saving throw for the Holy Word spell's banishment component is, at a minimum, a 24 (with a -4 penalty on the roll), which is difficult but far from impossible.
He's walking though the wall somehow I'd guess; you can see the portal being formed in the fifth panel. My knowledge of D&D clerics is not great, so I don't know what spell he'd use to do that.
Ethereal Jaunt, a 7th level spell? I have the vague sense that there's something similar at a lower level, but nothing comes to mind. I guess I might be thinking of Wizard spells though.
Didn't look like he was coming out of the wall to me, but looking at it again I guess it's hard to tell. That's a pretty risky tactic though, without any slack or flexibility, and plenty of potential to go horribly wrong. I have a hard time seeing Roy suggest they split up like that. The spell is also very narrowly useful and so unlikely to be prepared unless you had a specific plan in mind ahead of time.
Looks like it to me; either he's phasing through or stepping out of it. Look at the first panel on the second-to-last row.
Rich confirmed on the official forums that it's Meld into Stone. http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=13620158&postcount=101
Looks to me like he just came straight down the hall ethereally then phased in, as it looks like he's going left rather than towards the audience. Kinda hard to tell with stick figures though! [Edit: Ah, well then!]
Tarquin may be high enough level to just shrug Holy word off and attack Durkon, but I was just re-reading, and note the third last panel: http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0822.html
The first rule of OoTS club is you ALWAYS POST A LINK TO THE NEW ONE. The second rule of OoTS club is you never post in the thread unless it's within 72 hours of a new one being posted. Or you get a shipment of OoTS books.
I invoke the exception, because my box of goodies has finally shown up in the antipodes. All the books, an art print, and my daughter is already getting to work on one of the colouring books.
What do you mean? As to the schedule, I'm hoping he'll pick it up now the Kickstarter stuff is starting to wind down a bit. Because it's about two a month atm.
http://www.giantitp.com/index.html#7YBU773u2uaCTL9ibwO Bad news, Rich had to have surgery on his hand due to cutting it on some broken glass, so he is out of action for 6 weeks or so.
That sucks. I now, by the way, have all the OOTS printed books.I will read them put them on the shelf for my son (almost 2) and my daughter (-5 months) to discover at a later date. :)
Does that include the coloring book? Because you totally need to have your son find that a bit sooner. ;)
While Rich's hand is still healing there was another update. Maybe he learned how to draw with his other hand. Or maybe he just had this partially finished before his accident. Either way, more OotS for the moment.
