That said, he doesn't really have room to accuse anyone of shitposting when 90% of his posting here is regurgitating Reddit and Facebook with no actual insight added. Yes, this. Linking to news stories is fine so long as you have something substantive to add or you really want to spark off discussion. If you're just re-sharing, that's what Tumblr/Facebook/ScoialMediaPlatformOfChoice is for.

I don't follow all these threads every day, I usually play catch up once a week or so. I also don't go to any "funny pictures" websites so, even if it's years old, it might be new to me. You're really taking me to task for not reading everything everywhere all the time? Cool. Just so we're clear. It's just horseshit that there's a double standard at play here. I'm being yelled at for the one time I respond to Bill but what does he get for the dozens of times he's responded to me? Likes. I made a thread named after me, with my avatar in it, with the express intent of having it filled with content from me, and people stumble in here surprised and angered to see me. Like it's somehow my fault. I couldn't make many threads, I couldn't make a thread, I can't repeat any posts anywhere. I'm narrowed down to, once a week, posting a picture of carpet samples as long as Fullerton Floors doesn't have an account here. And it's all my fault. Let's be frank here: Bill insults. It's what he does. He may only go after low hanging fruit and you might find it funny but that is 90% of what he does, I don't know why we have to pretend otherwise but it is what he does. If you like that fine, that's cool, if that's the person both you and he want to be than fine, be that person. But let's not pretend that going back over his last 100 posts won't be, predominantly, a snarky jpeg or insult. And when I say anything it's "Aw come on, just ignore him if you don't like him so much." But why doesn't the same reasoning apply to him? If he doesn't like me so much why shouldn't he have to ignore me? And, even if I do ignore him, he gets to keep following me around making fart noises behind my back begging for me to look at him until I turn around and he gets to declare victory. And then I complain and get called names. Otterloop, there's not a giant wheel of fortune people spin to capriciously decide who gets liked and who doesn't. If people like Bill when he makes fun of something you've done, and don't give you likes when you get angry about it, there's probably both a reason and a pattern there. I get that you're angry about the situation, or feel persecuted, here, but the way it comes off to me in the last few posts is an awful lot of anger about a very, very minor barb. I think that's what people are responding to, here. You've got to try and roll with the punches.
