Just watched all 5 episodes of this on a longhaul flight.

Very good stuff, has a flawed and not very likeable protagonist (Cumberbatch) and one of the best villains for a long time (Rebecca Hall, but to call her a villain is unfair, she is as much sinned against as sinning) Some great part roles as well - Rufus Sewell as an insane vicar is a standout.

As well as the standard "the Great War changed everything" it is more the story of what has to be one of the great unhappy marriages in literature.

HBO/ BBC JV, so it has bare bosoms.

Quick googling turns up that it was adapted by Tom Stoppard, directed by the same person as generation kill (Susanna White), so no wonder it is good

You had me at Rebecca Hall.

And then again at Tom Stoppard.

I'm very interested. Rufus Sewell and Cumberbatch are both great usually, and I'm a sucker for these types of shows.
