Not including suicide by gun but including car wrecks is particularly cute.

Handguns are by far the most-used murder weapon in the country (and the only one that begins to approach the number of people killed in automotive accidents, provided for scale), and are therefore the most deserving of restrictions. A good cartoon.

Also I know I just snarked it up, but how depressing is it that regulating handguns is so far from realistic that right-wingers can triumphantly talk about how much more deserving of regulation they are than assault rifles, confident in the knowledge that it will never ever ever happen?

To not even say anything about the content--hey! That condom-on-the-rifle one is good! My god, it's like a political cartoonist actually understands composition! The angle of the penis rifle, Obama's right arm, and the NRA fellow's gaze all pull your view towards the focal point of the joke, and Obama's left arm balances out the gun barrel/hand arrangement above. It's got a clean, bold, distinctive graphic style; it makes a simple statement without being overly explanatory; and it doesn't have labels plastered all over every damn thing. I'll forgive the NRA logo because it makes for a jaunty hat. A legitimately good cartoon!
