You don't have to worry about the second part, even.
THat comic is different on the (fy)dbd page. Don't know if he edited it or what.
Oh my God, why did you go to his site, why do you hate yourself, tmp?
Jesus, how the hell do you people do it, does alcohol help? Just reading one page of this thread made me wanna eat a bullet. I dunno whether to give you guys a medal or a prescription for lithium.
Hate sustains me.
You are now Cheryl/Carol Tunt in my head. Well, when you're not a bunny anyway.
Man, as tempting as that is, I can't sign off on it. The expression and derived images are way too common for me to buy that Ramirez is going all the way back to the source to call Obama a monkey.
Except the derived images are almost invariably monkeys.
We do what we must because we can.
Are you kidding? Almost every variation of that one involves monkeys. That's as racist as racist gets.
Wait, are they? I admit that my primary exposure to this is via novelty t-shirts from the nineties, but I've seen them with Ziggies and Garfields and spacemen and whatever other things. I've seen monkeys too, but not in overwhelming numbers. Is that really that prevalent?
I see it in monkeys more often than anything else, but most recently I saw it in owls.
A known perfectionist, Muir sometimes does change his comics after release. This time it was a good move, the phrase "COPYRIGHT BEEF" HAD to get out there for this to make any sense at all. Copyright beef my friends, copyright beef.
It's the same reason some people refuse to put Brett on ignore I suppose. All of these have laughably stupid opinions that are as easy and fun to knock down as a carnival booth duck.
Monkeys it is traditionally and originally. Anything not monkeys is a knock off of the monkeys. I've seen Ramirez be racist but also very, very dense, I doubt he has any thoughts deeper than a tea spoon; I don't think he's smart enough to use code.
On the other hand, why would anybody give Ramirez the benefit of the doubt?
I did not make this. It already existed. No, I don't know what that means.
Political cartoons 2013: Copyright Beef
This makes no sense.
What he's trying to say is yet another "I don't have a spending problem" cartoon but...fails on every level.
(and the only way this comic makes a bit of sense is if he originally drew Obama as the donkey since it wouldn't be cannibalism this way)
Really? The story that was released after the attacks would have saved lives? Is that what you're going with?
(by the way, "Sean Smith" there was a much loved SA Goon. That place fucking EXPLODES with hatred every time Ramirez does this)
Forget the terrible speech bubble placement: why is Muiry Sue wearing a diaper???
Soooooooo fucking proud
Wait I thought Reid was in favor of filibuster reform?
I love the expression she has in this one.
Remember that awesome Bennett coat hanger one? This is pretty much the opposite of that despite being on the same side.
Ha! You got played, son.
So here's something I've noticed about these Clinton cartoons: on both sides, they all take pains to get the outfit right. I don't remember this kind of care being taken in any other case. Why is this happening, and what does it mean? I'm tempted to say it's because she's a woman but there are other women in politics and I haven't noticed this phenomenon before. Is it because she's Hillary Clinton? If so, why is it even the case among cartoonists on her side? Is it just that it's a really sharp outfit? Perhaps.
I think it's because the pantsuit is really associated with her now.
Average IQ of red states and blue states is about 99 for both, swing states 101. You are an idiot Muir.
You forgot to rehost that one.
I can see it. My work computer suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks so I'll have to take care of it tonight.
Because there's so much more to complain about in that comic alone.
Obama never said Al Queda (whatever) was destroyed forever, or even that he didn't care about them, I'm sure, however, that Ramirez cheered Bush bravely standing up to the Democrat fear mongers when he said he no longer cares about Osama so it's wrong on it's basest level.
And look at the biiiiiiiiig list of places Al Queda is: Africa AND North Africa?? And Somalia, and Algeria, and Mali twice, and Libya AND Benghazi! I mean that's so many places!!
Ramirez is so dumb and wrong and dumb and wrong you simply can't expect him to be clever enough to make this connection without suffering a stroke.
Don't forget the entirety of Europe.
I know you're slow-pitching this one in, but the diaper is obviously there to hide the boner/head of the blowjob porn Muir traced.
Also if you can get past the Day-By-Dayness of that one and focus on the point: dead? That's the barb he's slinging? Democrats are dead? "Take THAT, you bunch of deads!"
I thought she might be the one who is dead, with that kind of lame-ass punch line. And also the way she is laying on the ugliest couch in the universe.
Look at how many dimensions that couch has. You can see the front from anywhere in the room!
Her face is also particularly weird looking today.
It's a "sex-tional" couch, duh.
Kinda' like how he draws womens breasts, you can always see them no matter what angle the woman is in, cause....sex
If zombie analogy then voter fraud. He doesn't actually mention Chicago or Illinois, so points deducted there.
FUUUUUUUUUUCK YOOOOOUUUUU DAAAAAY BY DAAAAAY!
No idea, but I was performing a similar move after taking that trip down Cleveland in the first panel HEYOOOO GIGGLE GIGGLE HEEHEE
But she rocks pantsuits! Condelezza Rice and Ellen also rock the pants suit. As a professional woman, it is near impossible to find nice professional clothes, so I'd be totally in favor of a 'former Secretary of State' line of clothing for women. It would have to be cheap though - maybe outfits under 100$ and and sold at Penney's :). Although Ellen wouldn't be in the former Secretary of State line, I have always loved her 'Lack of'? Fashion sense
There ya go.
"Juliet is the bug's ass."
That's not what roulette is!
Let's see...women in combat all of which are bland...
Except the inevitable "Mwahaha! Now women will die to feed the Democrat Machine! Mwahaha!" hilarity.
Yeah Obama! It's your fault only half the country is on your side! If the other half had their way the ENTIRE half the country would support them!
Oh wait, it's not 50%, it's 99%. He's literally saying that unless you have 100% support you're being divisive.
Yet another "Obama blames the previous guy" comic but with a "It was bad because he was too nice to the other side" twist.
GUYS SUPERMODELS SURE ARE SKINNY HUH??? ALSO WHAT'S "LITERALLY" MEAN??~Bruce Tinsley
Oh hey storyline! Long time no see! Love the new "OMG I totally just got owned" exclamation mark!
The Right Wing is pouncing on yet another out of context quote, this one is, however, even fucking EASIER to bat aside since the only context you need is either the previous or next sentence
The guy who walked outside into the cold and is ignoring the wood all around him in order to light a single match is the good guy. Making your hero a clear idiot is even worse than making our hero a baby or your villain Santa Claus.
Holy shit how many terrible unfunny strips is Tinsley going to make using that stupid supermodel character
That is adorable :)
Maybe you're not quite getting it. Her name is Purge Daley. Daley sounds like "daily," get it? Like, she purges daily? The implication is that she's bulimic, it's hilarious.
Separate names with a comma.
