The "omgz y u hate women so much obummer" thing has to be straight trolling, right? I mean, there's no actual way that people are for realsies upset about this entirely fabricated "issue," right?

People get upset about whatever stupid thing some moron tells them to be upset about. There have been like half a dozen "issues" that right-wing dopes have been really truly upset about in the past six months that I never would have even known about if not for this thread. So thanks Otterloop, I guess.

There are people who are for-real upset because they take what they've been told at face value. And they've been told that Obama's cabinet is 100% Harvard educated rich white men. This is easily debunked, but there are people who make no effort to confirm things.

The whole "Why you hate Women, Obama" thing has been at least since the election primaries, where it was some seriously misguided attempt to make stupid women switch sides because the numbers pretty much said "Women Hate Republicans". I say stupid women because the entire plan assumed women are complete idiots who believe everything they read in random editorials and political cartoons. Sort of like how Palin was supposed to appeal to women.

It's just going to keep happening because the alternative is actually passing legislation that isn't crazy tone deaf towards women, like this whole birth control fight.

Same basic premise as the Republicans' plan to win over latino voters, then.

Fun fact: this coffee shop (the Forza where 4 police officers were shot in the head) is less than 1 mile from where I lived during college. The day of the shooting I was on a bus coming back from the airport and the bus was redirected cuz manhunt time. It is literally across the street from the airstrips at Joint Base Lewis McChord (whose residents support the many tactical clothing shops and hack tattoo artists that plague the area). When the suspect next encountered by police he was, surprise surprise, shot on sight. This place is the asshole of Tacoma which is that asshole of Washington and the only time it ever got on the news was for a massacre at a coffee-shop frequented by college students and commuters. It's all so fucking depressing. Why is this a cartoon?
