At a rally people started booing Romney and Obama said "Don't boo VOTE. Voting is the best revenge."
Which is an awesome line from an aggrieved party so I got no problem with it but it quickly turned into "Obama wants to kill you all for revenge!!"

Day By Day reads like the right-wing version of your idiot friend who thinks that ironic contrarianism is the same thing as being smart or insightful.

Which, by the way, works wonders. You have no idea how many meetings I've had where I literally stopped paying attention five minutes into it, and then I'm suddenly asked for my opinion on something. So I whip out the formula perfected by The Sphinx in Mystery Men, where you simply say the opposite of a cliche, which has the cadence of wisdom without actually meaning anything. You know, like this: "What do I think? I think that before we go forward, we should take some time to look backward." Or "Before we can set a goal for the group, we need to set our own individual goals for ourselves." Works every time.

Uh....explain this one to me. Is the GOP going to use the coathanger to abort the moderate baby the Democrats planted inside it?

I take it to be commentary to the effect that the GOP has been raped by the Dems (in a metaphor for the recent electino results), and as commentary of GOP figures opposing abortion even in the case of rape since becoming pregnant should be viewed as a gift from God (their view). The BROKEN coat hangar represents a decision NOT to abort.

Not a very good cartoon, because it's pretty insensitive. But mostly because, in the end it sort of makes the GOP look good as it portrays the GOP as being behind their rhetoric, even when the negative applies to them. Not likely.

And I think it's the only good cartoon on the page. But 1) I don't think it sort of makes the GOP look good, and 2) even if it did, that wouldn't inherently make it a not very good cartoon.

Oh, and somebody please explain Romney in a dog carrier on a car roof.

That could be referring simply to Romney accepting the loss instead of going through vote-counting appeals.
