Pooh Baseball - No other 2013 game will make you rage this hard.

I can go thirty for thirty against Rabbit. Which is swell, since it's worth a fuckload of points. But I just can't seem to figure Owl out. I think there's something just a little more puzzle-y about him than the other pitchers.

I made it to Roo in the Japanese version not knowing about upgrades.

Then I got the English version and was like "ahaha, this will be an easy walk with the upgrades"

Turns out, nope.

I tweaked the flash saved object file to give me a hojillion points and maxed out everything, and I still only hit one home run off of Owl. Fuck you, Owl.

Heh, I tried that too (gave myself level 100 in everything). Aside from the satisfaction of blasting Christopher Robin's pitches into the next zip code, it doesn't help at all. You might at best salvage 1 or 2 home runs out of hits that you would have otherwise shanked. Also, it takes a long time to wait for your hits to land.

Owl is the zig-zag one, right? You just need to work out where the "middle" is of the pattern and whack that - pretend he's throwing it straight down that line. Once it clicks he's one of the easiest in the game.

Wow, I feel your pain. I had back-to-back matches against Tigger with 25/28 and 26/28 last night as well. I'm still haunted by his "Hoo hoo hoo hoo!" laugh in my dreams.

I have no trouble HITTING Owl's pitches, but more than any other pitcher I've faced, my hits off of him just land in the outfield. Can't seem to get the sweet spot.

Edit: 16/19 on him. God damn it. I'm currently boosting power in hopes of turning some of those warning track shots into HRs.

So many 26/28 games. This game.

I found this game easier if you pay attention to when the shadow of the ball meets the shadow of your bat, and not actually looking at the ball itself or the bullshit green contact area.

I love Tigger's laugh. Only got up to Owl so far though.

That's funny, I found the opposite: this game is easy if you just think like a child. Stop looking at the shadow or thinking in 3D and you can hit a home run almost every time until you get up to the really crazy levels.

Pretty much. Most of the opponents rely on distracting you.

He's halfway there already if his training regiment is to not actually look at the ball.
