Pooh Baseball - No other 2013 game will make you rage this hard.

I got all the way through to Owl, but now I need a break and possibly a stiff scotch.

It was satisfying to staret picking Rabbit's physics-defying zooters. But I'm terrified of what's to come.

Don't know if I'm teaching the veterans to suck eggs, but I've found the trick is to essentially ignore Pooh completely and just click when the ball hits the green dot on the bat. 75% of the time, it works every time.

Actually, you may be on to something here. After I started holding down the mouse button during swings instead of just clicking, my success rate went through the roof.

In 20 years that dude is going to win a World Series by pitching three fucking no-hitters.

I got to...I think Mr Owl? before I got bored. I actually thought the physics that keyed off the timing of the swing weren't bad. i.e. swinging early you got these crazy foul balls, or if the ball was in on your hands, you'd shank it back to the left. Pretty neat.

First attempt on The Dark Lord: 23/40. The damnable thing is, one of his meanest pitches is just the plain old Eeyore/Lumpy fastball. With all the other things he can do to you, you're spending the first quarter-second figuring out what kind of ball it is, and since he throws it so much faster than the others, half the time you end up swinging late and shanking it or missing it altogether. I'm almost relieved to see the ball vanish.

Apparently The Police have an extremely deleterious effect on my batting ability: I played a match against Christopher Robin with a song playing in the background for the first half--hit 4 before the song ended, 16 after.

In reference to the title of this thread, after taking something like three or four tries to beat the donkey and managing to consistently knock the elephant's shots into the river (0 points!), I skipped "rage" and went straight to "hysterical laughter".

22/40 on my first at-bat against the Dark Lord. This should be interesting. I'm so glad I finally skinned his guard-tiger.

I've been trying to get past Tigger for a couple days, now. I've found listening to ridiculously trashy pop music is helpful; the brain-melting properties of each seem to behacancelling each otherahaout, ahaHAand I'm doing just fine.HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAOHGOD

Have to get better at the owl balls and fastballs. Those things are killer. I'm probably never going to achieve 80% success on the owl balls so I have to get better at everything else to compensate.

Boosting the hit power helped me with Owl (very easy to hit his throws in a way that results in short flight, so the extra power can make them still count)

Quick -- Does anyone know if the Pixelated Hundred-Acre Owl is endangered? Because I may have done something in an amaretto-fueled rage.
