So Sony's got their PS Vita bundles for $199 for Black Friday, and games like Assassin's Creed III:Liberation and Persona 4 Golden, coupled with the addition of PS+, are really getting me close to my tipping point. On the other hand, the improvements of the 3DS XL (bigger screens, better battery life) coupled with its larger game library and backwards compatibility with my existing DSi XL game library makes it attractive. I haven't seen any holiday specials for the 3DS XL, though, which is poor compared to the special pricing of the Vita. Of the two, it feels like the 3DS will have longer legs and more support, but the Vita's tech edge is not insubstantial. Argh, what say you, BF'ers? Spring for a Vita holiday bundle or wait for a hopeful 3DS XL deal down the road?
The Vita is a really cool piece of hardware which no one is actually developing for; go for the 3DS. Pick the Vita and whatever games strike your fancy up later on, when it's cheaper.
