So how do you explain how different your drawing was from my drawing?

    Magic, I tell you. MAGIC!!
  5. Hanzii Magister Mundi Elyscape

What drawing? I just get questions.

Ah, I failed the simplest test.

    Nifty.
  8. Carnifex Hard Cider Gal

WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED THERE? It guessed my drawing exactly :(
Fuck you, Byzantium! I'm a fucking AI researcher and I didn't see that one coming.

    Very nicely done.

well I did the first test thing, gave me some nonsense about top 20percent. Then when I tried to continue my adblocker futzed it. And it wanted me to log in to reddit or facebook. Neither of those I have. This is the sort of thing that TSW was doing pre launch though.

The percentages keep narrowing, it's part of the marketing and has no validity whatsoever. You are not part of the top 20%. There's no need to log on to any other site, just click 'continue anonymously' which is an option right below the social networking options.

    It's worth it.

From the responses following this I wish I'd finished it, though I stopped after test 3 which not only was I not sure what I was doing, but so far as I could tell did nothing and I played with a slider for no reason. Second test seems to be based on speed alone. I liked the first test though, weird but fun, though I wouldn't be surprised if the text at the end is entirely random.

EDIT: And I did finish it. Nifty.

Is that real? Please tell me it's a parody site because otherwise they are too stupid to breed.

(I'm on my tablet with a noisy tween in the room so I had to exit out quickly)

    Ghosts of History.

This morning's distraction: fonts and typefaces used in Dungeons & Dragons from OD&D-3.5.

I was amused that Basic D&D used Futura and later Helvetica - goddamn hipsters!, I thought - then I wondered if it wasn't their use in the 70s/80s that ingrained them in the nerd/hipster consciousness.

I've got copies of the original and revised edition AD&D manuals at home, and I was just relating how awesome the original layouts were with the Friz Quadrata Bold headers in blue, clean text layouts, etc.

It's possible that no one else will find this funny, but...

On a recent episode of How Did This Get Made, Paul Scheer interviewed Human Giant-cofounder Jason Woliner about his new business, Jeshirt.com, a site where you can go to get pictures of Jay Leno's face superimposed over the iconic image of Che Guevara. Reading his tumblr sets you off on his adventure in small business, personal failure, drug dealing, fleeing from the law and possibly murder.

Tumblrs aren't as good as a lot of blog software, so there's no easy way to read it chronologically. So on the above link scroll all the way down and just read up.

This whole thing has been some of the funniest stuff I've read all week. And hell, if you look at the shirt and actually want one, they're apparently available at rock bottom prices.

It was a pretty funny story but once Leonard showed up it became to crazy to be believable. Still well crafted though.

As an aside, how many other professions (other than entertainment) can you think of where the practitioner is so keen to plaster their mug on everything? The consensus in the fair housing advocacy community is that real estate agents market themselves racially.
