Putting some baking soda on the wound helps too, I use it on mouth sores all the time. It stings a bit when you apply it but then stops hurting for a day or two.

I'm beginning to think it might be worth getting up at 8am on a Saturday morning just so I can have some peace while I shop.

There is a much better solution - it's called buying everything online.

That's assuming you're shopping because there's something you want to buy, rather than shopping because you want to go shopping.

If you are considering getting up at 8am to shop, you are not doing it because you want to. :-)

Shopping sucks solo, but when you've got a wingbro it can be awesome. Like I'm taking a really close friend with me as my wingbro when I go jacket shopping this sunday so that I can get her opinion on which jackets make me look boneablest.

We're gonna wander around 5th and then probably head to Brooklyn and after that maybe get drinks and tapas and hit on stuff/fall asleep watching shitty movies. It'll be awesome.

But for computers? Fuck that. Computer stores are like the shittiest unsexiest shopping experience on the planet. I'd rather have it mailed to me.

    I actually know this one!

Thin stripes or subtle patterns draw attention to the cloth, weave, and construction of a suit. Solid colors draw more attention to the drape (how it fits), while thick stripes draw direct attention to the pattern itself, which tends to have a garish effect. Thick stripes as well as large patterns also accentuate any irregularities or asymmetry of the suit. The end result being that solid colors are more classy and formal than thick stripes, and thin stripes are classier (usually) than solids so long as it's not like a polyester pinstripe suit, which defeats the purpose.

None of this, of course, applies to seersucker suits, which are classy-as-fuck if you're from the south and over 80 years old. On anyone else, you look like an extra from The Music Man.

Man, I disagree. I love going tech shopping if and only if I am going somewhere that they will either leave me alone and let me shop in peace or (so very rarely) if they're knowledgeable about the product and not just register jockeys. I love walking into a dimly-lit shop and going "I'm looking for a replacement video card, I want to upgrade from my Radeon 4550, I'd like to stay with AMD, $300 is my price ceiling, and the newest PC games I play came out in 2010." and having the neckbeard behind the counter (never trust a clean-shaven person trying to sell you a computer because they don't know what they're talking about) come back with a number of options or better, more questions.

Shops like that are few and far between these days. Everything is now Best Buy.

So I got back from my interview just a tittle bit ago. It was a group interview but I kind of expected it would be so that's okay.
Not sleeping made it hard to think and concentrate during the process but it always tends to transform me into an oddball gigglefairy. I think this actually worked in my favor today. The interviewers kept talking about how enthusiasm was important and I was all LOL OKAY. Normally my reaction would be ...okay/nervous smile. I'm no good when I first meet people especially in groups in a weird place.
Well, here's hoping I can get this. I really want to go back to college.

Oooooo. Thank you, Prof. Nute. That was a super coolio answer-o.

Although today I was doing Christmas shopping. I just got money through this week and I couldn't guarantee online delivery in time.

It did allow me to buy stuff for myself. Shoes that half fit, sort of. Perfect on my left foot, slightly too small on my right foot. But they're genuine girl shoes bought in a shop that isn't specialising in catering to the monstrous of foot. I think I actually squeed when I got home and was able to try them on.

I have a new laptop! Well, I will have a new laptop once I get in to work tomorrow. It has a functioning keyboard on which all of the keys work! It won't spontaneously combust from overheating! It has a battery that won't short upon being plugged in!

    I'm just a little bit excited. :D

I ordered a new laptop but then newegg was like "nope" and fedex lost it. So now I have a refund on my laptop.

Also they wanted to take like two weeks between them to "process my claim" so I fucking crawled up some assholes and chewed on the organs until magically my claim was processed in a day.

I am risking 1 years worth of luck just to see the Hobbit. Those tickets must exist. *holes in eyes open up*
In other words, I am merging into transformation mode and pity the fate that stands against these wishes.

ETA: Of good, that is. The looming new year is not to be trifled with but it's ~*THE HOBBIT*~ and here I give over gladly. Which I've only done the once. Oh, but this is more risking then allowing a friend the use. In any case, THIS NIGHT IS NOT SAFE AND HABLARGH ETC ETC.

Holiday party for the firm tonight, and my nicest duds look like I bought them off the sale rack at Kohl's years ago. Which is funny, because that's exactly correct. I have spent zero time learning about or appreciating clothing more than "it puts the soft thing on the skin". So took a female New Yorker wingbro with me to Macy's during lunch just now and bought a nice vest and peacoat to spruce up my appearance for tonight though I still have rolled up cuffs and a doesn't-fit-so-well-anymore shirt on. I do wear great shoes though.

I'm a fucking disaster area. 2013 needs to be the year of fixing the outer man.
