I don't think it's terribly controversial to say George had the best solo album of them all - the titanic All Things Must Pass, which I think can stand toe-to-toe with the best of the Beatles catalog. Hell, you could cut down that entire album to just "Isn't It A Pity" and "What Is Life?" and I'd still think it was the best solo album.

I think Ringo is actually quite a good drummer as long as you're willing to recognise he's in no way a typical rock drummer. Listen to some of the grander tracks the Beatles wrote and Ringo performs almost orchestrally. He's less providing a rhythm or beat and much more providing a point for aural attention grabbing.

The best drummer of those days was almost certainly Ginger Baker. And I would make serious arguments that Cream are one of the greatest bands of all time.

Be sure to quote some of your favorite Wings songs to Bill Dungsroman. He loves Wings.

The precise reason I hate Wings. I didn't realize at the time there even was a band called Wings that was McCartney's solo project. So I'd hear their songs on the radio and think GOD DAMN SOME BEATLES SONG SURE SUCK and what do you know, they were all Wings songs.

I kept getting nasty dunning letters from the Province of BC saying I was severely past due on my MSP fees and that if I didn't pay $128 right the fuck now they'd be sending my ass to debtors prison. There was no contact info available to dispute the charges, and the phone number on their website is only in operation every third Wednesday of the Month (but only on leap years) for approximately 45 seconds. So not wanting my credit score to take a huge hit due to some bureaucratic nightmare, I paid the damn bill. Got a cheque today for $128 indicating my plan was now being paid by a different account (NO SHIT! I got a new job back in November and my employer now pays the MSP fees), and thus overpaid.

I found my didgeridoo.

I have a feeling my neighbours wouldn't appreciate me starting to play it at ten to midnight.

Finished draft 1 of our taxes. So far it looks like our effective rate is 10.8%, up from last year's 7%, but our income went up 40% so I guess I can live with that. THANKS OBAMA.
