It was a bad end, which differs from character endings in that it resolves nothing at all. Just so happens that choosing to romance K was the wrong choice this time.
  2. Butterfly's Dream Despondent Fancybear

That must be impossible. We just picked the wrong way to do so. Yup. Next time, we will just have to force him to stay with us.
    Forever~
Okay, maybe next time I'll make some choices which will actually help Sigme survive... Even though he's not as awesome as K and doesn't have a hovercraft...

So, if one person leaves then it's no longer possible for anyone else to go... Did not know that.

Yes, the number nine door only opens once, for nine seconds. It's somewhere in the infodump post, hidden amongst the rabbit puns.

Since the voting was so close this time, I can rewind to the last AB game to choose betray. Or I can start a completely new game, which means we'll be starting from the first set of Chromatic Doors.

Anyway, let's go back and betray him, cause we are such nice people.

Well that happened. Sorry Sigme, I am bad at surviving in life or death situations. What happened robotman? Didn't you want to stay and ride the kiddie ride? :(

I sorta want to betray K now to see what would happen, but I'm fine starting at the beginning too.

I admit, stupid choice. I suppose that's what I get for expecting K to use Earth logic. And also for trying to play Prisoner's Dilemma against an AI, which I have known for over a year that I suck at.

Fire up the time machine, let's take it from the top.

Jumping back to the first set of Chromatic Doors again. To refresh your memories, the options are...

Option A. Go through the magenta door with Luna.
Option B. Go through the yellow door with Tenmyouji.
Option C. Go through the cyan door with Alice.

Ever had one of those moments when someone walks in on you while you have an image of Alice and her lack of shirt on full display on your monitor? That just happened to me. One of the dangers of this thread, I suppose. Anyway, we've jumped back in time to the first set of Chromatic Doors. Everyone is alive again, and hopefully will stay that way. HAHAHAHA.

Team SAP, blasting off in T minus 10 seconds. Any objections?

Last time Luna went through a door with you she ended up dead, Quark. I'm watching you.

Clover's so disappointed that she's smiling. You may recognise this expression from when Alice and Luna's bodies were discovered in the other route. Evidently, Clover has as much range as a certain actress.

As opposed to Alice? You have a shirt.

Give it up, Tenmyoldy. You'll never fit in with the young crowd. Not unless you can pull off a stripper outfit. I'd advise against gluing a giant necklace to your nipples though.

Beyond the cyan door we find a bunch of rooms which turn out to be the crew quarters. With only four rooms it's... not much of a crew, but hey, less rooms for us to look through. Alice and Phi go to search rooms 02 and 04 respectively, leaving Sigme to do the actual work. Thanks, ladies!

The first time I was in this room I didn't think to properly mess with the phone, so now that I'm here again I might as well put it to full use. To start, let's use the internal line and call Phi in room 04.

Phi: Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger.

    Sigma: Oops, sorry, wrong number.

    Phi: Wait! Don't hang up!

    Sigma: What?

    Phi: Um... I forgot.

Phi: Hey, wait! You were the one who called me!

    Sigma: Oh, right.

The phone supposedly cannot call outside, but dialling these numbers work... somehow.

Woman's Voice: Ready for the time of your life, sweetheart? Only $24.95 a minute.

Sigma: Uh, that's a little too rich for my blood, thanks...

If Zero Sr. can afford to lock you all up in such a technologically-advanced facility with a psychotic AI and killer bracelets, I think s/he can afford the rate. You just stay on the line, man.

Jenny: Hello, can I help you?

Sigma: Hey, I got your number on the wall— ...Huh? She hung up...

I know you think I'm like the others before
Who saw your name and number on the wall

Euler: The first examples appeared some time around 9500 BC—a time known as the Egyptian Neolithic period or the New Stone Age—when stone tools shaped by polishing or grinding were becoming common.

Euler: Often they took the form of galettes, with honey concealed inside a wrapped created from ground oats, wheat, rye, or—

    Sigma: Do you ever stop?!

This is the number that never ends
It goes on and on my friends
Some people started reciting it not knowing what it was
And they'll continue reciting it forever just because

Sigma: What in the name of...

Protip. Recall what you had to do for the sudoku game in 999.

I've run out of numbers, so it's time to visit Phi at Good Burger! Also known as room 04. Turns out this room is a little more interesting...

Sigma: By the gods! I never thought I'd see one...!

    Phi: Uh...what?

Sigma: You scratch off the silver part with a coin so you can see the naughty stuff.

Sigma: It's the ultimate in interactive poster technology! What teenage boy doesn't dream of something like this? The excitement! The anticipation! And finally...the reveal!

    Phi: You look pretty excited...

Unfortunately for Sigme, we have nothing to scratch it with. Do none of the characters have nails...? After some more searching we find a toy coin and Sigme's back at the poster faster than a fat kid eats cake.

Sigma: All right you silvery bastard, time to meet your doom!

    Sigma: Let's do this!

    Sigma: Yeeeaaaaaaaaaaaah!

    Phi: Damn you're excited...

Sigma: Hey, don't misunderstand me. I'm just...really anxious to...find a clue in there. Aren't you?

Phi: You want to let me do it, then?

    Sigma: ...

    Phi: ...

Sigma: I-I'm sorry... Please, just let me have this.

Phi: Then get on with it.

Yes, we actually do get to scratch the poster. And by scratch the poster, I mean rub the screen. The screen with a 2D chick in a bikini on it. I feel so dirty.

A tense minute of "oh god I hope no ones sees me doing this" later...

    Sigma: *Wheeze* *Wheeze* *Wheeze*

    Sigma: *Pant* *Pant* *Pant*

Phi: Damn! I look away for a second and you've scratched it all off!

Sigma: Yeah... I noticed some things that might be clues, so I kept going.

Phi: You mean these marks on her arms and legs?

    Sigma: Yeah...

    [more scratching noises]

Phi: Hey! What're you doing?! You've already scratched it all off!

Sigma: No, I'm not done yet! This blue part still needs to go...!

    Phi: ...

    Sigma: ...

Phi: Sigma... I don't think that part's going to come off, no matter how hard you scrape.

After finishing off the rest of the (less perverted) puzzles, it's time to open the safe. Alice and Phi are still in their respective rooms when Sigme returns to room 01 to get the gold file.

    Sigma: Yes! It opened!

    Sigma: ...

Sigma: Man, what good is a victory dance when there's no one there to see it...?

    Sigma: I'm lonely...

If an idiot dances in a room and no one is around to see him, does he make a fool of himself?

Nothing new in the story-relevant safe.

    Map of floor A.

Sun cards for the AB rooms.

More rules full of rabbit puns.

    Onwards!

    Or not.

    Phi: "Meow"?

Sigma: Sorry... It's this sort of...I guess you could call it a tic. I've had it since I was young. I wish I was just kitten, but I can't control it.

Sigma: It's not dangerous, though. You're purrrrfectly fine.

    Alice: Not...dangerous...?

Now all we need is for someone to break out the dog puns and we'll complete the set. Believe it or not, there's actually an explanation for Sigme's, uh, cat problem, found in the gold file we've just swiped from the safe.

And that explanation is that Sigme is a Disney princess.

Team SAP finally exit the crew quarters, do a bit of walking, and then...

Oh hey guys what a surprise I totally did not see this coming.

After unexpectedly taking the elevator down to unpredictably find another set of Chromatic Doors that Sigme unforeseeably tries to open with no luck, we are shocked to find that there are still 2 hours and 6 minutes left until they open. Back to the warehouse we go. But wait!

    New dialogue! Sort of.

Quark why do you look so happy.

Why do you continue to look so happy.

Okay, I understand why Tenmyouji looks so happy. But Quark, you're a kid who still carries lunchboxes on your head. Why do you look so happy?

I don't even know why Tenmyouji and Sigme aren't BFFs already. They can be pervs together.

Tenmyouji, what have you been teaching this kid?

It's not so much the appearance but how he speaks. Zero's VA is what made me favour the English over the Japanese when playing because he sounds that much more insane. He randomly switches from his usual high-pitched voice to sounding like a teenaged girl to having a southern drawl and back again.

John, if you're talking about the spoiler I think you're talking about, I was spoiled on that before I played the game. DIDN'T MAKE IT ANY LESS DEPRESSING.

Back at the warehouse, Zero III is bored since no one has hurried up and died yet to our knowledge, etc. etc. Everyone following this thread knows how the AB game works by now so we don't have to go through all that again. As before, Sigme and Phi enter the leftmost elevator for funsies and not because there's a dead old lady in it.

And... not not because there's a dead old lady inside?

Interesting how Sigme and Phi's roles have switched. In our first run, Phi wasn't surprised to find a body. Now Sigme is surprised to not find a body. Hey, does that mean Sigme gets to be the smart one this time?

    NOPE.

Without a dead old lady to distract him from the glowy screen with the start button, Sigme presses it and effectively locks them both in for forty minutes.

On the other hand, it's a girl and a guy. Alone. For a whooole forty minutes. There's only one thing to do in a situation like that.

Talk about the AB game some more, of course!

Maybe it's because they don't have a mere ten seconds to think about it, but Phi doesn't immediately tell Sigme to betray. Instead, she draws parallels between the AB game and the Prisoner's Dilemma. Sigme, predictably, has never heard of it, so Phi gives him a long-winded example which I cannot be bothered reproducing because unlike Sigme you either a) know what the Prisoner's Dilemma is already or b) have google.

The most adorably ridiculous criminals ever, from the brain of Phi.

She goes on to discuss the whole 'each individual acting for the benefit of the whole group' versus 'everyone looking out for themselves' spiel that most of you have covered pretty well when giving your votes, so I won't cover that either. It'd just be redundant information. That and we know for sure that there are selfish jerkfaces in the group.

Even if things did go a little differently this time, the result is still the same. Phi wants us to choose "betray". She's just employing the K method of logic-ing Sigme into submission.

I think we're straying a little too far from how the events went on in our first run. Let's return to some familiar territory, like being suspicious of each other.
