Ittosai is very samurai-like for a psycopath.

Bo doesn't agree and favours Muneshige's plan.


However the final decision is left up to us. Even though we've been talking tactics for the last few minutes this is still an otome game and not a strategy game. Therefore our decision will be made on ~heart instead of on chess metaphors which have been used to explain Muneshige's plan.

As Muneshige has finally accepted everyone in the group is equal, it's again our choice who acts as our guards, but Sayori can't decide.


It's their job, they understand. But Sayori's hesitation leads to our guard being picked for us.

Probably not but that's what makes it fun! Mon-Mon and Yo are our decoys, and Muneshige and Jin the rear guard.

And that concludes the chapter. Some readers might be wondering why I called it my least favourite. I'll explain.

From this chapter onwards we're properly on route and will be spending more time with our psycho. And it will be interesting, oh yes.

Yeah, I noticed the traps in this chapter too. It's kinda dumb, if you ask me. I mean, having a choice only for you to die with no proper ending.

The first thing I actually saw was the armpit's hair. It's extremely rare in manga style drawings.

I think that's just shading, actually.

EDIT - I looked at it again, and noticed the same color on Bo's forehead. Damn, that's a strange color for shading.

It's tinted yellow, so I had to look twice, too, but it goes way too far down his arms to be hair.

Ittosai's face when he its standing next to Mon-Mon looks so derpy to me.

I can't stop watching this gif. And because my mind needs slightly more mental stimulation I started daydreaming about various pet familiars. There goes 3 minutes of my life.

Playing this game just makes me sad that since Hirameki went under, TwoFive's 2nd game, Koigig, will probably never be translated to English.

From what I understand of the plot, the heroine is playing a song from her favorite band on a keyboard in a store when said band's manager overhears her. It just so happens the band needs a new keyboard player and he drafts her. The catch is, it's an all-guy band, and the female fans would be enraged, apparently, if a girl joined the band, so she has to disguise herself as a guy. The only one who knows she's a girl is the manager; even the other band members don't know. Hijinks ensue, etc., etc.

This was actually my first otome game. I didn't understand otome logic, so after about 8 times failing on this chapter, I finally resorted to using a faq. I learned better.

Even otome logic only helps to a point, since there's absolutely no connection between some of the important choices and the routes they lead to.

If this LP's vote had gone to Yo or Mon-Mon, for instance, we'd have been doomed to a bad end before either of them had ever even appeared in the game.

And there's the "don't say nothing" and "say something" to Muneshige choice.
That isn't even a choice.

Wow. This is really amusing to watch. I'm glad Ittosai was chosen by popular vote because his route is pretty cool. I hope you update soon. ^^

Sorry for not updating for so long! Real life stuff happened, nothing bad just time-consuming. I am back and will probably not post this chapter in one go because it's a long one.

The chapter opens up with us still running as Jin and Muneshige continue fighting in the distance.




While I think it's commonly held that Jin is the "canon" love interest in this game, Sayori and Hatsu both seem to be really into Muneshige, even when not on his route. Just something to think about.


Okay okay we'll shut up.


OTOME PROBABILITY STRIKES AGAIN.


Wait I thought Sayori wasn't wearing shoes?? Why out of all the stuff that happens in this game is the state of her shoes agitating me the most?

I glanced at Yo's face from the side. When I looked carefully, it seemed like he was trying to endure something. When he realized I was looking at him, he smiled brightly.
Everyone's concern for each other makes me kinda soppy because I'm a sucker.

Ittosai then tells us to be quieter in a more angry tone.

But we're more worried about his injury which we noticed was bleeding when we were running. He says it's just a scratch but Sayori wants a look anyway.


He's not into that. Sayori points out that ninjas sometime poison their weapons.


No but we're the daughter of one so give us a look! Wait, wrong samurai game.

Luckily Bo reappears to break up the awkward silence that's followed. As we get up, we get this whispered in our ear.

What was Ittosai trying to say? Did he hate me? Was I a nuisance to him?
It looks like someone's starting to like us enough to worry about hurting us :3
I'm kinda beat so I'll end this update here. Next update: we get to chip away at Ittosai's emotional barriers some more and get some sad feelings for our trouble.

The noises I made were not manly in any way, shape or form. I have no regrets of squealing. Ittosai/Sayori is Bo's OTP, btw.

This, right here, was exactly the moment I fell for Ittosai.

I am not sure what that says about me.

I understand, there's just something about when a character says that kind of stuff that makes me go LET ME LOVE YOU, YOU POOR BROKEN PERSON. Also his VA does sound soft and sad when he says it and he sounds really nice when he's being soft-spoken.
I think I've said it before but I like his route a lot because it was not what I was expecting from how he acts when I was on other people's routes at all. In a good way.

I'm pretty sure I've heard this kind of "I'm not a good man for you" talk in many, many teenage romance books.

But somehow it sounds much better coming from Ittosai.

No, Sofalisa, you cannot love me. I'm not a good hedgehog for you; my spikes will eventually hurt you!
