John, already prepared well in advance with dagger in hand, looks toward Kat, "You gonna play drunk now?"

"Pluy drunk!? Whatchu talkin' bout?" Kat lumbers toward John a hand outstretched.

John simply cricks an eyebrow, "Please."

Aaron approaches from the right to thwart Kat's attack on John only to have Kat flick his hand in Aaron's direction, sending him flying toward the yellowing wall. Kat's attention was only diverted for a moment, but a moment was all John needs to sink the blade in between two of Kat's ribs, into his heart. Kat screams taking the knife from his chest, sparks of many colors come out with the dagger, spraying the entire room. After the light show ends everyone realizes that Kat's body is gone, but the room and all it's occupants are colored in the technicolor rainbow of soot left behind.

Before entering the TV room everyone eyes each other outside the space realizing Tome is missing. They run to her apartment but before they can enter they notice Tome is there, staked to the door with a wooden spike. Her head lays to the side, her eyes closed, almost peacefully.

Tome Van Helsing is dead.

The survivors bring her down and take her to the incinerator before heading back to the all too familiar communal TV room to talk about their plans again.

OK - Tomorrow is going to be a busy day for me, so it will probably be tomorrow evening by the time I can close the lynch, that gives you guys plenty of time to dig for information.

Well, I was originally thinking John must have then the suborned townie. I was thinking the monsters couldn't resist a judge, but the the mod mentioned there were 6 of us left and I realised that Jordon was still with us, but was being very quiet. John was the first to vot for Kat, and Jordon was the last, and seemed reluctant to do so to boot.

So currently I am tending to think of voting for Jordon, but I am hoping Aaron has some news. I thought it was odd the monster took out van helsing, when surely Aaron is the one who could detect it?

Makes a certain amount of fuckin sense to me, actually. Tome went after the monsters after they turned... whoever they fuckin' turned, right? So everyone woulda known that she wasn't the new monster.

I don't even know what kinda fuckin monster we've got now, or if I could even suss it out. Fuckin' went zero for fukin' two on Ozzo and Anabanana even though they were evil as fuck-all, so who knows if this new critter is another like that?

Thinkin bout it, the strongest move for the monster fucks woulda been to try for the Judge, right? Flip him and he can break a tie in their favor.

Course, I'm sure they knew we know that, and they might bank on us killin' him. Fuck, I dunno.

To be fair, Aaron, the one time I actually made a tie-breaker in this game, I killed the nurse.

They might just be relying on the fact I'm really bad at these games and gone for a different target.

More I fuckin' think of it, more I think Gryff has a point. If they knew that I wouldn't be able to find the new fuckin' monster, they could just kill off Tome - who people had some fuckin trust in, y'know? - and even hope I investigated the fuckface they turned, for more trust. Did you check Jordon last night? I can't see the mod making the new monster a vamp, that seems rediculous. I presumed the monster would be a generic acme model, and checkable by you.

I did fuckin check Jordan last night, but I got the same fuckin results as when I checked Anabanana... which were diffrent from when I fuckin checked you.

Hey, I just got here. I had a long tutor session. Anyway, I don't have an excuse for being quiet. That was just me being unfocused and coming in just to check what has happened. I'm with Gryff in that the new monster wouldn't be a vampire. That would be uncalled for to have two monsters who can't be discerned by the hunter.

AaronSofaer, could I ask exactly what results you got when you checked me? And how exactly they were different from anybody else?

I was asked for a rule clarification. The "turned" monster is a normal monster, not a vampire.

Also, since there are four of us, that means if we lynch a townie... then it's game over? I have no doubt at this point that Aaron is the Monster Hunter and that he's human. Otherwise, he would have just lied and said I was a monster without hesitation.

Gryff was early to vote for Ana, the Vampire, so unless he was sure Ana was doomed, I wanna say that's proof that he's human. But I don't get why he was silenced that second time. At all. If a judge (assuming he is one) is silenced, does that render his ability moot? Hey wait! I do have a defense! I was the first to vote for Ana. Yeah it was a deadline vote and I kinda just quickly sided with Aaron on that but hey. I could have just held off my vote.
I have no idea what to think of JohnStargazer, he was the last to vote for Ana, but I was the last to vote for Kat so I can't exactly use that against him.

I... really don't know why the monster would go after Tome instead of Aaron. I mean, we had already sorta established he was the hunter, and clearly he was the bigger threat to them? I suppose the monster was sure that Aaron would have zero reason to check on him. Does that count me out?

Well actually, Gryff asked whether a townie losses his ability when they become a monster and I don't think we ever got any confirmation on that. Whether they picked the Vigilante or the Judge, does it really matter?

Aaron is undoubtedly still human, for the reasons I stated above and because the was the sole reason Kat was lynched.
I say I'm human because Aaron checked me and... that's all I got for now.

JohnStargazer was the first to vote for Kat after Manis accused her. We still weren't sure if Manis was the monster or not, in fact, some people (admittedly myself) pointed out that it was kinda odd that they didn't convert the watcher. This points to him being human. Of course, with Aaron revealed as the Monster Hunter, he could have known Kat would be figured out the next day.... I bet Kat really wished she didn't silence Aaron the day before.

Gryff on the other hand, he was one of the people to vote for Ana, after Tome admited to being the Van Helsing and after two votes from me and Aaron, but it was more of a "That makes sense" kind of vote and Ana did not put up much of a good defense. He would have reason to believe Ana was screwed. There was also his second silencing the day before. If he was the monster, Kat must've done it to remove make sure he wasn't suspected as her last act. If not, it was just because he was the most verbose the previous day and she figured she should silence somebody if she couldn't do it to Aaron. Honestly, either is possible in my opinion.

Heh, you know I just realised, I got lynched on the first day, and then survived to the last day. I really am a lucky bastard. Now if my luck can get the townies to win, that'd just be awesome.

Well, I am not the monster, and since the mod clarified about the monsters detection as I asked, it must be either John if Aaron told the truth about Jordons test, or Aaron. We have time to test this theory. We lynch John today (as I tend to think Aaron is still townie) and if he is not the monster then it must be Aaron. Aaron can test me again tonight, but if it is Aaron this will be self defeating as you couldn't trust the results :/

To clarify, it was I that outed Johns role by the process of elimination (i.e. I am the vigilante).

Actually, I just counted the numbers again. This lynch is the last one of the game, either we get the monster or we lose. It doesn't change my vote, as I had thought John was the most likely before I asked whether the new monster could be detected, but I was worried by Aaron mentioning the message was different. I still think Aaron is good enough to pull off the monster reversal if he was taken, but there is no way to check it at this late stage, so I guess he will deserve the win if this is the case.
