"Yeah, but you still voted to lynch Gryff. It seemed clear he's a townie. Surprised me he only got silenced."

Back still turned to Aaron, Ryutaro takes another long drag on his cigarette.

"Say, Kat voted for Gryff after you, too."

When the fuck did I do that? I voted for fuckin jordan because he wanted to not do a fuckin thing. Didn't vote to lynch Gryff.

Ryutaro flicks the butt of his cigarette into an ashtray, one hand already reaching for his pack.

    "Augh...out already..."

He slams the window shut as he turns to the doorway.

"Anabanana, you've got a point. I'm out of smokes, though. I'm gonna go grab some more."

    Deadline vote: AaronSofaer.
  7. AaronSofaer Magister Mundi Elyscape

That deadline vote was when we Jacquelle and Gryff were fuckin' tied. And if you wouldn't I rather vote for Gryff than Jacquelle when they were tied, fuck you and the bloodsucker you rode the fuck in on.
  8. AaronSofaer Magister Mundi Elyscape

    "was when", not was-when-fuckin-we.
  9. Ozzo Noticed By Drunken Admin

Ryutaro pauses in the doorway, turning his head to glance at Aaron out of the corner of one eye.

"You switched from jordan to Gryff. They both had two votes until then."
  10. AaronSofaer Magister Mundi Elyscape

Yeah, fuckhead, and then Gryff had three and jordan only one. I was willing to switch my vote to fuckin Gryff so that the girl didn't get knifed. Didn't really care that much which of Gryff or jordan got knifed, compared to the need for the girl not to get knifed, y'know? Didn't particularly think Gryff was a monster, but didn't particularly think jordan was a monster; he coulda, was, just a chuckleheaded guy with a "nice" complex. World doesn't run on fuckin nice, it runs on getting somethin fuckin done.

Like making sure the girl doesn't get fuckin knifed.

"Yeah, from the most suspicious guy to the likely townie. That would have saved a townie."

Ryutaro shakes his head, turning back away from Aaron.

"Enough, I'm itching to light up."

Gryff points at maniskumquat and raises his hand.
  13. AaronSofaer Magister Mundi Elyscape

Yeah, clearly I should have fucking let Jacquelle stay with the highest number of votes.

Fuckhead. Go light up, won't make you any smarter.

    Something I just noticed:

We'll come back to this tomorrow. But we didn't, because SoundlyParanoid is dead, despite barely posting at all. There's no way the monsters could have known they had such an important role.

Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe it was another way of suppressing discussion, maybe they picked a name out of a hat and got lucky. But I still think it's worth further exploring the connection to KWhit.

  17. Matthew Schempp This Is SEWIOUS

John? I really feel like you should respond and say something. Time is very short, and we should lynch somebody today.

My goodness, we only have seven votes out there right now. That's 5 votes missing! I feel like there's probably one or two monsters in there.

Here, I'll even unvote JohnStargazer. Right now, I'm mostly interested to hear from KWhit, maniskumquat, and JohnStargazer. I'll make my decision after we hear from them. Kat and especially jordantigers need to vote, as well. Especially jordan, it is peculiar you've been so quiet. We know your motivations are clear, why not try to help us get to the bottom of this?
  18. Kat Keeper of the Elemental Materials

I dunno abut ya, bu I aintet made my mind *hick* up just yet. Them thought aint flowing like the liquer does hehe
  19. KWhit This Is SEWIOUS

I really dislike the mechanic that we have to have a majority to lynch. The way I've played before, we only had to have a plurality. The way this game is now, I almost have to go with one of the people who already has a couple of votes. Otherwise, we risk a no-lynch.

And of course, this allows the monsters a chance to sway the vote even more if they get an early vote or two out there on a townie.

    I don't like it.

I want to vote for John again, but I fear he won't get enough votes to matter.

Hell, why not try and see what happens between now and deadline. I'll check back in to see where we are.

    Vote John Stargazer

Sorry sorry, I've been busy with important matters like watching the idolmaster anime all day >_> so I've just been coming in and out without saying much. Like Kat I haven't made my mind yet. The people who have been voted to be lynched haven't defended themselves yet save for Aaron, sorta. I'm gonna wait a little long. And just so you know, it's already nighttime here.

Well, this is inspiring. Guess the judge is going to make the decision, isn't he? That means no vig kill, no discussion, and the judge now becomes a target. Really, just well done. Vote Johnstargazer. I gave you plenty of time to do something. You're on my suspicious list.
  23. JohnStargazer Already Beat BF's New Expansion

Alright, first off, I woke up all of five minutes ago.

Secondly, I don't really see anything to argue against. Your accusation is that the person who voted against the person who voted for me at random is dead. That's not an accusation, that's a six degrees of separation game. I'm not holding any kind of grudge for KWhit randomly choosing my name out of a hat when she started targeting quiet people, and even if I were that would be a bad way to try and get revenge, because I'd be relying on people being spotting extremely tentative connections.

The other half of your argument is a flippant comment I made about the way we handled the last accusation, which has also proven to largely be how we're handling this one. So, yes, clearly I am a vile monster because I've acknowledged that a lot of what we're doing early in the game is random guessing. Congratulations, well done, you saw right through my disguise. Now can you stop tagging me every five seconds?

Now, to address actual arguments, I have to admit I'm still not entirely sold on Gryff as town, but as Jacquelle noted, accusing anyone who has been rendered incapable of defending themselves would be wrong. Currently that leaves the strongest contenders as Aaron, on the basis of his voting for Gryff (assuming Gryff is a townie and ignoring that an awful lot of us were doing that at first) and Tome-chan, on the basis of her being suspiciously nice and RPing too much.

Given the options, I guess I'll Vote Aaron.
  24. maniskumquat Already Beat BF's New Expansion

Sore spot? Then again, I did kind of throw everything up in the air.

All of the townies left have pretty informative roles, so there's a big chance that we're going to lynch someone important. I think we should be figuring out who the dark acolyte is, but well, it's a bit late for that.
I agree with Matthew's logic so I will deadline vote Johnstargazer. The odds aren't good, and I'm also suspicious of people who have only put up fluff posts. Then again, maybe they don't know what to do so they're just posting for the day requirement. I know how that feels. >_>

I'll try to stick around so I can change my vote, so we don't end up with a no lynch.
  25. maniskumquat Already Beat BF's New Expansion

And of course we post at the same time.

Unvote Johnstargazer, I need to think about this.

Ugh. Since I'm sure anything and everything interesting will happen once I'm not offline and my chances of survival are, well, shaky. I'm just gonna throw in all my cents.
There's really no way the monster had anyway to discern anybody's role yet, so I'm sure our doctor biting the dust was just really a unlucky (or lucky depending on who's side you are on) chance.

The idea that the one who silenced Gryff was someone her put suspicion on is kinda iffy for me, cause the people who did eventually got suspicion off their back one way or another. Well, in the case of Anabanana, attention kinda just drifted off, but then rhe was the one who said silencing Gryff didn't make much sense.
I do think that the idea the witch silenced a fellow monster is possible, like Anabanana said. And now that I think about it, Gryff said his abilities at the time were the least useful. Now that the Lucky Bastard and the Innocent Child are out. The only real possibilty is either the Nurse or the Judge (maybe the Vigilante). I guess what I'm saying is... choosing to lynch Gryff would not be a completely bad idea, but I think doing so today, when he's silenced would be assuming too much... so if he's still alive after the next night, I would definitely be looking in his general direction.

As for everyone else... I have no idea. If I were to just accuse someone at this very moment, I don't think they'd be able to defend themselves with much else then "I barely said anything!" In fact, I'm really not sure why Gryff is voting for maniskumquat. I can't really expect her to put up much of an argument against a silenced person's accusation.

Seriously, this is all the info we've got? It's 1:41 AM here already >_>
  27. JohnStargazer Already Beat BF's New Expansion

If I'm interpreting correctly from his quoted posts and the hand gestures, he's accusing her because of her comments suggesting he might be a monster who has been silenced as a bluff to make us think he's town.
  28. Matthew Schempp This Is SEWIOUS

John, I tagged you twice in an eight hour period. That's nothing to get upset about.

We literally have ten minutes left. Can we get a vote total?
  29. Ozzo Noticed By Drunken Admin

Footsteps echo from down the hall before Ryutaro re-emerges.

"Yeah, glad I bought a few cartons yesterday."

"Letting cleared innocents survive is the worst situation for monsters. Gryff seemed townie to me. Like I said, I am surprised he was only silenced."
  30. Ozzo Noticed By Drunken Admin

"Jeez, at least finish the one you bummed off me, fancy man."

    Ryutaro rubs his temples exasperatedly.

    "We've got two more hours."
  31. Hmm, I'm not sure if I get Gryff's rationale for voting maniskumquat from these posts.

Is it because these posts are all talking from the monsters' perspectives? The most scummy thing I can see about them is that a lot of it is just WIFOM. Generally though, maniskumquat hasn't been really posting a lot. Voted Jacquelle yesterday for a joke/shallow reason (just because she talks a lot? huh?), and apart from that, she hasn't contributed much. Definitely a candidate I would consider voting for, but perhaps I'd like a bit more time to see how she behaves after being accused.

EDIT: Aaaaand she ends up posting while I'm writing this, and surprise, surprise, there's not much of a defense worth speaking of. Hmph. I'll let it slide for now. Bigger fish to fry and all that. Also it's probably hard to defend yourself when the person accusing you can't actually make arguments against you.

Welp, I just put these two things together and realized something: no matter what, framing X by killing off somebody who's accused X is a tactic that makes sense if there haven't been any confirmed innocents. But there were confirmed innocents yesterday. Two of them, in fact. I don't know if the benefits you get by people potentially becoming suspicious of X are worth NOT killing a confirmed innocent. (I mean, look at us, none of us are suspecting KWhit at all, precisely because he was implicated in soundlyParanoid's killing!)

The Night 1 kill only makes sense if there was a reason that made it absolutely necessary for the monsters to kill off soundlyParanoid. Not advantageous, necessary. And right now, it looks like the most likely reason is his threat to go after KWhit today.

You know what? I'm going to follow Jacquelle's lead here. She's one of two confirmed townies, so we know for certain that her arguments aren't made with any ulterior motive in mind, which is more than can be said for any of us.

    Unvote: Tome-chan
    Deadline vote: KWhit

What's your reason to vote for John? Do you think Matthew Schempp is right, in that John wanted to make you look suspicious since you voted for him yesterday? Or is it just because he's quiet? We have a lot of quiet/fluff-posting candidates this round, unfortunately.

EDIT: That was a pretty solid defense from John, so I don't think I'll be voting for him yet as of right now. Not quite sure why voting for Gryff makes Aaron scummy though. Pretty sure that was just to prevent a Jacquelle-lynch/no-lynch. Also plenty of other people were doing the same thing.

And what the fuck, we only have ten minutes left?! SHIT. I'll switch my vote to whoever has the most votes to prevent a no-lynch. SHIT FUCK SHIT.

  35. Goddamnit, Matthew Schempp.

I'm surprised he's not voting for me then. I went on quite a bit about how it's possible he's scum too.

Gryff isn't a confirmed innocent though. He SEEMS townie, but that's nothing compared to Jacquelle and jordantigers who are 100% mod-guaranteed innocent for sure. That's why I changed my vote for KWhit, there's no other way that last night kill makes sense.
  36. Pretty sure the judge isn't outed if they have to break a no-lynch/tie.
  37. JohnStargazer Already Beat BF's New Expansion

And I know I'm not the ref, but I think Gertrude's either busy or still asleep, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I think votes stand at:

    Tome - Aaron, Jacq
    Aaron - Tome, John, Aaron
    John - Matt, KWhit
    Manis - Gryff
    KWhit - Ana

(Jacquelle commented on KWhit being suspicious but didn't change her vote, AFAICT)

That said, and even though I can't do it without looking like scum, I follow Ana's logic and it's a better stand on anyone that we had with Tome or Aaron.

    Unvote Aaron. Vote KWhit.
