That is definitely relevant to my interests.
"Buzz" Aldrin? They totally ripped off Toy Story. Lame.
Also that movie, the Right Stuff.
Hey bitches, please my first let's play video covering TIE Fighter:
Or don't, see if I fucking care. ;)
Why are you always so mean to us?!
Because I love you sick fucks. ;-)
And we sickly love you back, you grizzly old spacehound you.
Yaaaaay! Group hug!
It's a trap! He's going for all the FEELS!
<get your hand off my ass>
But it's so FIRM...
Well then, sir, please take one (1) TIE Interceptor, and show us all how a hotshot pilot can clear a minefield.
Not at that mission yet. ;)
dude please for fucks' sake press the x button to link your guns. you need to four-shot them a-wings shotgun style. also try fiddling with the laser recharge a little more. turn it all the way down if you need to get somewhere, then recharge all out once you need to get your pew on. god i miss the game. someone kickstart a 1on1 remake of that thing.
Got it, I'm relearning. :) It's a journey.
Hey guys, this is really exciting! I was able to sit down on Skype with two of the leads of the Rules of Engagement games and talk to 'em for an hour about the Universe and RoE games from Onnitrend. I had a lot of fun recording this, and I hope you enjoy my first ever audio interview:
Thanks! (See, I can be nice!) ;)
That is ... Actually kind of awesome. BREACH was the first Amiga game I ever bought.
Oh wow, very cool! :) And thank you, high praise indeed. :)
Nice, I'm looking forward to listening to this. I loved the Universe and Breach games (other than Breach 3, which does not exist).
Yaaaay! I hope you enjoy it. :)
Hey guys, my site has a podcast now, but it was really
aszurom who came up with the idea! ;)
Do you have a separate rss feed for the 'cast?
Oh, yes, I do, sorry, I should make a note of that somewhere. :)
Man if you could interview the Kerbal guys it would be awesome!
Or you could interview me and
Calistas about Kerbal and it would be slightly less awesome.
Hah, one thing at a time. :) Sounds like fun though!
K, I sent a request, I'll let'cha know what happens. :)
OMG YOU GUYS! Someone finally was able to put the much-requested -- and amazing -- Rules of Engagement 2 manual online!
Hey guys, please enjoy my fourth installment in my Let's Play TIE Fighter series! Wheee!
These are so much fun to make, I might do all reviews/previews in video form.
I know one of the guys who worked on RoE2 - Chris Foster. He was a senior designer at Turbine back in the day. He's currently at Harmonix, where he was lead designer on The Beatles Rock Band. I think he said he did some UI design on RoE (and according to the manual, the manual). I still run into him at PAX East.
That is AWESOME. :)
Hey guys, wanna see me make an ass of myself as I embarrassingly flail about in Kerbal Space Program? Good, because I've started a series of let's play videos detailing my journey learning the game:
I hope y'all enjoy it. :)
Hey folks, I could honestly use some opinions here. I'm thinking of switching to an all-video format for my reviews and previews, and I'm trying to gauge user feedback, so I opened a poll:
If y'all could vote on how you feel about the idea, I'd honestly appreciate it. Thanks folks. :)
Will watch when I get home!
Done. Text for me, although I'm cool with a balance as well. I just read faster is all; although the one? I think video I watched on your sight was good. Distant Worlds would probably work better as a video (although with editing), as the UI and what you actually DO in a game is a puzzle to me - but something like a space shooter would work better in text, since it's obvious how that works and you could focus on highlights.
So yeah, text or a mix, as appropriate. :)
Also, yay on KSP. Are you glad we pushed you into that? :P
Yeah, I'm thinking a balance between text and video, chosen on a game-by-game basis, might be best for everyone. And yay KSP! It hates me, but I love it.
I voted text, for the reasons of personal practicality. Text allows me to proceed at my own pace. I read pretty fast - far faster than a video. If I have five minutes, I can read something in five minutes. If I have five minutes and a video is ten minutes long, I don't watch it at all. If I need to walk away for a while, I can quickly skim stuff I've already read to bring me back up to speed. With a video, I ave to watch it again from the beginning or resign myself to the possibility of forgetting something. I can read in stolen moments at work and home, while a video monopolizes my attention by requiring eyes and ears. I know there are people (usually artists, in my experience) who can have videos running while they work, but I can't - they distract me.
I'm much more likely to start - and finish - a text review than a video one.
Excellent and honest answer, exactly what I'm looking for. Would you be okay if I balanced it out, some games being covered in video, some in text?
More TIE Fighter bitches!
Hey guys, new review, this time of Aeon Command!
I hope y'all enjoy it, and thanks! :)
Brian Rubin OMG! Egghead Software! I loved that place!
Yessssss, I spent so much time in there, but not as much money since their prices were ridic. They eventually closed and a Stop N' Save Software moved in, and GOD did I love them.
