Both of these are the same price on Gamefly, plus there's a 20% off coupon. Not sure if either activates on Steam, though, if that's a big deal to you.
Anno 2070 doesn't activate on steam. I have the boxed version which sucks right now because I can't make use of the Steam deal for the expansion. :( I'm almost thinking of rebuying the game on Steam, too. Almost.
I doubt that there's anyone that hasn't played them at this point, but Portal + Portal 2 for $6.24 is a pretty damn good deal.
Steam loses another sale to Amazon for DS. it's really the sort of game that will brutalize me, but one's BF status seems probationary without it.
Owning the game on one platform grants you probationary status. You need to own it on at least two to be a real member. ;)
Too much for The Walking Dead, I wanted it for $5. What I really wanted was to buy 1 'season' to try it, but that does not seem possible. Oh, well, that's fine.
It's a fantastic game. If you like building cities, setting up trade routes, and managing population needs this is something you can and will lose yourself in for hours and hours. It also looks pretty damn spectacular when it wants to.
Oh? Where does one get this 20% off coupon? Edit: Oh, boo. I tried the HOLIDAY20 code and it says it expired yesterday.
Dead Island is pretty fantastic for $6.79; I am liking it a lot! Did most of you play with random people hopping in and out of your games? I turned that off; I'd rather play with friends.
From the game's listing in iTunes: **NOTE: Compatible with iPad 2 and up, and iPhone 4 and up - WILL NOT RUN ON EARLIER DEVICES** I played co-op with two friends (MrPants played the part of Other Angry Guy). I prefer to dispatch zombies with people I know.
I am the only person in the world that hasn't played Portal 2, I think. $5 is an okay price for it. I also went ahead and bought Universe Sandbox while it was on sale. It's a nifty little toy, but not sure how much use I'll get out of it.
Yeah, sorry. The first place I heard about it said it was good until the 24th. Apparently that was wrong. I used it yesterday for xcom.
8.5 hours left in the newest flash deals. Still no Dark Souls! Binary Domain $6.24 (75% off). Also known as 01100010 01101001 01101110 01100001 01110010 01111001 0100000 01100100 01101111 01101101 01100001 01101001 01101110. Mount & Blade Collection $8.74 (75% off). Includes four titles, mounts and and blades. Killing Floor $4.99 (75% off) or with a pile of DLC for $9.99.
I haven't had the best experience with Telltale Games... Is The Walking Dead worth it? Or would I get as much enjoyment simply from watching an LP on Youtube?
The atmosphere felt to me to be best suited alone, and that's how I finished it. Unlike Borderlands which seems well suited to shenanigans and overkill, the whole "one person against all the zombies" thing would seem to be rather undermined by the presence of others. Great game. Except the ending. :P
Latest flash deals with just under 12 hours to go as I post this: Sniper Elite $12.49 (75% off). For when regular sniping is insufficient. Death Rally $4.99 (50% off). Also known as the L.A. commute. Two Worlds II $7.49 (74% off). DLC is also 75% off.
Looking at Dead Island, Dawnguard (probably will hold of on this for a while) and definitely, finally getting Portal. Yes, I'm the only person in the world who hasn't played it. Also, Civ V: g&k is 50% right now. What are the chances that it will go to 60-75% during this sale?
I'd hold off on Dawnguard for a while. They had it at 50% off a month ago, I'd imagine they'd at least match the price.
Got Sniper Elite V2 and Dead Island. Sniper Elite because I've also enjoyed sniper rifles in single player FPS and Dead Island on the strength of recommendations this thread (and cheapness!) Not biting on Anno 2070, due to regional pricing shenanigans. I'm slightly tempted by carrier command, bit I really think that needs to be a $20 game on 50% off or more before I bite.
Even though I own both Saints Row the Third (on the 360) and Knights of the Old Republic 2 (on PC DVD) I re-bought them for $7.50 and $5, respectively. Saints Row the Third includes all of the DLCs.
I agree, Bethesda usually has the TES games in either a Daily Deal or a Flash Sale. It's likely to go at 50% or even 66% (one can hope, right?) off at some point in the next few days.
Sniper Elite V2 is fun because you can line up a shot, fire, and then SLOWMO BULLETCAM as the round races over and powers into the guy's right eyebrow, scrambles the brains a bit, breaks out the other side, flies into the chest of the guy standing right behind him, performs an amateur splenectomy, bursts through the skin, and finally impacts with the grenade on another guy's belt, causing it to detonate, because fuck the Nazis.
Skyrim and Oblivion are hidden Flash sales: http://store.steampowered.com/app/72850/ http://store.steampowered.com/app/22330/
They also have Rise of Flight: Iron Cross Edition for $8. EDIT: I can also verify that although Scribblenauts looks like it's just an Amazon download, it registers just fine on Steam.
Anyone know how the co-op works on Lego LotR for PC? I want to know if two people can play on the same PC with two controllers, like you could on Wii or similar. (ie me and the eldest child)
Flash deals for December 24th below. Still no Dark Souls. I'm never trusting Baker's buying habits again! Expire in ~5 hours: Half-Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax Ultimate Boy $3.39 (66% off). EDIT: Corrected to full title, which adds 50% more value. Arma II $14.99 (50% off). Includes Operation Arrowhead. They Bleed Pixels $2.49 (75% off). Pixelated platformer. Again. Expire in ~11 hours: Half-Life Complete $9.99 (75% off). Includes the DLC where Gordon Freeman actually speaks. Haha, just kidding. Universe Sandbox $2.49 (75% off). For those times when you've wanted to make galaxies collide. Elder Scrolls games. This includes: Skyrim $29.79 (50% off) Danwguard DLC $9.92 (50% off) Hearthfire DLC $2.47 (50% off) Oblivion GOTY Edition $4.99 (75% off) Morrowind GOTY Edition $4.99 (75% off)
