In which we discuss what games we'd love to see someone LP!

(Possibly also relevant: those games you are totally going to LP as soon as you're finished with the three LPs you've already got going on.)

EDIT: Sedrine made a list of LP requests!

I would love a Recettear LP, because that game is all kinds of adorable and fun. It's a shame the one that got started here was abandoned.
  3. Donmai Hatoful Pigeon

I'd love to see what democracy would decide for Choice of the Vampire! So many choices and so many ways to play the character~ Fairly long, though, and not exactly what the LP forum is used to, but still lots of fun!

I'd like to see someone LP the first Summon Night: Swordcraft Story game. I think the forum would like it.
  5. IchigoNeko Already Beat BF's New Expansion

Um, maybe a Mass Effect LP? That might be interesting.

Also if someone with good Japanese skills would do a LP of a Sakura Taisen game (1-4) I'd love it. Or maybe an English playthrough of V...
  6. Ozzo Hatoful Pigeon

Choice of the Vampire doesn't take several branch points into consideration though. I came out of the game feeling the developers just didn't finish some of the plotlines.
  7. Jacquelle Hatoful Pigeon

I'd love for someone who was good at narrative LPs to do Cute Knight or Cute Knight Kingdom.

Also, more Zelda LPs. If someone LPs Ocarina of Time I will pledge my undying love to them.

I want to LP Sailor Moon: Another Story, but honestly, I'm not sure I'm up to it because I suck at RPGs so bad. *sob sob sob* I'm totally up for making all the Sailor Moon references though. I WILL EXPLAIN EVERY JOKE AND INCONSISTENCY WITHIN THE SERIES. IT WILL BE AMAZING.

Also, I think it would be hilarious if someone LPed Magical Starsign, just to troll the forum. That game is so messed up, and yet it looks all safe and cartoony. To put things in perspective, it was made by the same people who created Mother 3.

I'd do it myself but my laptop can't properly emulate DS games.

I should really dig up my copy of Magical Starsign and actually finish playing it someday. I never got very far in. I only remember 'silly', not 'messed up'!

You know, I have Recettear and I considered LPing it... but the thing is I didn't finish the game myself because it gets so stressful on the last in-game weeks... the amount of cash to obtain becomes so high that you can't waste a single second and it's so hard to obtain a lot of money, and I was going crazy so I stopped playing it @____@
Yeah I don't react well to games with strict deadlines (I also hate games that asks you to do things in a limited amount of time)

Anyway, I've been thinking for a while to LP To the Moon, that is a very beautiful game... but I think that a forum LP wouldn't be enough to "feel" the game, and a streaming would be more fit... so yeah if I'm ever able to stream that's the game I'm gonna play.

Oh it starts out quite silly. What part did you get to? There are specific plot points later on that shatter the illusion that you're playing in a very lighthearted setting. It never goes as far as Mother 3 does, but it still generates some mood whiplash.
  16. gegi Elitist Negative Nancy

Honestly can't remember, it's been ages. I have vague memories of toilet paper and a village with a really ridiculous name full of sweets.

If thought I could emulate a PS2 game, I'd be all over 5. I don't think I could stop picking Subaru choices though. xD Actually, I imagine a lot of folks on this forum would appriciate Subaru as much as I do. 'Subaru is Subaru.'

Oh god, Magical Starsign. Oh god.

Wait, the Mother crew made that?! The ending makes SO MUCH MORE SENSE now. Oh no. Don't tempt me to play that one. I don't even get it. Plus, it'd be cool if someone translated and played Magical Vacation first, so even I had some backstory. If there is any.

    gegi IT GETS WORSE.

Back on topic I'm thinking about LPing the rest of the free Zeiva games after Other Age. There's a decent following in my thread, so if they say they'd like to see them, I'd try. They're long as hell though, it'll be a long term project. Other Age already has been...

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread, since I never know what to LP. A lot of my favorite games are on PS2 and I'm pretty sure my computer couldn't handle it. ...Or I'd be all over Suikoden 5 just to be able to talk about it. Why have none of you played Suikoden 4 or 5!? You're breakin' my balls here.

Well everyone has food names in MS (except potentially the player because you get to choose). Your friends are: Lassi, Mokka, Chai, Pico, and Sorbet.

Anyway, the weirdness isn't as obvious before you get to Gren. I really liked the game, overall, and I highly recommend it.

Ha! I can tell by your response that you've played it.

    Dooo itttt, Teddy.

    Yeah. It really does.

Pffah. Why are you saying this? If no one does it before I find the rom and the time, and if the rom runs correctly on my crap computer, I'll think about it. Just because WHAT THE FUCK Magical Starsign.

I can't do multiple LPs though. I can barely manage one. So don't expect it soon.

Man that game. Just. Went down a dark road and never came back. Ugh. I was blindsided.

"WHAT THE FUCK Magical Starsign" is the best review of the game I've ever seen.

It was my first DS game ever. Yeah.

But for all that it's really weird and dark, Mokka is the most adorable robot in the universe.

Still, if you have Dolphin and a relatively souped-up rig then a Crystal Chronicles LP would be glorious. The DS games aren't nearly as good.
  26. Ozzo Hatoful Pigeon

Haven't played this myself, only seen brief clips of it. It doesn't have voice-acting but it has speechboxes. If you wanted to, you might be able to RP it. I've had some good luck with LPing RPGs unlikesomepointandclicksgrumble.

The problem with that is that the music is pretty essential to building the atmosphere. It wouldn't be nearly the same experience without it, especially one song in particular.
  28. Ozzo Hatoful Pigeon

That's what I was afraid of. Ah well, a stream would still be good.

    What. the Fuck. Magical Starsign.

Geezus Nebty, why didn't you hit Nintendogs or somethings sane first? Nononono. Bad move.

    I got attached to Mokka.

I'm getting kind of emotional, the end of that game really pissed me off. Trolling. I just, I can't...

Frankly, someone more entertaining than me should probably LP that. I'm not one of those people who drafts a second plot weeks in advance and makes it some kind of project. I do everything spur of the moment, as the screenshots come up on screen. And I'm not that funny/intersting even when I AM trying...

    Randomletters,

EEEE! Mario RPG might actually make a brilliant LP. That's a good damn game. And Digimon DS was pretty solid. I still play it once in a while. My Neptunemon, Wizardmon, Sorcerymon, Sakuyamon and Beelzemon are pretty boss. ..Beelzemon's a badass. The fact that mine has such a laid back personality is baffling and LOL worthy.

Aw, Teddy. I like that style of LP, though. It's very genuine. And you obviously have very strong feelings about Magical Starsign. :3

STRONG FEELINGS AND DISLIKE. It's why I ended up trading it in at a game store, I couldn't quite bring myself to play it again.

Yeah, yeah, read one of my LPs, then tell me what you think. :P I'm bland as hell compared to a lot of the veterans. I just like playing games no one else wants to/has heard of. xD

Which I suppose Magical Starsign applies as. God that game.

I was actually thinking about doing that one, but it would be kinda irresponsible with this huge arse LP I'm doing right now. It must be done by someone though.

Oh dear. I love that LP, but I made the mistake of going through it on a caffeine high. I tell you, it completely changes the experience.

    *sob*

Chewbot's LPs are probably the best narrative LPs around. They turn something incredibly sluggish and boring into a great story.

After thinking about it a bit more, I think the game I'm best qualified to write an LP for is an mmo.

    So, here are my choices:

    SWTOR:
It's the most story driven of the three choices with romance options and more character and story choices to play with. It's also the one I'm playing the most which could be a good thing or a bad thing.

    LOTRO:

The most picturesque of the group and the best realized game world. Perhaps the most timely, but also the hardest to get a new perspective on.

    Secret World:

I played this for a few weeks when it launched, but it didn't grab me enough to continue with a subscription. It's just gone F2P. It is definitely the game I've played the least, so I'd be learning as I go, but it's also the game I liked the least.

    Anyone have a preference?

I want someone to do a LP of that train game on Steam with all the super-expensive DLC.
