I'd be interested in seeing how UBW compares to the godawful anime. Good lord, I watched that back when it came out - seven years ago, now? - and I can still rant about it as if it were yesterday.

It shouldn't be surprising, considering my current avatar, but I'd be all over a Tales of the Abyss LP and if someone did it I'd love them forever. Yet another LP I'd love to do myself, but alas, I don't think I'd be able to manage it.

That would be Eternal Sonata, I believe! I've got to get around to finishing it...to be honest, I found it boring.

As for personal requests, I'd love to see Digital Devil Saga or Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha (either of them, though I have a strong preference DSRK vs. King Abaddon) LP'd.

I'm playing ToA on my 3DS and I'm really enjoying it so far. I rented it for PS2 way back in the day, but I didn't get very far because Luke got on my nerves.

To be fair, he gets better relatively quickly, in comparison to most JRPG heroes...

Any differences between the PS2 and 3DS versions beside the whole 'handheld' thing?

Also, count me in as one who would love a Tales of the Abyss LP.

Not that I can tell, other than the 3D (I leave it off 90% of the time).

I actually like Luke. Mostly because it's great playing a character who knows about as much as me of the world they live in. I don't have the frustration of being alienated from the game due to being THE ONLY ONE NOT KNOWING WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON. And I mean, yes, he's a brat, but I can deal with it because it makes sense considering how he was raised

Can't wait until he hits character development, though! He's already started!

Oh, and! I've been hearing really good things about the Atelier games, but the only one my video store has right now is $40, which is...outside of the impulse buy territory, right there. So I really want to see someone do Atelier (Anything), but especially Atelier Rorona, the one that comes right before the game I waaaaaaant to buy. (Because I gotta say, when I go to the Amazon page and the screenshots are full of multiple women talking to each other? Often about their friendly relationships? While the blurb talks about the protagonist trying to follow in the footsteps of her heroic adventurer mother? My GOODNESS but that sells me hard on a game.)

There's a great one of Atelier Rorona (and they're planning to do the whole trilogy at some point) going on right here! I think it's complete, too! It got me wanting to start playing the Atelier series, but I tried Sera Island which... was disappointing, to say the least. Any recommendations for better places to start?

I haven't played any, myself, but I heard that all of them were Relevant To My Interests, and that the most recent ones in particular were particularly good. So Rorona and Totori are the ones I'm looking at in particular. Also, thank you for the link! *girds up to wade in to that forum*

I saw there was a request for Earthbound earlier, is anyone else interested in doing that? I tried to start a Mother 1 LP but because I was playing blind I couldn't think of anything interesting to say. So I might try that, although it probably wouldn't start for a few weeks yet so if anyone else wants to do it you definitely should!

For a while I thought of LPing Atelier Annie, since is a Nintendo DS game... but then I had to make 100 screenshot only for the introduction since they talk A LOT in that game and every dialogue is a comedy so you can't just take pieces of it... so I decided against it.

I...I ended up breaking down and buying the used copy of the one Atelier game they had in the store, even though I really shouldn't. So I guess I'll find out for myself. (Don't tell anyone!)

Is this a decent image size? Can you guys read the subtitles okay? They're rather small, and there's no way to change that.

I downsized all of my screenshots so far from 1920x1080 to 1024x768 (thank God for Photoshop scripting). I have captured everything up until the mission on Mars.

Narbeef To your question, I wouldn't mind those image sizes, and the subtitles are clear enough despite their size. However, I have pretty good connection with internet thus pages load pretty quick. So there's that.

On a separate note, if you want to have this sort of discourse, a more suited place would be the Broken Sandbox where you can test the first few or so posts of your LP and get feedback. Just to put that there, un.

Narbeef I suspect the image size will be too large for most of us (and I can't really judge the loading speed from only one picture :P), so I would suggest just putting thumbnails in your post, or perhaps spoilering all the images/your updates.

I just, well see since you're in the planning phases I figured directing you where you could finangle and tinker and get the sort of response needed both quickly and in the manner you wished would do the most good. Image resizes are done in a second with Photoshop magic, as are my uploads.

Narbeef, you could always post smaller images and type the subtitles below it.

Like I said above, you can turn dialogue into a transcript instead of a gazillion images and just post a image when a character's face changes and such.

Problem is, you have to type that all out if you can't text hookers to do it for you. Any suggestions for software that can turn game words into a transcript easily?

True. It depends on how you want to do it, I suppose. Some of the LPs use that method.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually highly recommend Rose Destiny Dating Sim.
The art is laughable, it's full of glitches, the plotlines are executed clumsily, the user interface is sloppy, and the part time job adds nothing but unnecessary difficulty, but everything is so sincere and jam-packed with love and affection that somehow I don't mind as much as I normally would. Look at this colorful cast of love interests. And your coworker talks to you about how much she hates you while she secretly stalks you and has a shrine dedicated to you and asks your adoptive brother for your photos. And your dad has pink hair. It's great.

I kinda would want to try making a let's play of Star Ocean 4, because I think it's one of the most cliche-filled games I've ever seen. (Proof) Screenshotting from a PS3 would require me to go buy something that can take screenshots though ...

It is, indeed! But even though it's popular enough that people post fanart and MADs and pornography of it on tumblr, there's no English version, not even an English summary. And that's sad. The game itself only costs just over eight dollars, so I'd be happy to buy it if I were able to understand it. Sigh.

I would, I really really really would...but I'm too poor >.< Also I do not understand Japanese (but I'm sure it would be funny regardless) and translating is an awful lot of effort.

It's okay, Umazes. If I still have money on my pre-paid visa once I'm done buying Fire Emblem: Awakening and Hakuouki, I am going to play that game for you. It is worth almost nine dollars, in my opinion.

I also caved and got it, and my mind has just been reeling at the QUALITY. Too bad my ITH doesn't seem to really like working with it though, the game keeps stuttering and it's nigh unplayable. ;______;
