I'll second Raidou Kuzunoha! I only got an hour or two into the first game, but it has one of the most interesting game settings I've seen.

Not going near anything that is associated with that game. Nope.

I had to stop. About a third of the way through or something. I just. I couldn't. I was getting physically ill reading the review.

I'm pretty sure that song is worse than the actual game.

To be clear, this post has nothing to do with the game being discussed above.

This is me committing myself to getting off my ass and starting ST3 this evening since my skills in video capture have finally progressed past the "How do I make this file less ginormous so I can uploaderise it to the YouPipes" stage. My Japanese skills are not good, but I can make up for that with my rusty French! Probablement. Pas vraiment.

I'd like to see someone else play Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journeys. Because I tried to play it, got confused and stuck, and finally gave up, and much as the characters are all sort of ridiculous in this "No, really, we are SERIOUS ADULTS who are DARK and use REAL SWEAR WORDS" way, I actually wanted to see how the plot turned out.

I was tempted to do a Persona 4 Golden LP, because it's awesome, but I'm probably <5 hours (85+ hours in) from finishing my first playthrough, and New Game+ carries over enough stuff that it would detract from some of the build-up process involved in a fresh playthrough. The problem is I didn't realize that the PSVita has a super-easy built-in screencap feature until really late into my game, or I would've been screencapping my general progress and I could've used that for an LP. :(

Also, Chie + Yu as OTP. Yosuke can find someone else.

BTW, does anyone know if there's a way to screencap on the 3DS/3DSXL? I'm pretty sure Fire Emblem: Awakening is going to be my next portable gaming obsession once it arrives, and I'd do an LP if I could make native screencaps.

Yeah, I really don't think interest checks are at all necessary. Just do an LP if you really want to; if you're interested in a game, chances are that other people will be too.

Speaking of GH, I've come across a yuri version called Gakuen Madonna, but I don't think it's made by the same people. And best of all, this one's free! I haven't tried it myself, though.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I said before that GH was being a pain with ITH, but it was just my lappy being moody. It works fine; in fact I would say the game is improved with non-parsed machine translations....

Probably not gonna get a third game, though, since one: it's been years since the second game, and two: the sequel is a follow-up to the let's-go-dance-with-dad-haha-who-needs-boys ending of the first game, but the screw-everything-I-don't-need-no-guys ending of the second game wraps things up pretty tightly.
I like how you can only get cheat codes when you're forever alone.

Time to calmly accept my fate and play this mofo as well. Once I'm done with the first game.

I got impatient so I caved. Whee~

So I was thinking about doing an Infinite Space LP, and took about 50 or so screencaps just from the introduction (ROM version on PC, because even though I have the game it's a PITA to get screencaps on a DSi), but then remembered that Fire Emblem is out in a week and I'll quickly switch over to that game. I can try to post/write up the start of an LP for it now, but it will likely go fallow for a bit once FE:A releases, or I can hold onto the screencaps as I get bits of playtime in, and just post a more complete LP all-at-once. Still haven't decided.

You know, I'd love to see an LP of King of Dragon Pass one of these days...

I'd do it myself, but I don't see myself having the time to dump hours into it. That said, with my luck, the game would end within 4 - 5 years.

I'd like to see that too! I bought the game, but got so confused in my first attempt to play it that I'd like to see someone else go through so that I can get some vague idea of how it works.

Same, I'd love to see an LP of it too! Seems like it'd be great for audience participation, from what I know of it.

Would anyone be interested in seeing a Fire Emblem let's play? I've been thinking of doing one for Seisen No Keifu I just need to figure out how I'd go about with voting. Because it's the possibility of audience participation that makes me think it'd be really fun!

But voting for Fire Emblem pairings can be troublesome.
There are like 5 options for each character, and when you settle on a pairing you're blocking other possible pairings and omg it can get complicated.

It's a trippy-ass free RPG Maker game that is absolutely incredible. I've played some hours of it and I'm still not sure what's going on.
Your only weapon is a gun with eyes and lips called Genie that claims to be not only your conscience but your id as well.

In this game, the protagonist is one bitching looking gentleman who can and must play his acoustic guitar to get past some in-game obstacles. I shit you not.
The maps are confusing and seem to be fueled by obscene amounts of LSD. The enemies are creepy as fuck and/or absolutely and utterly nonsensical. Your objective, as Genie says in the opening lines, is to give this world a fucking bloodbath.

I would LP this myself but since there's little story going on I could only comment of the balls-trippingly insane everything, and that gets boring quickly, I assume. Besides, I'm not sure I could do this game justice.

EDIT EDIT: Did I mention you can kill basically everything? Even passive NPCs who did nothing but talk to you, offer you a free ride on their transcendental bus or save your game. Even those NPCs.
Especially those NPCs.

I was thinking that'd be the part people could have fun with! But with 14+ options (for the bachelors alone) I dunno HOW I'd manage it via the forum system. I mean I could make a post for each unit/possible pairing and go by 'likes', but it'd almost be forum spamming with the high amount. Or would a poll be better? I'm just...unsure.

Yep that one! Where everyone can have a lover and by everyone I mean I'd be willing to use cheatcodes to pair up the guys who don't score a gal. But the pairing blocking would be a fact! That and, I'd prefer some pairings over others just to keep my sanity for

reasons.

I was also debating on if I should try to get as much pairing content from the game as possible, like if I know there'll be in-game scenes I could officially list those pairing for voting. OR if I should cut loose, let people go wild, vote for their favorites, and make whatever pairing, then write up my own supports/narrative for them which I'm not going to lie, sounds crazy fun though I dunno if people would want to put up with what would equate to a fanfiction heavy LP. Either way could work, I just wish I knew what people would prefer...and how I could inform them without giving away all the delicious plot twists.

Clearly, it must be just as awesome as Middens. Even without the Bitching Protagonist.

Personally, I think it would be best if you chose the pairings for the first generation, just so you don't die horribly in the first mission of the second generation.
Now, about the second generation shenanigans, I'd say go wild. It's you LP, after all, do what you think would be most fun! We, the readers, will have fun whatever you choose, really.
Having you write some support conversations for characters that don't have canon relationships sounds interesting, though. That means I could pair some random dudes for delicious BL.

I mean yeah. Yeah. What Ana said sounds pretty ideal, if we don't want you wiping later due to misinformed choices. Maybe keep it within the predestined pairings as well?

EDIT: Okay, fixed the spoilery bits. Didn't think it was that spoilerific since it's a game mechanic that was advertised with the game, but you're probably right. xD
