Also an English offal meatball. Faggots in gravy - yum.

And fag of course is either a cigarette, or the old system of social structure in English boarding schools, junior boys would fag (run errands/ do chores) for seniors. Was still in place in my house, even though not in most other houses at my school.

    "Can I bum a fag?"
"Do what you like, I'm not one to judge."
    "What?"

Still makes me giggle whenever I remember that exchange.

I wonder if the junior boys ( who I imagine came in for lots of abuse, including name-calling) were mockingly called homosexual, as boys seem to do, and that's why fag now has that meaning. Is it also the origin of "fagged out" as "tired out from overwork"?

Implied instead of mockingly for the first, and yes for the second.

This link is a good read on the history of the word.

Edit: Yeah, so I think it might be a llama in the picture (I have trouble telling the difference between llamas and alpacas), but I couldn't resist another bad pun. I have a problem.

I love this because dogs really have no concept of their own body size as they grow up. The dog across the street is a nearly fully-grown Rottweiler and he still thinks he can snake in between peoples' legs.
