I miss WaWa so goddamn much. Ingmar doesn't understand why. I keep explaining to him that sometimes you need a sub at 3am, and no one here in California provides me that service. Yet he still doesn't get it!

I've never seen a 24-hour Subway, but that place is a rip-off compared to WaWa. The meats and bread aren't just worse, they give you barely any meat at all in comparison. The price/value/quality all favors Wawa over Subway. I'm sorry for those that don't have Wawa.

We live in a 2 am town, there are 24 hour places around but we have to go fairly far.

What's amazing is that even though WaWa subs are delicious, they're not even the best subs around here!

I would argue that Primo Hoagies and even Capriottis are better chain sub places and that's not even counting all the local mom+pop sub joints.

"Super" Wawa is just regular Wawa in the Lehigh Valley. They're all gas stations now. Well, they're all deli/convenience stores with gas stations tacked on. You know what, there's just little distinction anymore from what I can tell. Yeah you can get gas there after buying your badass hoagie.

Yeah, it's true. Wawa isn't the ultimate hoagie store, but it is the ultimate convenience store largely because it has awesome hoagies.

Additionally: I live near the original Wawa, and I have a sort of quasi-religious experience whenever I go in there even though it isn't the nicest one. On a clear day you can just about see two other Wawas from the parking lot of that Wawa. It is glorious.

But you know what? I had Primo's in mind for lunch today and it only took about three seconds on the phone with them to remind me that the one near my work is subpar in pretty much every way. Primo's does not have great quality assurance. Guess where I ended up going instead.
