Though for Christmas it is my fondest wish that Santa leaves you a brand new facial expression.

I do have several facial expressions. It's just that I can't do them on command without looking like a psycho axe murderer. I'll have to ask my parents to send me a copy of one of the pictures they'll doubtless ambush me with during Christmas for proof.

Hah - when going through my camera, I found some photos from last week's gaming session. Which usually entails me (the GM) making lunch for the players. One of them caught me dicing ham and apparently looking rather perturbed.



In retrospect, I should have just kept the knife in hand for the rest of the session.

The wife of one of my players makes cupcakes a lot. Said player rides a Vespa, so the state those cupcakes arrive in is always a crapshoot. Besides, when my players bring food it's pizza or nachos or in one rare case, lasagna. I tend to make things like spinach-and-bacon croissants or in this case, faux beef Wellington popovers.

Ah. You're punishing them. Brilliant. ;)

No, no. They're faux-Wellingtons because instead of a beef tenderloin wrapped in ham with a mushroom paste, I used cubed ham, wrapped in thin-sliced roast beef, with the chopped mushrooms/garlic/parsley paste.

That looks like a handy Knife +1/+3 vs faux beef.

My creativity is gone, I'm grinding through Stargate SG1 and am only halfway through the first season. See you guys in the emergency room!

One of the players in my old group was pretty good in a kitchen, but also very disorganized and not into cleaning - so soon all wives of all the other players had placed a provision on game nights that he'd not be allowed in the kitchen. One of them even had a sign made...

I miss my old gaming group. Yeah, the folks are still around here, but for whatever reason just haven't been as active lately. Or else they've just stopped inviting me for whatever reason.

Their loss, though. I always brought a selection of decent microbrews to choose from, and did my part to help clean up the dishes.

I shaved my head and started wearing hats.

The biggest adjustment to going bald and further deciding to shave my head is remembering to put sunscreen on if I plan on going out without a hat.

I've decided to let my hair grow long despite going bald on the sides. At least I can keep a mohawk in the future!
