Yeah, I started playing in high-school and took it all the way through University (I got my Bachelor's degree in music education). I don't really play that much at all anymore as performance was really not my strong suit - I much preferred musical theory and composition. Of course, after school I promptly got a job that had absolutely nothing to do with music and have continued on that tradition ever since!

Sounds familiar. I also played through college, did a bit of gigging, but pretty much gave it up when I went to law school. After a couple of fits and starts I finally got serious about playing again (in an amateur sense at least) several years ago.

Apparently some people thought my comment was made with malice, when it was a joke about the necklace, and me and quat have been trading jabs online for almost a decade now so I tried to work him in. I'm glad Switch understood it as it was, and not as a personal attack.

Also, I'm not drunk. Yet. Though this egg nog is working its magic. And it's a cool necklace.

And uh, in any case I was just interested because I've seen some fair few jewelry like pieces similarly and it looks very pretty also.

I was rereading this thread, and I noticed something about your pic that didn't quite register the first time: you look happy. Genuinely happy. I don't know if that's a normal state for you or not, but given all the problems & issues you've mentioned in various threads, I have to say I'm super impressed. I'm a straight white male with no gender dysmorphism, I don't have OCD, and my depression is fairly mild. (In other words, I don't have have much to bitch about.) And yet I think I rarely glow like you are in that pic.

Awww. Thanks. Quat gets such good pictures of me because as he's taking the photo he tells me how much he loves me, and we're absolutely crazy about each other, so... glow. He just makes me that damn happy. :D
